Great Taphouse setup here in Vista, right on Main Street USA as it were.
The open floor plan and casual enviornment make you wish this was a full service eatery as well, but do not fear, good eats are really just across the street.
The staff and the beers here are both accessible and top notch. Of course offering only Mother Earth brews here, you will not find your go to wimpy fizzy yellow beer...but Mother Earth does offer a great variety from Malty and Hoppy, to the Crisp and Refreshing. They also have a great selection bottles, growlers and take home items so you can continue the craft beer experience anywhere.
This place is fun and the beer is really good. The location is great, in old town Vista. I'm a big fan of supporting local business, and especially businesses in my hometown and I'm happy to say this is one of my local favorites. They only serve beer but Hennesey's is right next door if you want something harder, and the other local food shops will deliver food to the brew house if you are hungry, which I think is a very cool collaborative effort.
Review Source:Great place in a great location!
My second favorite brewery. I have also been a fan since they were in an industrial complex off Thibodo Road in Vista.
It does get a little packed on weekends and after 5:00 pm during the week. It can get a little warm on hot days and there are some fans on the ceiling but a couple more would come in handy. Wouldn't stop me from going there though.
The staff are friendly and helpful and the beer selection is great. My favorite ME beer is Kismet and I'm pretty stuck on it for now.
There are local eateries nearby you can go and order from or you can wait for them to come through to take your order.
Stop by, have a couple of good beers then go see a movie on Main Street just west of ME. There are also other places for food on Main Street if you don't find anything near ME you like.
Great place to hang out after work. Location is great, you can order pizza from Urbn across the street and have it delivered to you. It gets pretty packed after 5 pm, so get there early if you want a table outside on the patio.
IPA was great as was the Cream Soda brew, actually every beer I tried was pretty fantastic.
What can I say? Â It's hard to give a place that serves quality beer a bad rating. It's equally hard to to give Mother Earth Tap House anything less than 5 stars.
Mother Earth Tap House is one of those places that when you enter, you feel like you just walked into the right place. Â It's huge, it has an exclusive feel, it bustles with people in the later hours of the afternoon, serves fantastic beer and sells cool merchandise. Â They even sell ingredients and gear to brew your own.
The bar is huge, Â there are quite a few indoor and outdoor tables, and a giant, long bench inside as well. Â For the most part, plenty of seating, the place is essentially a warehouse converted into a bar. Â That may sound unappealing but I think it's pretty cool.
They have plenty of beers on tap (they seem to specialize in IPAs), a few different sized growlers, bottles of a few of their beers (The Big Mother IPA, Pin Up IPA, Cali Creamin'), they also sell men and women's T-shirts. Â I didn't catch the food menu but I saw some people running around with trays of what looked like pizzas (flatbread maybe?). Seeing the food did make me hungry though. Next time maybe.
UPDATE: Pizzas come from across the street at URBN.
The staff was just simply excellent. Â They were friendly and attentive, even when it was super busy they were always checking up on me to see if there was anything they could get for me.
I only sampled a couple of their selections (since I'm not too big on IPAs) but what I sampled was good.
Double Decker: Nice, dark beer with some hints of caramel/chocolate overall very good.
Cali Creamin: Â "5.2% Vanilla Cream Ale", Smooth, lighter colored beer with a nice hint of cream soda taste but just light enough to not be overpowering. Â Pretty easy and enjoyable to drink.
Sin-Tax: Â This is basically an 8.1% Imperial Stout with a decent hint of peanut butter. Â This one is by far my favorite. Â I took home a 2L growler of this bad boy.
Righteously Hopped Red: Â This one was pretty good, decent taste, but again, I'm not an IPA guy (yet).
Show up here early afternoon(before 4 or 5) if you are agoraphobic and want to avoid the crowds. After that it will get pretty busy but I didn't see any undesirables here just a shortage of tables and seats. Â Still, either way, you should have a good time.
Anyway, this place is outstanding as far as I'm concerned. Â I need to go back and try a couple more of their IPAs just to see if I can find a nice medium to change my opinions on IPAs(maybe make them part of my regulars?). Â I also need to go back to refill my growler with some Sin-Tax or whatever crazy good concoction they have at the moment.
