A sports bar with healthy food options? Hell yeah!
The ability to watch 5 games at once from a single table? Double Hell yeah!
Here we go....yes I'm a hockey fan. Yes I'm a Rangers fan. Yes the shortened season has sent us into a deluge of hockey games pretty much every night of the week. So I am now becoming a connoisseur of Long Island sports bars to mix things up a bit. And I have to say, Millers impressed me. Their bar selection is good and the service was fast but the food choices made me happiest.
With so many hockey games being played, I'm doing my best to stay on my diet and NOT do the chicken wing thing or I'd grow big as a house by playoffs. So I was pleasantly surprised to find their menu containing many fish options and grilled varieties! I opted for the grilled mahi mahi over spinach with a side of broccoli. And it was really tasty. Can't get much healthier than that! Unless of course you eat air for dinner. And if my trainer is reading this...booosh! I stayed on track while out watching my favorite team play. How do you like me now?!?
I went last night with colleagues. The place was jammed due to Bike Night and being Friday, of course. We were able to squeeze up to the inside bar for a few pints. They were ice cold and served up quickly each time.
You know me, Fridays are my wing nights, so I was pleased to see they added "Jumbo Wings" to their menu. I ordered naked wings tossed in medium bbq sauce. After 10 minutes, our friendly bartender informed me that they battered the wings and was sorry, to which I promptly told him I didn't want them. He said no problem and they re-fired the order. I was surprised that a manager brought my corrected order within 5 minutes and an apology for the mistake. Very classy, Ale House. For that gesture, you will have my repeat business.
Oh, and the wings were worth the wait. Hot, crisp, moist and delicious blend of sauces! Outstanding.
My only complaint are beer prices. Seriously? $3.75 for a pint of Bud Light? Ridiculous! I can buy a sixer of Natty Light for those dollars.
Sport bars... There are a lot especially around Naples.... But I always have a good time at Millers Ale House... Drink specials are good an the food is not bad (quite a choke) I tend o enjoy my food quick and hot especially during football season, always delivered for me... Staff are friendlier than the usual cooperate chain, I guess a little more personable ... Hate the rehearse jargon they have to spill at you... Fun times, you can expect to see me there during sport season
Review Source:Came here last night with my family. They were very slow and service was still horrible! We ordered a bucket of beer and our server failed to tell us that our beer was not the discounted beer! Which was fine, but she took a good 15 minutes to even bring us out the beer and there was only one person at the bar! Our server was just extremely slow! We felt like we were wasting her time! Not sure why this place has been changing so much but the last few times this establishment has really upset me!!!
Review Source:Their chicken nachos are ok; they use to place more chicken & cheese but now half of the chips are plain. They don't have frozen drinks for kids, the best they can do is a virgin daiquiri or colada for $5 (not worth it). Their burgers are good, summer salad was good. Â Alcoholic drinks are decently priced for what u get. The price is decent.
Review Source:Miller's comes across as a generic bar and grill, which would generally suggest food deserving of a lower score. Â However, I was pleasantly surprised.
We started out with the smoked fish dip. Â This was very interesting -- it reminded me somewhat of a smoky tuna salad, but in a good way. Â It was rather amusingly served with twin packages of Saltine crackers to dip in it... not very classy presentation, but whatever. Â We all liked it.
My entree of seafood macaroni and cheese was pretty good. Â I was worried that the entire dish would be permeated with an overwhelmingly fishy flavor, but that was not the case. Â The cheese sauce was pretty tasty, and the shrimp and scallops seemed to be cooked fine.
My wife got fish tacos, which she really liked. Â It was Wednesday, and they had a lobster special that my father ordered. Â A whole stuffed lobster for under $15. Â You can't beat that.
For dessert, we split a slice of "Captain Jack's Buried Treasure." Â For $5 you get a pretty huge slice of ice cream cake complete with chocolate cookie and toffee crusts and caramel sauce. Â Freaking delicious. Â We later came back to order an entire cake to take home.
The place wasn't busy when we arrived for an early dinner, but it was pretty crowded (and there was a wait) when we left. Â Maybe it was Lobster Wednesday, but maybe the place just gets crowded all the time.
