Great date night. Service was great. I didn't see the bill (first date) so I can't tell you pricey or good a deal the place might be.

Dim, but not too dim lighting.

Very clean restrooms. (This is very important to me.)

    Only Valet option. :(

    Waitress was wonderful!

I had Salmon. Seemed very small portion to me. Over a orange/mustard-y sauce & asparagus. Delish!

I was in heels- wood floors very slippery. Be careful - don't fall flat on your face on a date there! LOL

I can not complain about anything, service was exceptional and so was any dish we ordered.  The stuffed pepper for an appetizer was good and the stuffed veal chop lived up to its reputation.  The stuffed veal chop is an entree you would expect to find in a german restaurant, but nonetheless, excellent down to the bone.

Live local and have wanted to try this for quite some time.  Finally made it and place was fantastic, but expect to pay a bit more than in your average italian restaurant.  We started off with the rice balls, they were fantaitic as was the marinara that accompanied them.  For dinner my wife had the rigatoni maginifico.  unique dish for an itlalaina restaruant, pasta with filet mignone, brocli rabe and a brown sauce, delicious. I had the stuffed veal chop...amazing dish.

service was great, atmoshpere lively and a bit loud.  Doesnt get much better

This is my spot. Im here 2-3 times a week. I have never felt more comfortable in a restaurant in my life. This place is a raging success and is allways packed. And it couldnt of happened to a nicer family. John who is the brother who is running the day to day at this location is an incredible warm person allways has time for a handshake or quick confo with his regulars and the place reflects that personality trait. Now for the food. I dont think i have ever seen such range from a chef. Even though this is mainly an italian restaurant you will be happily surprissed if you order something thats not italian. But if you do order italian you are in for an amazing dinner. I have tried the entire menu and every special that i can get before its sold out. You cannot make a mistake here its all excellent. The staff - The people selected are a perfect mix of business and pleasure. There friendly yet allways aware of whats going on around them as to not forget someone elses needs. A perfect balance. The magic of this place is simple, because the magic is simply caring and everyone here does.

Consistency in quality is huge with me, and this place is spot on.  The food was off the hook!!!  It can get very busy so you are best to make a reservation.

    We had the:

Mussles Bianco - the sauce was so good we were dunking the bread in it, we could not get enough

Calamari Arbbiata - DELICIOUS!!!  Squid was cooked perfectly and the sauce had just the right mount of spice and kick.

Lasagna - my wife doesnt usually like red tomato sauce and she loved her dish

Penne Dolce Vite - huge portion, tons of flavor.  So much seafood (fresh crab mean, 7shrimp, 5 scallops.

My 2 complaints would that it was FREEZING in the place and for me to say that it was really cold.  Both times I was there is a very frigid, the fans on the ac unit were blowing very hard.  It almost felt windy. My other complaint is that they dont tell you the prices of specials.  We were shocked to get the bill and see that my friends red snapper dinner special was $32!!!

The first time I wanted to go here, we didn't have a reservation and the wait was hours.  Then, we  tried again about 6 months later.  Although it is a bit pricey, it was the best Italian food I have had in a restaurant in a long time!  Being Italian myself, I'm a bit of a snob and critic when it comes to eating in an Italian restaurant.  This place is top notch!

Absolutely the best Italian food around!

What can I say about a place that runs well and is always trying to give you the freshest quality food for the money.  If they have Burratta flown in from Italy you must get it as this is the best tasting I have ever had!  Get there early or the wait will make you contemplate going somewhere else.   Don't listen to that voice.  My water glass is always filled and I have always received good service.  The waiter who I prefer is something like, Iterio and he is their best waiter.  I can find cheaper food elsewhere and maybe I will be lucky to find another good italian place but I have tried so many in the area and am always dissappointed and end up back at Mannino's.

Food was very good. However the portions are very small and very very over priced and after the first 10 minutes i was tired of listening to the waiters stories trying to get a conversation with my date I was with.  Creep.

Well, the positive is the food is amazing, nice atmosphere and the manager Italo, makes you feel welcome and very  accomodating.  The negative comes when we said NO to drinks when the waiter ( MIKE) asked and we got an immediate, obvious attitude which was unprofessional and made us feel very uncomfortable. When he came back to take our order instead of speaking to us, he just  blankly stared at me waiting for me to speak. I understand they want to make money but to make customers feel unworthy of their business because of not having a drink, is rude. With all the restaurants out there they better read this and get a new attitude. ( By the way this is the second time it happened from a different person)

First time at Mannino's last night. Excellent atmosphere. Live music, good bar crowd while waiting for your table. Staff was very attentive and friendly. Only one negative. My wife and I both had the specials. We had the stuffed veal chop and the lamb chops. Although it was excellent, it was a bit over priced ($32 lamb) ($38 Veal).  Usually, when your told of the specials, one assumes they're a good value as well as the restaurants specialty. Not some of the most expensive items on the menu. The waiter, nor the specialty board advertised this. 2 appetizers, 2 dinners and 2 drinks for $150( with Tip), plus another $50 (4drinks) at the bar while waiting. I find to be a bit pricey. We eat out very often and found that to be the only sour note. Yet, a sour note as ur walking out the door, puts a little damper on your evening lol

Very impressed!  Great service, great drinks, and outstanding food.  The ambiance was great, romantic and dark.  I will definitely return.