"Love Your Mother"
Love the location, love the idea... just not in love with the execution. Â I've come to this tap house probably five times, and I can say in all honesty that I would go back... but the beer wouldn't be my primary motivation.
Of all the ME brews I've tried, the only one I've truly liked was the IRA (Irish Red Ale). Â Otherwise, I've yet to be blown away by ME beers. Â Really, my motivation for going to ME Tap House at this point, is getting to sit down and have a beer while ordering a pizza from URBN across the street. Â
The employees are moderately friendly, I'm sure they get some challenging customers, but I can't say I've ever felt much warmth directed my way when I encounter them. Â No problem here, just no bonus points for effort.
3* from me... and I'll certainly be back, but only as long as URBN remains across the street. Â If that ever changes, who knows if I'll visit. Â There are just too many breweries in the area that I really enjoy for me to go out of my way to visit ME.
Really, really want to give this place a higher rating. Â Great location, set up , and "food service" idea. Â Problem is that the beers have never been as good as they were when Â
we all used to pop into the old brewery location. Â It seems that the old standards are never on tap, and they are always trying to put out "artsy" type beers to drink here...not just me feeling this way. Â Will continue to try dropping in, but only on occasion.
I just moved back to Vista after a long time & am happy with the revitalization of Downtown Vista. It's super cute!
I was really excited to try the Mother Earth tap room because whenever I drove by it was always crowded & it looked like it would be a fun spot. I was hoping it would be my new spot! I had my sister & BF came over to check out downtown.
I went to Green Flash Brewery the week before for a happy hour & loved it. I had the same hope for Mother Earth & sadly I was disappointed. It came down to the beer. No bueno. Not good at all.
We ordered a flight to taste them all & didn't like any of them. They all had really strong after tastes- just not good. Flight wasn't too pricey ($10 for 6 tasters). Service was quick & bartenders were nice.
I do like the location- the whole tasting room vibe where you can bring in food & dogs but what's the point if the beer's not good??
I did like the vibe & location. I also saw people there with children & babies. (Because babies belong at bars) I don't think it's an appropriate place for children (and I have a teenager).
The highlight was the waitress from Sonic roller skating in & taking our order then delivering it. Amazing! I would only come back as a last resort to have a cheap place to drink if I absolutely needed to. Maybe that's why it's always so crowded?
This my friends, has been a long time coming. Â These guys have been open for a while now. Â Located on Main Street in Vista, right across the street from URBN Pizza. Â It seems that Vista has become one of the Microbrew Capitals of San Diego County what with Iron Fist, Prohibition, Back Street and now Mother Earth (Green Flash used to be in Vista too before they moved to San Marcos). Â If I have forgotten any other breweries...accept my apologies...LOL.
So...Mother Earth has quite a selection of beers on tap. Â They also have a selection of beers in bottle by the case (small case...like a 12 pack or something). Â Their bottled beer has names like Siren which is a blond ale, Kismet which is an IPA, Pin Up which is a pale ale, and Cali Creamin' which is a Vanilla Cream Ale (and my favorite). Â A couple of their beers on tap include rEvolution which is a chocolate amber ale which is awesome and then their IRA which is an Irish Red Ale and is likewise pretty awesome.
They have shirts and hoodies for sale too. Â If your into brewing...they also sell brew supplies. Â Anything from equipment to brew to actual grains (about 20 or 30 different grains), hops (again...multiple kinds), yeast as well as other ingredients like Irish Moss, etc. Â And they are very helpful when it comes to helping you gather whatever supplies you need. Â I also picked up a magazine there with a buttload of beer recipes. Â My first attempt at brewing was a Bass Ale Clone which turned out pretty good (fist attempt...next one will be better...LOL).
One detraction however is the fact that they do not have a kitchen for food (and I don't blame them...they brew beer...let the restaurants take care of the food part...LOL. Â They don't need to be putting up with the hassle that comes from the city when it comes to running a restaurant that serves alcohol). Â If you want to go to a brewery with food...try Prohibition or Stone. Â Now, all that being said...you can order food in whether it comes from URBN Pizza, Village Pub, or the little Mexican joint right next door.
The tasting room itself is pretty huge with plenty of room for socializing. Â Numerous tables and stools inside as well as the bar, and several tables and chairs outside to take in this great southern California weather. Â And whats really cool is they are animal (dog) friendly.