I really liked this place. Â For one reason price. Â I understand that this place is very busy "in season". Â I went in on a Wednesday and it was Lobster Day. Â For $15 you get a 1 1/2 pound lobster. Â God what a deal. Â How did it taste you might ask. Â I don't know they were out by the time we arrived. Â Oh well next time. Â I had the baked seafood platter. Â White fish, mussels, scallops. Â Not bad at all. Â I was told the average age is very old at this location. Â Well I am 62 and I was by far the oldest person I saw. Â I think it must be older when it is winter. Â For price this is a great place.
Review Source:Even though it was very busy and a sat night we were seated within 10 minutes. It was hard to choose what to order, there were so many good things on the menu. I was bad and had potato chip nachos.....yummy. Hubby had the osso bucco. Our bill was $ 27. omg  Service was perfect. The only thing that keeps them from getting a perfect score the sweet tea was yucky.
Go here for an inexpensive dinner. We will be back to try the other things.
Went on a Tuesday night for a late light dinner and some drinks. We sat outside where there were a ton of TVs playing local pro sports. The food was decent, ordered oysters and had mini burgers which were good for the price, girlfriend had fish tacos which were uneventful. I ended up drinking Sam's Seasonal. My only knock on this place is that for an "ale house" with nearly 20 taps, they really had nothing on tap. Don't fill your taps with every combination of Bud, Miller, Coors and their European counterparts Stella, Heini, etc. And don't tell me to ask about your local breweries and then proceed to tell me there are none when I do.
Overall I'd go back for the same purpose, bar food and drinks but don't expect a craft draught selection, there is none.
Plenty of drink specials large menu with big portions. Wings Cheese sticks and burgers are so so. Quesadilla and nachos are above avg.  Wednesday is 11 dollar lobster night. And they usually have bucket/ pitcher specials since most every table seems to have them.  Plenty of TVs. Bar service seems to be more attentive to the "regulars". One of the regulars even noticed me waiting and said that when he had a bar. They made it a priority to give special attention to the customers that are infrequent or new who could become a regular. As a country club trained bartender, we were trained in service with pride in our profession. Scanning the drinks for subtle requests like an empty near or on the rail,  a nod, a wink or even if a drink is off center on a coaster  and anticipating needs of our members. BTW no tipping at the club we were on a fair hourly rate. Not to mention benefits.
The Patio is open and spacious. They have pool tables and arcade games for kids and adults inside. Â When busy get ready to hear music mixed with names called out overhead while you eat drink and be merry.
Miller's is fun. It's designed well enough so that when it's packed, like on a big game day, it's still breathable and when it's mellow it does not feel empty.
The staff has been consistently decent and the beer list is substantial. For beer-drinkers in Naples, this is a magical place! The food is lackluster pub food but I am impressed and surprised that they have a Gluten-Free menu! For Naples, that's progressive thinking! This is not a place for vegetarians though or anyone who cares about the health of their arteries.
All in all, it's a standard pub/noisy sports bar. Two reasons to visit that make Miller's special: it's one of very few places with an awesome patio, and the beer list will be worth your taxi ride home later.
Casual drinking and dining here before or after the movies (same center) makes for a convenient choice. Large menu with typical burgers, sandwiches, salads, and comfort food. Good Chinese chicken salad and Mexican fare. This is the place for large food portions and big drinks. Items are ok. Service is gruff but efficient. Check  out the super cheap drink specials.
Review Source:I love it here! Â I've been to Naples, Fl two times now...and I've been to Miller's 4 times! Â It's got an outside bar (full bar) and an inside bar...there are PLENTY of tv's all over...and the food is great! Â Try the conch chowder...it's amazing. Â
The ONLY reason this isn't getting 5 stars is b/c some of the staff (none that I've had...but that I've interacted with) are kinda rude. Â Not enough to make me not return...but enough to take away a star. Â
I will DEF. be back!
This is just a great place to go and hang out with friends or family, especially if you are blacked out of your favorite sporting event on TV.
Miller's Ale House has wall-to-wall televisions and, if you tell them what game you want to watch, they'll seat you with a great view of the game. Â There are always drink specials, and meal specials as well, depending upon the day of the week.
On Sundays during NFL season, the staff wear football jerseys and the place has a nice buzz as displaced fans from around the country root for their team.
Let's not forget about the food. Â The Grouper sandwich is really nice. Â They do the burgers well here too.
All in all, as someone who spends about 3 months per year in Naples, I always look forward to dropping by Miller's.
