The appetizer rolls were under cooked (doughy inside). Â My girlfriend ordered a salad. Â It was supposed to have a raspberry vinaigrette dressing on it. Â It did not; we had to ask for it. Â I ordered a southwest burger. Â It was good, but did not have the jalapenos on it that were described (and pictured) in the menu. Â I was shorted $5 on my change on the $22.74 bill (I gave $40 and got back $12.26). Â I was intending to give a $6 tip, but instead gave nothing. Â Maybe they will figure out they shorted me and give it to the waitress. Â Or not, I couldn't care less - because overall they didn't seem to care that much about the details (be they large or small).
Review Source:I've read the rest of the reviews...this place is a classic American Steakhouse...rolls w/cinnamon butter w/big steaks etc. Outback/Roadhouse/Montana Mike's are all similar. Â
We had excellent service. Lemonade was always over half full & a new glass was on the table.
We did find a hair in the Nacho Appetizer & w/in 2 minutes the Manager was out & apologized.
Mike's has limited booth seating & we had to sit in a cheezy 70's McD's style seats but there's a pleasant atmosphere w/great, friendly staff.
Great location off of the Interstate...really, who wants to stop in Anderson?? Â Food is good & we had more than we could eat. Â I just wish this place had something else cuz its too similar to other Steak Shacks. Â Easilly a top Restaurant in Anderson w/GREAT location considering Interstate is 75 feet away.
I really like Montana Mike's. Â The only problem with this location is that it's kind of out of the way. Â Out of sight, out of mind. Â Since it's all the way out by the interstate, I hardly ever think to go there.
But I really do like the food and the atmosphere is good. Â My favorite dish is the country fried steak. Â Probably the best around. Â They have very good rice as well.
This is a fun place and I enjoy it, if only I could ever remember to go!
I have been to this location twice, on the way back from the Indy airport to Ft. Wayne. Â Â It resembles a Lone Star or Texas Roadhouse in both atmosphere and menu. Â However, I think it is a little less expensive. Â On this visit, I ordered the hamburger, french fries, and french onion soup. Â The burger had a nice, large beef patty and was very tasty. Â The french fries were a little wimpy, however. Â Others in my party had the ribs, which were fall-off-the-bone good, fried shrimp, New York strip and boneless chicken wings. Â All were very, very good. Â The lettuce wedge was HUGE. Â The service was good and Mike, the manager was very funny.
I would definately stop here instead of the Lone Star that is down the road. Â I just wish they had more tv's..........