All in all...a pretty awesome place to grab a couple brews with some friends. Â While your at it...grab a growler to take home.
At Mother Earth they don't try to use crazy gimmicks, but rather stick to tried and true techniques that produce a quality brew. You can site down with your friends and relax or enjoy a great convo with any of the employees. Solid addition to downtown Vista.
- Very relaxing atmosphere
- Solid group of employees that aren't just cash register monkeys
- Inexpensive beer
- Kid/dog friendly
- Cool phone booth with menus to order food
- Plenty of room to sit
Mother Earth was spawn from a home brew shop to the amazing tap house it is today. You can try their unique brews and get advice on how to brew your own. No trade secrets here!
I would recommend the tap house for a good night our with friends or a refreshing drink after a long day. This place is dog and kid friendly, so you don't have to leave your beast at home.
Oops, can't believe I've forgotten to write a review til now. I've been a loyalist of Mother Earth since before they landed on Main St., Vista, back to when they were just a tiny little tap room off Sycamore. I love what Mother Earth is bringing to downtown Vista, they're definitely putting our little neck of the woods on the map!
It's pretty much always busy here. Service is friendly - Zac is especially helpful. My favorite beer is the Cali Creamin' - I feel like such a weenie but it's just soooooo good! Dessert in a pint glass, for sure.
They cross-promote with URBN Pizza across the street, so you can enjoy some pizza while you sip on a brew... perfect combo :) Mother Earth is quickly becoming the coolest spot in Vista, check them out!
I came here a few days after i went to the Bruery in Orange County. Â So I basically went from Filet Minion to Carne Asada...not bad, but i could have Carne Asada anytime a Mexican turns 4, gets baptized, or gets out of jail. Â Their taster did not offer their best tastes that day. Â On their list they have a creative batch of brews, so i do not know why they threw some basics on their tasters (IPAs and pale ales). Â The ABV% were pretty low, and the flavors in the beer often didn't seem to want to break out of their shells. Â Its a cute brewery, very friendly and very knowledgeable. Â Maybe next time Ill try more of their brews aside from what they had to give on the tasters (they did give you a lot of beer for i believe 10 bucks for a 6 beer carousel); or maybe they will have a better, stronger selection next winter.
Review Source:Bring your dogs!!! How fun is this place? The beer even tastes good! We had a tasting flight of about 6 beers and every one of them was damn good. Pale ale is definitely their thing, so I'm coming back when the sun's out and I can enjoy the weather sipping a nice extra pale ale on their patio with my dogs. They don't serve food, but there's plenty of options all around, and I hear you can bring the take out inside. I haven't been to the actual brewery, but that will be my next visit.
Review Source:I've never meant five stars as much as I do right now with Mother Earth. Seriously.
Kind, patient employees -- check. A gigantic selection of their brews always available -- check. STAINLESS STEEL GROWLERS of awesomeness -- check. Really cool clothing designs -- check. DOG FRIENDLY -- check. Clean bathrooms -- check.
DOWNTOWN VISTA'S ST. PATRICK'S DAY FESTIVITIES -- double true check.
Because my birthday falls around St. Patty's each year, you bet your ass I'll be here every year for this special occasion. Mother Earth is located in a newly rejuvenated downtown Vista, Specialty shops and a quaint little weekend farmers market complete the scene.
I didn't quite care for their special St. Patty's day brew, but everything else was absolutely delicious. Their double IPA packs a strong, sweet, hoppy punch too.
See you next year Mother Earth (or hopefully sooner to fill our growlers!!!)...
I feel like I dole out 5-Star reviews too easily, but I can't help it when it comes to something like Mother Earth Brew Co. Â These people are fantastic! Â I'm not saying that every beer they put out is awesome; I'm just saying that all the beers I've tried have been RIGHTEOUS.
I first discovered them at Urge Gastropub (with whom they seem to work closely) for SD Beer Week last year. Â They had a special, wet-hopped IPA that was derishus and perfectly paired with the bacon I had ordered. Â After such an experience, I moved them up the list of breweries to conquer and collect a glass from and headed over to Vista to check them out. Â I've probably been at least a half-dozen times since (and I can walk to Stone from home). Â Their beer and atmosphere are top-notch! Â They're dog-friendly, so at any given time there is any given number of hipsters with their dogs hanging out at the tap house - and even most of them have been friendly when I've dared to brave a conversation with one.
