Bourbon Theater

Sweet, huge venue, lots of good shows, bar, good sound.

One of the better places in Lincoln to get a drink and/or catch a show.

I've only been here a few times, but so far they've always been solid experiences. Just a few weeks ago some people and I went to a rave here in support of somebody's frat or something. No acid (at least that I could tell), but plenty of alcohol and neon, so 2 out of 3 ain't bad XD

There's two bars, one by the entrance and another one in the music venue further back. Their prices are comparable to most other places for beers and mixed drinks. I was having mostly tall boys of Miller Lite just to get drunk, but I also tried a gin and tonic that was mixed very smooth. I've heard their other cocktails are legit, so next time I'll have to try some and tell y'all how they are.

Some decent concerts come through here, for Lincoln anyway. Mostly local or regional bands, from what I've seen mostly rock or rap or techno. The music hall itself is kinda small, but it'll fit probably 100 or so people standing and packed in.

During my last visit to Lincoln several weeks ago I visited a number of the better places to get a good cocktail.  Without a doubt, the Bourbon Theater is the best place in Lincoln for truly distinctive cocktails.

Luke Edson was behind the bar and is the man behind the amazing selection and cocktails available at the Bourbon Theater.  My first cocktail that Luke prepared was a twist on a Rob Roy that was excellent, and better than the original, classic cocktail.
The second cocktail that I had was Luke's own Mont Blanc, a delicious cocktail with brandy, bianco vermouth, averna and maraschino liqueur.  Again, an amazing masterpiece and one of the best cocktails that I've ever had.  

As for the atmosphere, yes, it's lacking as a high end cocktail lounge.  I was there on a Wednesday night and the house music that was being mixed was entertaining, but not conducive to enjoying the masterpieces I was drinking.  It was interesting, but made conversation difficult.  I would truly like to see Luke in his own establishment.  But until that time, definately check out the Bourbon Theater for the best cocktails you'll find in Lincoln.
