The stage mentioned in another review is now gone, and the bar is half the size it used to be. Â The owner of the building doubled Mike's rent on both rooms, so Mike closed down the side with the stage and walled it up. Â That was about two months ago and there's STILL nobody renting the half Mike gave up. Â The musicians of Reno/Sparks lost a decent venue, and the Asshat owner has lost sure revenue by being greedy.
Review Source:For a Reno Dive bar it will do..kinda out of the way in a seedy part of town - but that's OK, cause I am a seedy type of guy. Â Dropped in on a Saturday night to check things out - just can't get used to everyone smoking. Â It was karaoke night and there was one gal that just frigging rocked the house..then there was some pathetic dude that just plain embarrassed himself - not because he was bad, but because he thought he was good.
They pour really really short..I asked for a double Jameson and I swear it was a 3 second pour. Â The bartender told us a really neat food truck would be arriving shortly and they had really good food - they never showed up.
Bathrooms were large and clean which is always a plus..but they did not make up for the high priced short pours and no show of the food guy. Â We won't make it back.
