The club itself is decent, clean, small. It's not as big as it was when it was blue tattoo and bigger than when it was just the sports bar and grill. :sigh: we went last night thinking it was gonna be poppin, because Mario (r&b singer) was going to be there performing. WELL Fail! He was there, but did not sing and there was hardly anyone there. We waited all night to see him perform and nothing! I was pissed! The dress attire is basically whatever you woke up in. The 209 has definitely gone down hill. No class! Never going back.
Review Source:I've been to STUDIO 47 about a half dozen times to watch my son perform. Â From an older adults standpoint, I give it 5 stars for having great management and an assortment of appetizers served all night (what other night club provides food instead of just alcohol?). Â They also have reserved spaces for Taxi's in front of the club, that's a real plus!
I have never seen any fights there and I think it's a great venue for locals who want to come and support rap, and for new artists to get feedback for their original music.
I really like the set up, along the walls are contemporary half-circle booths with tables and flatscreens, and the dance floor has really cool strobes that make for great pictures.
Just want to mention, STUDIO 47 offer alot more than just rap music, different nights/different themes, and are always open to suggestions.  Check out their FB for more specifics.  <a href="/redir?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2Fstudio47nightclub&s=ab03bf4d637bd0e9cdc84dcd79a62ae06621cca5949418c93e0e6cdf132cd7fa" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">https://www.facebook.com…</a>   -Donna
This place is now called STUDIO 47. Studio 47 is super dope. I come here every weekend with all my friends. Bottle service is really nice. The waitress Jaime is super chill and always makes us feel like royalty. The bartenders know all there drinks and prices aren't bad at all.
Thursday's are college nights and Friday they usually have performers. If you want to have a good time come here. They also just remodeled, white booths and neon lights, new strobe lights were put in and the bar is moved to the wall. It's like a Vegas night club but in Modesto! Come see for yourself :)
Eh its alright if youre friends are with you drinking and having a good time. Otherwise just be prepared to face a sea of ghetto ass latinos being rowdy and all up in people's way. Can't come here without expecting a fight and you feel like you're about to get your teeth knocked in by guys who seem to be either extremely jealous or insecure. Just postulation though.
Overall, if youre just trying to spend a night at a club with the amigos, its an okay spot, but look elsewhere for quality clubbing.

Listen up parents, and listen good! Any establishment that has cages AND a bull to ride, is NOT KID FRIENDLY!!! I know it's a crazy thought, I mean the name of the place is Bar & Grill, but you know what it's definitely way more BAR and a lot less Grill.
I hadn't set foot in this place in years. I remember when it first opened, the concept was good. A nice big open place to have a few drinks and hang out with friends. Maybe even catch a game or two. Then, like most other Modesto bars/lounges this place became ghetto-fab. I mean like sacrifice your kid's grocery stipend so you can run on down to Forever 21 and get all 'fitted' for Saturday night ghetto fab. Gross. Yeah so what I'm a snob at times, I have every right to be.
I'm also a mother, and there are certain standards that I maintain. One of said standards would be keeping my offspring out of the bar. Why oh why would you bring say 4-6 kids to this place to watch football. I mean I get that your precious Dallas Cowboys game is NOT televised this week. I also am a fan of $5 pitchers of beer. However I know you see the say 20 drunk guys roaming around the place, and as the game progresses the place is getting a little busier. Did you honestly think that bringing the Nintendo DS and a toy gun would occupy all of your brats??! Or maybe you thought that pitcher of Pepsi would settle them down??!!?
Tacky. Gross. I could come up with more, but I'm sure you get the point. My fiance made some comment about how he can't stand when chicks try and look hard and sport over sized football jerseys. I had to remind him this is the same chick who brought her kids to the BAR!!!
This place is hands down, one of the most ghetto places in Modesto to party. It's located right next to a liquor store and a tattoo shop  where a ton of undesirables hang out on the street. Not only that, but the patrons are usually just as undesirable as the landscape. Plenty of fights, a couple shootings, and BAM.. you got Modesto Sports Bar.
I actually went on Sunday to watch a little week 1 Foosball, since my place didn't open til 5 and the place was a ghost town! Literally myself, friend, and two other guys at the bar and both bartenders neglected to refill our drinks but opted to sit outside with friends and smoke.
The reputation of this place along with the customer service makes me wonder why this place is still open.
So I've only been here once at night on a Saturday. Â This place is really loud and crowded, but if you're looking for a night club in Modesto that plays good hip hop, this would be it. Â One thing I did find annoying as a girl, guyz were alwayz trying to hit on and freakin you left and right, so watch out. Â I love dancing to good music, so that's why I gave this an A-OK!