Let me tell you about what -actually- sold me here and elevated them to the top of my favorites list for local brewers: "Don't Make It Weird." Â I'm typically an IPA guy, maybe an IRA or a pale-ale; even a nut brown is good on occasion. Â They made a Peanut Butter Stout for Urge as a limited release, and it was easily the best beer I've ever had. Â I liked it so much I drank two while I was there (Brewery rule #1: Always try variety) and even came back the next day and bought a growler of it to pass around to my family. Â IF YOU SEE THIS ON TAP - BUY IT!!!!!! Â And, if anybody from Mother Earth reads this, P L E A S E put it out again?
Some of the best beer in San Diego. Which means some of the best beer anywhere.
Kismet IPA, Rysing Tide IPA, and Wins-Ten DIPA are fantastic. Rivaling what's coming out of Alpine (which in my opinion is the best brewery out there right now). Huge cool tap room with a brew supply store in one corner. No food, but URBN pizza is right across the street and they deliver. Â The mexican joint 3 doors down is supposed to be good also, but I always get the pizza cuz it's so damn good.. The only knock I have is the lack of seating- which is a drag most weekends when the place gets jammed. I wish this place was closer to my house (not their fault obviously) as I don't live anywhere near Vista, but it's well worth the drive.
Finally tried out Mother Earth a few weeks ago with my friends. The inside is industrial-ish, and is very open and roomy. Â There is also a small bar area with a few seats.
I tried their sampler of beers, and while I wasn't a fan of most of them, I absolutely loved the 24 Carat, a Belgian type beer. Â Not only did it taste amazing, but it has a serious punch. Â I had two pints and had to stop to still be able to legally drive. Â There is still more to try, so I will be trying them all.
You can bring your own food, which is great since there are a few options nearby. You can have URBN Pizza, Sonics/5 Guys (burgers) and others deliver food to your table. Â We opted for URBN pizza, since...well, when is pizza and beer not awesome?
Customers can even bring there leashed dogs too. That's pretty cool, just make sure your pup is well behaved. A drawback? They close early during the week, which is a bummer if you want a beer after 9pm during some weekdays. Â
A cool, unabashed local brewery that I hope is the beginning of a revitalized downtown Vista.
I've never been to the actual brewery as it has been closed for renovations (or at least the tasting room has) but fortunately they have a tap room at a different location. It's located in the brewery-heavy Vista, which offers some nice variety if you don't want to stick with Mother Earth exclusively. You may not want to though, depending on your beer tastes.
I personally tend toward well balanced beers. When you throw a double IPA at me I get more reluctant than excited because all I think of is how harsh the finish will be. Beers are supposed to be artfully crafted, so forgetting to balance the beer is a bit like building a 10,000 square foot mansion and not putting any windows in it. Impressive, but really? Â Mother Earth is better than most at this. There's still a little more lingering bitterness on their IPAs than I prefer but it's not the dirt hug for my tongue that I find with a lot of beers. My favorite brew was their Cali Creamin'. Despite it vaguely vulgar name the Vanilla Cream Ale has a delightful creamy finish as the name would imply. They typically have a nice selection of 10+ beers on tap and are good at rotating new beers in regularly so there should be something for every beer lover. Prices are fair and their flight samples are generous, which is where I would recommend starting.
There's no food service at the tap room but they're pretty liberal on their "bring your own" policy so don't hesitate to order a pizza or bring a snack. The tasting room itself is spacious and I've never seen it too incredibly crowded although I've never been there at typical peak weekend hours. This is definitely worth a stop on your personal San Diego brewery tour.
Best beer I ever tasted. Seriously. Mother Earth is amazing. My husband and I found them back when they were a tiny little tasting room in Shadowridge. We quickly became frequent attendees, and we were THRILLED when they opened up the new tap room so close to our house.
Everyone there is super friendly and fun, but really the beer speaks for itself. Primordial will blow your mind. Literally. They always have at least one great IPA on tap (my fave) and many others that are equally good. My latest favorite is the Don't Make it Weird peanut butter stout. Oh yes, I said peanut butter. SO GOOD.
