I am SUPER jealous of ya'll in Lincoln. Â As a former volleyballer, I would LOOOOOVE to have a bar that featured a chance to play sports too. Â I imagine I could get fairly motivated to exorcize if beer was involved. Â This place is huge btw, the pictures don't do it justice. It looks like a warehouse!
My brother introduced me to this place and I've got to say, William, you know your bars. Â For whatever reason that day the pizza really appealed to me. Â It had pepperoni, jalapenos and cream cheese, pretty much a winner. Â I was surprised that even though it was a personal pan sized pizza I couldn't finish it, in fact I think two of the slices would have done me just fine. Â
I think everything on that menu looked great and I'd love to go back. Â Hopefully I can join someone's game volleyball and spend a day watching some Huskers on all those TV's.
We stopped at Spikes last week after a business meeting in Lincoln. They had Tallgrass Buffalo Sweat and the Goose Island Winter Ale ON DRAFT! I've been here lots of times before during volleyball leagues and the place is packed. Great food, excellent beer selection and friendly and efficient staff, plus 50 or so TV's for all the games. Their food is excellent too, not your typical bar fare. I highly recommend it to anyone in the Lincoln area or driving through. It's near the corner of 27th and Cornhusker, so pretty convenient to I-80.
