I used to work here, that being said, I still go as often as I can because of how awesome the food is. Also they have the best happy hour in town hands down. Great work guys

Great place to hang out on the deck and have a few drinks.  You can see the lake and I think until the city starts the development of lakeside dining, it is the best you will get :).

Some of their food feels like catering food ( the chicken breasts and sauces (as they own a catering company next door)) so stick to some of the more Irish or Bar type foods.

Trivia night really brings the folks in, and the interior is kinda small but the patio is still usually open. If you can't get in Luna or just feel like a change, definitely go here for a great night of food and drink.

I really love this place!  It is one of the best things to come to LC in a long time.  They're changing up their menu a bit, which kinda upset me, but the food was still good.  I really miss their lamb pot pie.  That thing was delicious!!!  If you're in LC looking for something different, this is the place for you!

Tues night you can feed your brain as well as your tummy! They have Trivia at 7pm. Winner gets a 50 dollar bar tab. Yea bring it on! Laid back and fun place to have drinks over facts and food. Hope you enjoy. I did.

Beer/wine/cider were great.  Friends loved the Reuben, stew, chicken sandwich, and potato soup.  I had burger with cabbage and and sweet potato fries.  All of it was great.

Waitress was knowledgeable and friendly.  She made one mistake on one order - not bad considering we were drinking/ordering/laughing/eating for three hours.  And it was a lucky mistake - my husband loved the chicken sandwich that he would not have ordered.

I have found my newest/best place to eat and found my newest/best thing to drink - a cider that I think is called Strongbow ...guess I'll have to go have another to remember the name :)

Went here with a crowd of co-workers the other night. The beer selection is great and the food is good as well. I had the Fish & Chips but after seeing other dishes come out that others at the table ordered, I would definitely visit again and try some of the others. (The chicken and dumplings looked particularly good) I definitely recommend MacFarlane's for the beer and pub grub.

we went there on a saturday night, april 22nd. place was empty at 8pm, and  remained that way the 2 hours we were there. An Irish bar with only one draft beer; that struck as odd.
We ate there unfortunately; generally the food was awful. Worst were the salads, and the fish and chips. The fish was frozen, and the  chips were in fact potato chips, not french fries..as everywhere  else in the workd serves fish n chips :(
When we complained  the wait staff were unhelpful, and the kitchen  staff refused to accept our complaints.

All in all a bad experience. The reason we went there  because of the great reviews on the web; all of us concluded that the reviews must have been written  by the staff as opposed to true customers.

MacFarlane's Celtic Pub features appetizers such as a Scotch egg, fried pickles & peppers, a toad in a hole and more classics. Beer battered fish sandwiches, Reubens, and ribeye sandwiches and other hearty choices including fun burger selections such as the Limerick Burger that add to the charm of the Celtic restaurant and pub.
    I don't usually indulge myself, but MacFarlane's also features over 130 different beers! So, enjoy MacFarlane's Monday-Saturday 10:30 a.m.-midnight.

I recently dined in at MacFarlane's, as a appetizer I had the 'Pickles and Peppers' which are fried dill pickles and fried green jalapeno's. Based on previous Yelp! reviews, my entrée was the fish and chips, JC had 'The Dubliner', which is grilled chicken breast with bacon and cheese, lettuce, tomato, and roasted garlic with a shallot mayo. I believe she chose a jalapeno bread to put this all on and it was delicious. The chicken was super tender, the bacon and cheese added flavor and the garlic made it well rounded without being overbearing.  With this sandwich, she had fries, which seemed to me to have been tossed with a little more than the traditional salt and pepper, they were pretty tasty as well.

My fish and chips consisted of fried cod, cole slaw, and potatoes cut and fried into what resembled potato chips, but slightly thicker. It's what they are calling 'hand cut fries'. The fish and chips wasn't the heavy, almost tempura, beer batter that I am accustomed to yet it wasn't the cornmeal and flour batter that is prevalent in the southern states. I could tell it was indeed a beer batter that was spiced properly but nevertheless it wasn't what I was expecting. I suppose this is the more traditional means of battering fish in England rather than the thicker Americanized version. Even so, the fish still tasted very good. The cole slaw didn't do anything for me, and the sliced potato fries were good, but nothing I haven't had before or couldn't make at home.

Nice sized portions....I will definitely be back again to try more of what they have, along with their 'Drunken Irish Bread Pudding' as I was too full to even attempt it this time. Anyone that reads my reviews knows I can't pass that up.....

They have an enormous amount of beer that I can wait to start trying. ( I had to go back to work ). The service was great! If you like Celtic, you will live this pub!!

This place has only been open for short while and has quickly become a favorite of mine. They have over 100 different type of beers. The food is tasty and the portions are large. They have some unique items on the menu, such as Scotch Eggs, a boiled egg rolled in breakfast sausage battered and fried. You must be 21 years of age or older to enter this place.

This was our first visit and we will become steady customers. I forgot how many different beers they have but they took up over half the menu. The atmosphere was Celtic with the servers in tradition Scottish dress.
Now to the food. I always order the shepards pie when I eat at a Celtic restaurant so I consider myself a sort of expert. This was by far the best I ever had. All the traditional herbs and spices were evident as well as their quantities. It all came together for an amazing meal that even William Wallace would have enjoyed.
We will be back to try the Irish Stew next time and work through the Celtic menu.
