ATMOSPHERE: Â Almost nonexistent. Â The new owner did almost nothing to change the inside (or outside) of this restaurant from it's previous incarnation, Fiorentino's. Sparse and cheap, not to mention overly loud...and it wasn't even busy.
PROS: Â Very few. Â The burgers and fries my friends ordered looked nice and they said they tasted "ok", but weren't anything special. Â Our server was average.
CONS: Â Drinks were very weak and the bartender couldn't make a decent frozen margarita, we actually had to send it back because it had no flavor at all. Â My friend's chicken stromboli was dry and didn't have much inside it. I ordered a white pizza with tomatoes and it has absolutely NO flavor at all. Â Let me make this perfectly clear, this was, by far, the WORST pizza I have ever had! Â It didn't taste like anything...just terrible. Â Also, the pickle fries came right of a bag and weren't very good either. It also took a very long time for the food and drinks to come, even though there were only 2 tables with people at them. Â Everything about this place and meal smacks of trying to save money by cutting corners and not caring about much else, especially food quality. Â I eat out several times a week and know what to look for in a good restaurant...Mick's has no redeeming qualities at all. Â TERRIBLE.
WILL Â I GO BACK: Â Never again.
The only that held back four stars was the service. The service is always pleasant but it's very inconsistent and slow. The food is good, the deals are excellent and the value Mick's offers is top notch. I'll go back and try other items. Thus far, they've done a good job of making a great lunch for me.
Review Source:Mick's is a pretty cool neighborhood bar. Â Everyone there knew each other and were quite friendly. Â
For dinner I had the buffalo chicken salad - it had french fries in it - can you believe there is a salad that has french fries? Â Good food, I was an instant fan. Â
The service was good, bartenders were nice and easy on the eyes.
Here's the thing: Â we were in the mood for burgers and fatty stuff. Â After looking at the menu and pulling my purse strings, I got the tomato soup and half sand (turkey/gravy/white bread) for lunch. The boyfriend ordered the onion soup and hot wings. Â I kept thinking my meal was mildy elderly, but I didn't need to stuff myself silly! Â An added bonus was that my meal came with fries. Â Our server was REAL friendly,(at first) Â and progressively got more and more distant to the point that the other servers and bartender, and even maybe the owner was working our table. Â We think this person may have had an attention problem, The soup was excellent - both had the croutons under the layer of cheese (the menu should have talked this point up). Â Like I said, we were in the mood for fatty fat fat food, so we coulda used more cheese. Â I figured the dish washer complained that scrubbing bubbling cheese over the crock was not in his job description, so they held back in his/her honor. Â My open turkey was NOT super fresh, kinda dry, and the menu never said over white wonder bread. Â His wings were dry as a bone, and I think wings are supposed to be drippy, sloppy little bones to suckle on, so the boyf was sad. Â The "blue cheese" was a $1, but was mostly ranch dressing with a couple crumbles of blue cheese. Â It seems like all I talk about is cheese, huh? Â Here's the main reason for our worries: Â the fries were lukewarm, slightly damp, and flavorless, if but for tasting like old oil. Â For a place that wants to be a pub featuring fries all over thier menu, we truly think that they should be worthy. Â The end.
Review Source:What a place, used to be Florentinos, seems like this place definitely jumped up a couple levels under new ownership.
Great drink specials, also every night has a food special, for example Wednesdays get you tacos and nachos for cheap. Conveniently they offer strong Margaritas for $3 bucks.
Seems like the food is fresh, service was good....
Good place to eat in Lancaster!
I waited until eating here 4 times before leaving a review. Â Went 3 times with my wife and once with the family. Â This place has become one of our favorites when we are in the mood for wings, good sandwiches and a few beers. Â For a new place the service and food is really good. Â Always friendly and helpful. Â We have never had a problem but twice we were seated near someone who had an issue. Â Management (the owner, I believe) was right there making things things right and making sure the customers were happy. Â If you like good beer, they have a better-than-average selection and always ask what seasonals they have that aren't on the menu. Â We are big fans of Mick's. Â It's a vast improvement over the previous restaurant at that location.
Wheelchair access is pretty good and they have been great about letting us choose the table that would work best for us.
