Great Genuine Irish bar. During a weekend visit to Lexington, My husband & I had the pleasure of spending some time at Molly Brooke's this past Saturday evening. Â Great service by the bartender and good craic with the regulars. Highly recommend Molly Brooke's to anyone looking for relaxing pint and good company.
Review Source:As far as Irish Pubs, this is the only one I would consider in Lexington. McCarthy's on the weekends is a joke (full of douches and underage ppl) and O'Neils and Shamrocks are not Irish besides their name. Molly Brookes has great draft beer selection (including my favorite, Smithicks) and the bartenders are good at their jobs. Sometimes they have an old Irishman playing guitar and it is awesome! I definitely recommend this spot for a number of reasons, including awesome location.
Review Source:Woohoo, another "Irish Pub."
I know one of the bartenders is Australian, another I've heard with an "Irish" accent one minute and speaking plain old Amurkin the next. Â I mean I don't expect everybody working at an Irish bar to actually be Irish, but no need to pretend.
Mostly though, Molly's tends to close the bar arbitrarily early and then gets rude when you're surprised 20 minutes before last call that you can't go back inside from the patio because "we're closing," Â and then an argument ensues because they still have your credit card at the bar.
The music is usually too loud and, as it's been said, the prices are high (by Lexington standards), the place is small and the set up is just plain awkward.
Stopped here for a quick drink on a Tuesday afternoon. Â Seemed like a standard Irish pub, though cleaner and a bit newer looking than most I've been to. Â Drink prices were a bit cheaper than I was expecting. Â Our bartender, Ashley, was super-friendly and gave us a great recommendation for lunch down the street. Â She also gave us a lot of great suggestions for dinner in the area. Â Would definitely come back here for the service, though not sure how crowded it gets at night and on busier days.
Review Source:A fairly young local pub, Molly  Brooke's has an strong Irish pub theme with Guiness draft and assorted Irish drink specials. Unfortunately, seating is inadequate and there is too much empty space between the bar and the single row of small high tables. It's an awkward set up. Drinks are grossly overpriced and nothing special, not to mention that the bar is always inaccessible. I'm not a fan.