Millers always has great food and huge portions at a low price. EAT HERE! Beer pitchers are cheap!!! Oysters on the half shell are a must, get extra horseradish and the regular hot sauce and you've got a good time. They also have Lobster on Wednesday for $13 or so, and it is really good, but get there before 7 pm or they might run out.
Review Source:Good place to hang with your friends on any random night of the week. Always a crowd which makes it appealing.
Food: Â okay at best...if you're looking for a deal, get the ginormous Chicken Nachos. The grilled shrimp Caesar is great. Next time Im gong to try the Bag o' Seafood for 14.99
Drinks: good prices
Crowd: Mixed variations. Makes it more interesting. Older crowd till about 9pm when its their bedtime, then the younger crowd flows in. Mostly casual dress, some overdressed.
Not somewhere I'd take a date, but maybe its different during the day.
It's one if the best places in Naples to get a meal where you don't feel like you're getting ripped off. The two dolphin (aka mahi mahi) dishes are always consistently good and fresh. The conch chowder is among the best I've had. And the chicken wings are great. It's a noisy crowded bar-type atmosphere, but great for kids...and they eat free on weekends when they show up in a team uniform.
Review Source:Come only if you like to drink cheap and dont care who sits next to you. Def bar, tvs, billiards, loud, good for kids if you dont care bout exposing them to drunks. Food is like my cooking: probably from frozen, jar or canned. Â Nothing creative here other than tattoos and big pot bellies. Outdoor and indoor seating, cheap prices, esp for beer but you will prob be paying more afterward in meds and doctor visits.
Review Source:OK Now after many months of the place it has definitely declined.
Staff is typically friendly, not always, but usually. However too many times we are left waiting, and sitting, and waiting forever. Whether it's on a greeting, a drink order, a refill or a check. I cannot STAND this. Especially when you see a hostess doing nothing or spy your server off chatting up some pals.
The food has been the consistent disappointment. The burgers and ribs used to taste juicy and fresh, now, (shaking head, making face) not so much. My last 2 or 3 burgers ( take out or eat in) have been hockey pucks with a wee little bit of cheese , and my ribs were gross. Husbands food is always bad, I feel awful for him, he has given up.
Anyway, it's now pretty average, typical bar food, and atmosphere. Although still very affordable.
I went here with the family while down in Naples. Based on the yelp reviews, I was expecting good drink specials + decent bar food. Â
Drinks
Yes, yes, yes. Â It is all good and as advertised. Â Each day has different specials it seems, every day you can do miller pitchers for 5 bux, and Saturday's you can do 5 bud lights for 10 bux. Â That being said, if the the notion of drinking a pitcher of MGD gives you the willies they do have a ton on tap, everything from Guinness to Stella Artois.
Atmosphere
Definitely lively. This place is big. It has two bars (one inside and the other outside) and they have some pool tables. Â Try not to sit near the front, you tend to get a ton of a noise as they announce who is being served next..
Food
Hit or miss. Â Maybe because it was because it was Saturday night? Â My ribs were pretty good, and I suspect if you go the bar food route, you won't be disappointed. My wife got the broiled Grouper, which was pretty tasteless and tasted fishy. , and my Dad got the "dolphin" dish which Tilapia with vegetables.. fish was cooked but veggies were not.
Service
Our waitress while pleasant, never came to really check on us and our food. Nor did she question why aside from the ribs we largely didn't eat. Â We had another server, who got us some drinks while we were waiting. She was fantastic, and went of her way to see what we even thought of the appetizer we ordered from her.
So, while I agree with everyone that it was affordable to eat at, our food wasn't great which spoiled our experience.
I went here with my girlfriends parents while vacationing in Naples. Â They live in Naples and were raving about this place. Â It was pretty good, my favorite part being the drink specials, which were unreal - $5 for a bucket of beers! Â It was a bit of an older crowd (read: over 80) Â I figure this was because it was ten $ prime rib night. Â After the old people got their fill of beef the place cleared out and a younger crowd came in. Â Definitely a great place to get some cheap eats with a friend or with a group. Â Service was great as well.
Review Source:Great affordable drinks, pool table was open and pretty cheap, and the wait staff was helpful and attentive.
Only weirdness was the atmosphere. It seemed to be the local teenager hangout even until midnight - 1:00 a.m. We also thought that many of the people drinking around us seemed suspiciously underaged. It was just strange to be in this cool bar with 18 year olds getting drunk.
