Mahoney's Bar & Grill

I thought this place was great!  I think before someone gives this place a bad review they should tour some of the other watering holes in the community.  This one is unique.  I think if you're more of a HoDo patron rather than a Vics type you would like this place.  It has a nice ambiance, simple menu, strong drinks, good selection of beer and a nice view.  I've been here a couple times and the staff have always been friendly and prompt.  There's ample seating, pull tabs, blackjack and music.  Not sure what there is not to like about this place.  Have stopped in here for lunch and it was great.  Have also came by on a weekend night and there was a fun vibe in the bar and great music.  I think the place caters more to a younger professional crowd that isn't afraid to have spend a few bucks and have a real drink.  Not sure if I'd recommend it, nor want to be there with the 21-year-old "lets pounds cheap beers" college crowd and I think so far they have done well keeping them out so you can relax in there.  Definitely worth checking out.

Don't waste your time with this place!!!

My experience was HORRIBLE. Service, what is that? Non existant at this place. You have to get up and order your food at the back of the place. They are supposed to call your number when your food is ready. Mine sat for 20 minutes before i finally asked for it. They only offer burgers(no lettuce tomatoes mayo) and a few other generic deep fried items. It barely tastes better than school lunch food, if it even tastes that good. I got charged for other peoples drinks. To top it all off, I got an attitude when I asked them to explain the charges to me. They didn't even offer to make it right. I asked "so what are we going to do to fix this." The lady replied: "you are going to pay your bill" then stormed off. I paid it just to done with it and let her know it.