I went to Mannino's for the second time last night and as was the case the first time, the food was excellent. The atmosphere is modern and nice, however, it can have a tendancy to get loud.
The only negative was that our waiter was awful. My family and I sat down and while he asked us for our drink order shortly after we sat (we all only had water so he probably wasn't interested in us anymore) it took him more than 20 minutes to return to our table. He then started reading the specials. Really guy? We've sat here for 20 minutes looking at the menu and now you're going to give us other options. It was quite obvious, he was outside smoking cigarettes instead of waiting on his table and he stunk of smoke when he returned.
Aside from the poor service, was a great experience.

They have some really great pizza, the sicilain slice is exactly what it should be, crispy on the bottom, light and fluffy on top.  Soups and their pin wheels are really great as well.  I have been a patron at this place from way before the renovation and they did a fabulous job seperating the pizzeria with the restaurant.  Great Job Mannino's

Best Italian food ever! Definitely call ahead for a reservation. The bar prices are reasonable and the stuffed veal chop is the greatest.

Took clients for dinner and was pleasantly surprised. The restaurant is well decorated  the staff well trained and very friendly. Started at the bar with cocktails and the antipasti. I was a bit disappointed when i was told I could not transfer the bar tab to my dinner bill.

I will rate the food a 3+ but we are afforded piece and quite so we could discuss buiness.

Best Italian food I've had out. Ever.

I came here with the family for my sister's birthday and everything was phenomenal. We started with a Russian River Valley pinot noir, it was light on the tannins and had hints of black cherry and vanilla to the nose. Our waiter even brought out a decanter! We inhaled the fresh baked bread with olive oil. And it wasn't just olive oil - it had parmigiano reggiano cheese, red pepper flakes, salt, pepper, and balsamic vinegar. All pasta was cooked al dente, and seafood was tender and flavorful. The steamed mussels special made me love mussels. It was cooked in a white wine sauce  with herbs and spices.

Having grown up with Italian food I know when restaurants know how to prepare it. Everything was tastefully prepared and presented. I love mannino's!

Mannino's: right off Montauk Hwy. has excellent valet svc., a lovely new patio, lounge w/tables, noisy-yes, efficient staff, and a warm greeting. They don't take reservations but for a party of 15 they made an exception. My group dwindled bef. the event and they were still accommodating. That is all well and good, however, feed me! The eggplant rollatini was not set as in the cheese flowed out like lava-very offputting. Nothing was salted...not the pasta water, not the dish, not the order of spuds. The red sauce was raw and flat. There was no acid zing. I cook a fast sauce and it has more taste. I am willing to give them the recipe. Sauce matters and just because you can slap on some cheese, you still need a great sauce. Mashed potatoes: As I drew my fork to my mouth I dropped a dollop down the cleavage. I tried again and it fell on my arm. What the!? I realized that there were large chunks of potato that were not mashed and when the lump was on the side of the fork the whole morsel was pulled off. Wait while I fish this out and still look like a lady. We stayed till closing with dessert and my diners were pleased with the sweet treats. I had the ice cream covered in chocolate shell and drowned in a mtn. of whipped cream. There was some sticky jelly center that stuck to the tooth. A couple still lingered on the patio with us as the night drew to a close and the gentleman wished to use the men's room before taking off and found the door locked. LOL. Well, the setting was lovely.

We have been driven by this place many times and it was always packed. One Friday we caught it early enough where it wasn't too crowded. Since it was a beautiful summer day we dined on the outdoor patio where we had a wonderful time. The service was top notch, it had a great wine list and the food was excellent.

Every weekend I find myself doing the same thing .... driving around aimlessly looking for somewhere to eat and ending up somewhere less than desirable because by the time everyone agrees, I am starving.

I have driven by Manino's a few times, and every time I see it I point and say "Wow! That place looks really nice!!" This last time I passed it, I made the driver turn around so that we could eat there.  It was a beautiful day, sunny outside, not too hot, not too cold perfect!  We walked into Manino's and was greeted by a very friendly Maitre D who asked us if we wanted to sit inside or outside, since they had just opened their patio that week.  Even though the ambiance inside was absolutely gorgeous, the weather outside was nice for the first time in God knows how long, so we opted for outside. The patio was gorgeous! Nice Italian music playing, beautiful brick work, and comfy outside chairs.  We started off with some wine and a salad which was definitely big enough for two - we were each going to order one thank god we didn't because the shared portion was more than I would normally eat.  It was the "Neonata DiPere" - um ... if you love salad, if you think salad is just okay, if you hate salad, you need to try this salad.  It was honestly, the most delicious salad I have ever had.  It was baby greens topped with pears, gorgonzola cheese, and caramelized pecans in a raspberry vinaigrette.  I seriously could eat this salad for my last meal.  I do not even like pecans, but these pecans were delicious! The whole combo was delicious.  Next, we both went with the Ahi Tuna, a sesame crusted pan seared tuna.  I can not say enough about this dish.  It was DELICIOUS.  Sesame crusted tuna is my favorite dish of all time, and I have had it many places, but Manino's most definitely comes in as a front runner for best sesame tuna I have ever had.  It was perfectly cooked, the crust was delicious, the tuna was SO fresh.  The portion was huge, I was forcing food down at the end and the dish was just set up so beautifully.  We finished with the Tiramisu, and it was just like Nonna used to make, delicious.  It was made with lady fingers, not the typical white cake soaked in anisette, the cream was so light and ugh just delicious.  I honestly do not have one bad thing to say about the food I received at Manino's.  I would definitely recommend this to anyone.  The pricing is definitely reasonable for the portions you receive.  I was reading the menus online and seems as though they have the same dinner entrees for lunch, for about $10 less if you're not looking to spend a lot.   Also, they have a beautiful bar area which seems like a nice place to have a drink with a date or a few friends :)

