Really chill place my buddy Luci showed me. It's on the border of Downtown and the Haymarket. Really chill atmosphere, simply a place to go and drink and relax with friends, so no dancing or anything like that.
Another thing I like about them is their music selection. They play a lot of Pogues and other Irish drinking bands, which fits the place perfectly.
The only thing I don't care for is that all three times I've gone so far, they seem to be out several kinds of alcohol or mixers. Not a huge deal since they have quite a bit, and it's kinda funny sometimes anyway, but could be annoying for some people.
McCourts Ale House is a traditional Irish pub recently opened in Lincoln Nebraska. It is just south of O street on 9th. It's within easy walking distance of downtown hotels and parking garages, otherwise parking is on the street. There's Guinness and Smithwick's on tap. I don't think there's any food available, but it has a great Irish pub atmosphere. They regularly host local Irish dancers and are really working toward being an authentic Irish pub. Give them a try for a pint.
