Ho man. Such a great local institution. In a basement with a solid dank factor. Cheap, well-made drinks with a slant toward classic cocktails (including Moscow Mules in copper mugs, like the good Lord intended). How do I convey the place's X factor, though? I just couldn't stop grinning like an idiot the whole time I was there. Way better than the "upscale" places in town. Dive bar prices with shabby-classy ambiance.
Review Source:Starlite is hands-down my favorite bar in Lincoln. Love the atmosphere and the friendly staff. Friday night happy hours are the best. Huge discounts on martinis and free appetizers! I can drink three martinis and stuff my tummy for around $11.00. You can't beat that! Try the French 75, Ruby Red, or Audrey Hepburn. Yum!
Review Source:The Starlite is a fun and retro bar. (Think '50's furniture and the Rat Pack) It's become a popular gathering place for my friends. The wait staff is down to earth and helpful if you have questions about drinks. They offer a full bar but they specialize in mixed drinks and hard liquor. They offer several brands of scotch as well.
Don't expect the drinks to come out instantly. When they are busy, they are BUSY. If you sit at the bar, you'll see how busy the bartenders are and you'll understand. With that, if you want to get your drinks quickly, try sitting at the bar.
They do have specials but not very often. They also have a trivia night which is very entertaining. You can order appetizers from the upstairs restaurant but don't expect to eat a meal. On the weekends, you can expect this place to be packed. The crowd can be very mixed, from college kids to retired couples.
