Love LOVE this pizza. I'm a bit of pizza snob growing up in NY/NJ , however, after moving here and finding this wonderful pizza place I must say I've not had pizza this good in a long time. My son has declared this the best pizza he's ever had and often rides his bike the few miles for lunch on the we eked just to get a slice.
Now, I've been told about 'Chicago' style pizza - and I've tried it - and will review that next (Gino's east) but this is the real deal.. just how pizza should be.
This place knows a real pizza begins with a great crust, a fold able slice with just the right amount of grease, sauce, and toppings. The slice is gigantic piece of perfection on a paper plate :) . I've ordered the veggie slice and the pepperoni. I've not been disappointed by either. I will continue to come back time and time again when the pizza urge hits. They offer specials on Monday and Tuesdays. The homemade Italian style Ice a hit with the Lemon being the family favorite.
I'd give this place 5 stars BUT my only complaint is the 'place' itself. For me this is really a 'take out' joint. The dining room was just 'eh' even though the service was good. I found the programming on the TV rather inappropriate for my younger children (once was some kind of teen mother program and another MTV type program) but I would still eat there if I was in need of that delicious slice and just ask the TV be changed if necessary - but this just isn't the 'dining' out kind of place - it's a grab and run home as fast as you can to get that wonderful slice of pizza into your mouth :)
Awful experience! I was calling for delivery and the rudest person waited on me. I think it was either the owner or his son? He rudely questioned everything I said. From the phone number I was calling from to how I was going to pay. After asking how I was going to pay (cash, check or credit card) I said credit card. He then asked "Are you sure you don't have $20 on you?". I just said credit card. If I had cash I would use it and why does it matter?? He tells me it will be within the hour. I live 2 miles from there. 5 min tops. I was only ordering a med pizza and breadsticks  But maybe it was very busy. So exactly one hour later a mildly warm pizza and breadsticks arrive. The driver has his girlfriend in the car and doesn't seem to care that we were bothered. No apology or response for the rude phone call.
The pizza didn't seem fresh, wasn't warm and had nothing special too it. Were not crazy pizza freaks but this was unacceptable.
If you hate dealing with people don't work in an industry where you have to work with them. I was only ordering a pizza. It's not that big of a deal but I will definatly never go back. I tried them after reading other yelp reviews. They obviously don't want new business so don't go there.
My husband and I LOVE this place! Â Once you try their pizza it will spoil you and you will never want to eat anyone else's pizza. Â We have been coming here over the past year and have had many of their pizza and pasta dishes. Â The quality of the ingredients is top-notch. Â I was beginning to think that it was impossible to get good quality mozzarella, basil, garlic, sausage, etc. Â Here it is!
We left the near west suburbs 6 years ago to move out to the country and the only thing we missed was the availability of really good Italian food with quality ingredients but alas, we found Michel Angelo's - Â and we finally found someone who knows how to cook pasta al dente! Â Most restaurants out here cook their past into mush. Â I highly recommend this wonderful little gem. Â You will feel like you stepped into a New York restaurant!
So good it should be illegal! Â Yum! Â My favorite pizza. Â Pizza crust was thin, crispy and perfectly done! Â The sauce, Â oh my word! Â I love this sauce! Â Homemade and it shows. Â Service was great. Â Wil definitely be back! Â Joel the new owner kept checking to make sure we were happy!
