The Mitt

What a GREAT place!! They have come A LONG way since opening!! This was my 2nd time there and the food was AWESOME--AGAIN!! Staff was very nice and friendly. The atmosphere is calm and relaxing and so much fun stuff to do!! Karaoke on Tues. nights, Trivia  on Mon nights...just a great place to be with friends,  have a couple drinks, a couple laughs and good food!!

My mom and I went here for dinner last night. Not the type of restaurant I would normally choose to go to since I prefer ethnic fare, but she had a gift card, and I never turn down free food.  We were greeted and seated immediately , and found ourselves at a large comfortable table.  There was a man singing the the bar area, but we were not close enough to it that it bothered us.  Our server was a trainee who was very attentive and checked on us often.

 We chose to order a lg. Greek pizza and a caesar salad to split.  The salad was very good, and even had tomatoes and red onion in addition to the standard croutons and cheese.  The dressing was tasty, and came served on the side, which I appreciated.  The pizza was really good without being greasy, and was loaded with yummy toppings. We managed 2 pieces each and opted to take the rest home.  Those two food items and we each had an iced tea, only came to $28.  Not a bad deal!  I do have to admit that it probably would not be somewhere I would frequent because I really do prefer spicy ethnic foods such as Indian or Thai, but for American food, it is pretty tasty.

I brought my family here (party of six and all over 21) for our annual post Christmas family dinner. Very nicely decorated restaurant.
The food portions were plentiful and very good. Shrimp cocktail was super large, crunchy and everything shrimp should be.
Chicken parmesan was a super generous portion and excellent according to wife. Steak, ribs, lamb chops and pirogies  were also generous portions and awesome according to kids and son In law.
I myself had the perch and although the perch was very good and generous as well, the breading on most of it seemed like they were not fried long enough (kinda mushy).
The wine list was pretty good with great choices for most anyone visiting this place.
Although I didn't enjoy the breading on the perch so much it won't stop me from visiting the Mitt again.
