Pies and Pints

Best pizza in Lincoln! They don't skimp on the toppings or the cheese. Great laid back atmosphere. Staff is friendly and helpful. I really wish they had an outdoor dining area. All they have is a few plastic tables out back for smokers.

Bar is not bad for a basement.  The menu is too small to attract a large crowd (only pizza available).  I have been here many times since they opened, the pizza used to be quite good, but has dropped in quality since opening.  The service has never been very good, even when not busy (which is most of the time).  Specialty drink is vapor shots, more gimmick than drink.  A lame attempt to get the college crowd to come in.

I've been to Pies and Pints about a dozen times. It seems to be a different experience every time. The service is inconsistent. This last time I went in, I sat at a table for 5 minutes and no one came to greet my group. We had to go to the bar to get drinks. The place was not even busy. When we ordered our drinks, the bartender didn't really know how to make the drink. Yikes!

I've had the pizza before and it is good. It is more of a thin crust pizza but not New York Style. The pizza has come out at varying speeds but it's generally on the slow side, even when it's not busy.The tables are a little small if you have a group of 4 and you split a pizza. The tables are really better for 2 people and food. If it is just 4 people drinking than it is fine. All the tables are high top. I think it might good if they added booths.

Drink selection is varied. They have about a dozen beers on tap but their bottled beer is a little slim. Don't expect to find too many import beers compared to other bars in the Haymarket.

They have 2 pool tables, foosball and Simpson's pinball (pretty fun) and duel dart boards. They also have skeeball.

I'd say that the place lacks memorable atmosphere. It definitely feels like a basement when you walk in. I think more lighting would help. This place is easy to miss. Hopefully they can attract more business with the renovations to downtown.
