What seemed to be a promising lunch was a big disappointment.
I had heard that Loubies was open later and now offering lunch so I decided to make my way there for a light lunch. I have to say the place is fairly nice. It is clean, comfortable, and has lots of windows (this also makes it cold in the winter).
My lemon rice soup was actually halfway tasty. The chopped salad I ordered was horrible. It tasted as if someone went across the street to Aldi's and grab a bag of salad and threw it in a bowl with a tiny amount of chopped ham and bacon. My requests for fat free dressing went unnoticed and regular Ranch was served to me in a packet like at Wendy's.
I mentioned my feelings about my lunch to the waitress and the gentleman at the checkout. They did not take any action to see that I left satisfied.
I say avoid at all costs, unless you want to want to overpay for a decent setting and bad lunch options.
Best breakfast in NWI.
First off, this place is sorta in a shady part of NWI but nothing to be afraid of.
The food is awesome. Try the stuffed french toast with all the berries. My family and I went to Sophia's (not a fan) and Loubie's on my recent trip back home. Sophia's charges a buck for that canned whipped cream they top pancakes with. What a fk'n joke I shoulda hit the grocery store down the block and topped our pancakes and french toast with our own whipped cream instead of getting scammed to the tune of 4 bucks for crappy imitation whipped cream.
My family and I now have a new breakfast place. Good food, nice staff and they don't charge for whipped cream.
