Texas Roadhouse is definitely one of, if not the best restaurant in Anderson. Â The food is delicious, the staff is attractive and friendly and the prices are very reasonable. Â The atmosphere is always lively and everyone is having a good time.
My favorite entree is the Hearty Cut sirloin steak with cajun seasoning added. Â All of their steaks are hand-cut in house and cooked very well.
This is the busiest restaurant in Anderson, so be prepared to wait a while if you go during busy hours.
I'll admit I didn't have high expectations going in here, since Anderson is sort of Podunk, USA.
However, service was good and the warm rolls and soft butter hit the spot. They served Diet Coke. The Dallas filet I ordered was perfectly cooked to medium and the sweet potato my sister ordered as her side was incredibly moist and tasty. (Yes, I always pick food off my sister's plate.)
On the negative side, I ordered a regular old baked potato and it was dry and overcooked. Also my caesar salad came out looking sort of odd and it took me a while to realize it was because they forgot to put any croutons on it. WTH? Fortunately, my nephew's girlfriend didn't want her house salad croutons so she gave them to me.
I'd give it a solid 3 1/2 stars because there aren't a lot of options in Anderson. I'd come back now that I know to order the sweet potato and the house salad.