The service is outstanding, the atmosphere both inside and outside is great, I will definitely be back.  A new favorite for sure.

    Phenominal, period.

We had heard good things from our Realtors and decided to celebrate our progress with finalizing our move to the island on a Friday night about 7:30pm.  Drove up, valet service.  Nice cars in the lot indicated upscale, fine dining.

Walked in and was promptly greeted by several staff members, including the Maitre D.  The lounge and bar was busy but not overcrowded.  We were asked what kind of seating we would like; booth, window, etc.  We chose the window seat which overlooks a gated brick patio with tables and Cinzano umbrellas.  Everyone looked like they were having a good time.  The atmosphere was really warm.  Black tubed, high quality, comfortable seats surrounded tables with white linens.  Guests were dressed nicely.  No ties or jackets about, but everyone was dressed to impress.  People wearing jeans were wearing NICE jeans, with dress shoes and dress shirts.

We were seated and within a few minutes had crusty bread, butter and ice water.  The butter was formed in the shape of flowers and had a nice salty/creamy flavor.  Italo [our waiter] introduced himself and took our drink orders; Grey Goose Martini and Greay Goose and Tonic, totaling $21.

After receiving our drinks, Italo went over the specials.  WOW.  His voice was nice and pleasing with a mixed Italian/NY accent.  The specials were extensive and sounded delicious; they were!  He made some recommendations, one of them being the Mussels Bianco with Gorgonzola.  OMG.  Amazing.  Caitlin and I had our first real experience with eating Mussels and were astounded at their flavor.  Beautiful black shells served in a shallow bone white bowl, complimented with an amazing reduction of white wine, garlic, broth and spices with Gorgonzola infused.  We ate every single one.  $9.95.

We ordered the Tile Fish [Flounder] and Stuffed Veal Chop special.  In addition, we ordered some wine to go with our meal.  Kendall Jackson Chardonnay and the Ruffino Riserva Duca [$22 total].  The wait was noticeable and kind of surprising considering how wonderful everything else had been.  In any event, the food was fabulous.  The fish was mild and well seasoned.  The Veal Chop had a french cut, giving it the same appearance as a leg of lamb.  The chop was stuffed with cheese and prosciutto.  It was nicely crusted and laying on bed of mashed potatoes and marsala-like mushroom wine sauce.  Both plates totaled $64.

Time for dessert...  Double espresso,  glass of Sambuca, Key Lime Mousse cake and the Chocolate Chip special.  Amazing.  I've never had Sambuca.  I remember my family having it after nice meals and I wish I knew what I was missing.  Sipping it and allowing it to spread all over my tongue created a wonderful exxperience.  The Key Lime mousse was light and sweet, taking me back to the FL Keys.  Dessert was in total about $29, including the Sambuca.

All in alll, this was a great experience and Cait and I were thrilled to have gone to Manninos.  I would recommend it for couples or dinner and drinks with friends.  We were celebrating and ordered everything we wanted.  Of course this ran us $190 with 18% tip.  Drinks were about $50 of the bill.  Something else to be aware of is the specials don't have advertised prices so if money is tight, be sure to ask before ordering.

    Chiao~

I was out visiting family on Long Island and decided to try this new spot for a nice Friday night dinner. It was fantastic. Very simple menu with all of the staple Italian starters and main courses.

What really shined were the specials. Everyone at the table ordered off of the special menu and were not disappointed - we had a a stuffed veal chop, swordfish dish and some other fine dishes.

Service was impeccable. Two minor downsides 1) price, a little high but worth a nice night out 2) they do not take reservations....though the bar area is so nice that you won't mind sitting back and enjoying a cocktail while your table is getting ready.

    Will definitely be back!

I drove by this place twice in the last month and it caught my eye - so we finally decided to try it out. We were greeted by a friendly staff and the atmosphere was nice - perfect for couples or dinner/drinks with friends. The menu was a little pricier than I was expecting, but it was affordable when we split a starter and main dish (watch out for the $7 splitting charge). Entrees seemed to begin around $14 for basic pasta dishes and got pricier for chicken and other meat dishes. Wines by the glass start at around $8/glass and bottles start around $28.
