We just had a great meal from Moe's.  I keep forgetting they are there but when I get a meal, I always really enjoy it.  They pulled pork is moist and their sides are great.  I'm not a big coleslaw person but I really enjoyed how fresh and light and flavorful Moe's is.  Chocolate peanut butter pie - loved it!

I'm kind of a BBQ snob, so take this with a grain of salt (unless you're a bbq snob, too).

For the price, the food was not fantastic.  The portions were small, and the sides were limited (really?  no sweet potatoe ANYTHING??!!).  I know, I know...this is Colorado....but that's no excuse.  The place smelled amazing, and the chicken was good (just good).  But I'm comparing this to Yazoo's or Smokin' Yards, and it just doesn't make the cut.  Sorry....

Not very good. I don't know what that white stuff they put on the meat was, but I was shocked to see it. That's not BBQ to me. The only reason I ate it was because I was starving. Although not horrible, it was the worst BBQ I've ever had. I don't get why they throw coleslaw, pickles and that white sauce over BBQ. The service and the decor in this place are good, the food, not so much. Next time I eat BBQ, I will go somewhere more BBQ-ish like Famous Dave's, Brother's or Dickey's. People from Texas would laugh at this place.

Incredibly slow service. Go somewhere else if you're in a hurry. The cashiers are sleeping standing up. I'm not kidding.

Some of the better BBQ I have had in Colorado. Smelled fantastic when we walked in. Really good ribs. Turkey was a teeny bit dry. What...no home cooked peach cobbler? Fairly lame deserts. Errr...banana pudding.

I ordered baked beans for a party Saturday night.  I thought they were great -- not as good as Famous Dave's, but quite good.

Moe's is pretty killer 'que. Don't miss the chicken wings, collard greens and Alabama White Sauce. It's really nice to see these popping up all over the front range. Moe's is a great option for delicious, fast, and affordable BBQ.

This was my first and only visit to Moe's. Like all first time BBQ joint visits, I ordered a pulled pork sandwich, cole slaw, and sweet tea. I find this is a good comparison opportunity between BBQ joints. Unfortunately, the amount of pork was small compared to most every other place I've ever order said sandwich at. My sandwich wasn't very warm, and by the time I got home, which, is approximately 0.5 mile away, my sandwich was cold. I didn't get a lot of flavor from the pork which was disappointing. The cole slaw was very bland. Nothing special there. All in all, it was not a great first visit. Not certain if I'll return at this point.

I am a fan of Moe's.  Everything on their menu is good.  All of the BBQ is fantastic.  The fried catfish is amazing, and the variety and quality of their sides is unbeatable.

Besides just being plain GOOD, one of the best things about this Moe's location is consistency.  I've worked in the service industry, and getting food to come out the same every time is almost impossible.  I've never had a bad meal here; in fact I've never had an all right meal here.  It is good every time.  Second is the attention to detail.  Every part of their menu is well thought out, like the fact that they spend the time to grill up the sliced hotlinks, so many other places just slice the links and throw them on a bun.  Lastly, they are not afraid of spice.  Many restaurants of this type will make their dishes a bit milder appealing better to all folks, but I've got to love the heat they put in dishes like their jambalaya!!

The other thing I'd like to mention is the quality of service.  All the servers are friendly and personable.  Almost every time I eat at Moe's, one of the managers inquires about my meal.  There is something else here as well.  They want to make their customers happy!  If there is something you want, they will do their best to make that happen.  From smoked tofu, to a double decker brisket and hotlink sandwich (bama style), this place will satisfy.  I would recommend this place to anyone who is looking for great BBQ.

Moe's is awesome bbq in Lakewood!  We eat here at least once a month if not more.  They do a great job, and I love the beef brisket.  Never had a bad meal, service is quick, and they have some yummy beers on tap.  You will not be disappointed with Moe's!

Excellant meaty ribs, with good side for a fair price. Live far from location but will definitely go out of my way when at that end of town.

    Yes it's a Chain and I don't care!

Really great BBQ and you know it when you are overwhelmed by that awesome smokey aroma when just inside the door.

Further inside you will find plenty of tall windows and a couple plasma TV's set to whatever current sports event/ and or chat show is available.

I guess I'm a sucker for tender slow cooked Texas-style Beef Brisket and Moe's doesn't disappoint. I ordered the Beef Brisket Sandwich Combo this evening.
In less time than it took to snap and post up a few photos for this review with my trust Yelp Mobile app (see pics please?) the Sandwich arrived in its requisite plastic basket wrapped in paper and joined portion cups stuffed with very tasty Cole Slaw and Potato Salad.

Their BBQ sauce is basic- but good enough to add more than a little extra to whatever you have in front of you.

The patio does look West seeing another beautiful Colorado sunset today makes me think about venturing back over here in Summertime for a couple $1 PBR's (yes that's right Pabst Blue Ribbon Beer served for just a BUCK EVERYDAY!)

My wife and I go to Moe's almost every week.  I absolutely love their Ribs, Wings, Beef Brisket...  My wife loves the Catfish Sandwich and Pulled Pork.  The servers are great.  Even though you typically order at the counter, they will serve you at your seat or at the bar if you prefer.

Make sure you try the special sides...  The pork chli is wonderful.

Hands down THE BEST wings in Denver, not to mention finger-lickin good BBQ and killer music. Not a bad place to watch a game, if you don't mind no volume. Well worth the trip if you're not on the south side of town!

The smoked chicken sandwich was great. Service is of the fast food type and not very friendly. They do not provide a welcoming atmosphere.

The sides, while many to choose from, are small. Therefore, the price is a little high for the quantity you get.

There are a lot of of TVs to watch sports, the ambiance is good for a smoked meat joint.

Went on a Tuesday evening and it was wing night. I ordered the wing platter. I thought the wings were over cooked. I also love to dip and mix sauces and try every one, but sadly they had only 1 bbq sauce and a sauce that came with the platter. The sauce with the platter was really heavy. Although I will give them props for having the bbq sauce stored in a warm water bath - you can grab it yourself.

The mac and cheese was a disappointment. It was served in a small cup that makes it impossible to eat out of and if you dump it out, it is a clump (unappealing). My boys don't turn away food, but the mac and cheese went uneaten. I never turn down anything with cheese, but couldn't swallow the calories with a poor texture and no flavor.

The UP side... oh yeah - sweet potato tots! They were good. Who thought of this?? Genius. The sweet tea was perfectly sweetened - on the lighter side. So, if you like the "scrap your teeth to get the sugar off" kinda sweet tea - you may need to add some sweetness of your own.

Sofa King Good.  Pulled pork sandwich was great, came back later for the ribs.  Probably the best in town.  The mac n cheese was made with real cheese and the summer squash casserole was unbelievable.  Get a pudding for dessert if you can.   A dollar PBR to wash it all down.  Dollar ribs on Tuesday.  noice

Get thee to Moe's. Fabulous BBQ. Good portions. Friendly staff. Was driving by the new location and stopped for lunch there a couple of month's ago. I've been to the S. Broadway location near The Gothic in the past. Had the pulled pork to go. They threw in an extra cornbread and some really tasty pudding. Really good BBQ and Cornbread. Probably the best I've had in Denver as of late. Highly recommended.
