We've gone here a few times with kids in tow, and the food definitely lacks in quality. The beer selection is really great and the servers  nice. The last time I went it was on a Tuesday, for their kids night. There was a magician there, with his son, who went from table to table making balloon animals, doing card tricks (I assume), but they never quite made it to our table. My daughter finally asked the son if he could make her a poodle and he obliged happily. She gave him a chocolate bunny (it was around easter) and his eyes lit up. Then he showed his dad, who looked scornful and I realized I should have brought cash for a real tip.
The kids burger tasted like a frozen pre formed patty from Costco or something. Â We brought it home in a box where it sat in the fridge for a week after several unsuccessful attempts to get them to eat it. And if my kid won't eat a cheeseburger, something must be REALLY wrong - she doesn't turn them down. Plus: Onion rings are good, though, and the bacon added to hubby's sandwich thick and delish. Parents: for the price, take the kiddos to Laurelwood or HUB where they use locally sourced (often organic) ingredients. Or Foster Burger. Â Or even Burgerville.
Apparently I'm not the only one who has given this place two stars.
Don't even bother trying to go in here to get a drink or food, the bartender or waitress will not acknowledge you. On top of that, the food is really pretty horrible. Typical bar food without any flair and it's just an uncomfortable seating area in general.
Too bad I live so close, otherwise I'd go often. But the closest things aren't always the best things.