If you haven't been to Mother Earth yet, you are seriously missing out and you need to go NOW.
Best beer in San Diego. Â Service is always great, and it's always nice and open. Â Always lotsa dogs for some reason... Â and they all seem to like being there. Â I guess I'm a dog, cause I like being there too.... Â and taking a growler home for later.
Btw, if you haven't tried the peanut butter imperial stout they've been serving lately... well try it! Â Super tasty and unlike anything I've ever had before.
1.5 stars is more accurate but in the spirit of promoting small business, I will round up.
I'm a fan of Mother Earth's beers and have enjoyed many pints at their Thibodo location. Â Tonight was my first night to the new(er) location in downtown Vista. Â I must congratulate Mother Earth on the expansion and give them credit for adding to the "quaintness" of Vista's Main Street. Â Mother Earth just looks cool from the outside and I like the atmosphere inside too. Â There is plenty of space to mingle or you can grab a seat at a hightop table or on an old church pew. Â The beer here is good and if you are hungry you can order food from Urbn, which just across the street.
I recently called ME to reserve a spot for the Valentine's beer and chocolate tasting. Â I had done this event before at ME and really enjoyed it so I thought it was time to do it again. Â Two of us were going to attend but we only wanted one tasting (I didn't want to drink 25 oz. of craft beer on a weeknight plus I was already half drunk off of Nyquil thanks to a pesky virus). Â Anyway, one tasting between the two of us was fine with ME and just the right portion for us given the high ABV beer and rich chocolate. Â A win-win right?
Well, unfortunately, as others have mentioned, service at ME can be an issue and  is where my four star review goes down to 1.5 stars.  On the second round of the tasting the bartender brought us two beers.  I explicitly said, "Ohh, we just get one, we're just doing one tasting" as I hold up our one pink card to indicate one tasting for the two of us.  She says, "Oh, well now you get two."  That was very nice of her, we thanked her and I sipped the beer.  Then she makes the same mistake on round 5 and has other people tell us that we need to pay her $3!  What???  I explicitly told her we only paid for one tasting, she could see we only have one card and now she wants me to pay $3 for a 5 oz. taster of beer.  (Do 5 oz. tasters normally cost $5 here?)  In all honesty, I didn't even want the beer given I was sick, drunk on Nyquil, already had some sips of beer and nibbles of chocolate and was ready to fall over.  This has really left a bad taste in my mouth.  Of course it isn't about the $3, its about the principle and bad customer service.  I'm really disappointed in ME because I wanted it to be a five-star review kind of night.  ME, you kind of broke my heart on Valentine's night.  :-(
This place was one of the best stops on our San Diego beer tasting weekend. Drove to the address on yelp in an industrial center, they've moved. Had to drive 10 minutes back into downtown Vista. Walked up to the place and were immediately impressed with the huge size of this tap house. Indoor seating is abundant. Nice patio to sit on if you want some fresh air.
Got the sampler tasters. We're IPA snobs and don't branch out that often. Pale ale, cream ale beer, and their dark ale were all great. Not good, great. Cream ale? Don't knock it until you try it. That beer could get you in serious trouble. Guy pouring continued to give us samplers until we had tasted the board. Both tap technicians were friendly and made the stop memorable. Bought a growler of locals first IPA so you know what that means, we have to go back and fill it up.
Am I the only person who doesn't like Mother Earth? Are we all talking about the same place here? I've been to my fair share of San Diego breweries and this one comes in last as far as beer and atmosphere. My boyfriend and I shared the sampler, as well as the End of the World IPL and two or three other pints. None of them were memorable! Nothing disgusting, but definitely nothing that wowed me. We were both really disappointed after hearing so many rave reviews about this place.
I also encourage Mother Earth to take on a "card at the door" policy. I think we got there around 8 PM on a Friday, and I saw two groups of obviously underaged people by the time we left around 10 PM. I understand that customers are carded at the bar before drinks are ordered, but I appreciate carding at the door as well. There is no food being served at Mother Earth, and therefore people under 21 have no business inside the establishment in my opinion.
This is my favorite local San Diego brewery. Â They have a superb selection. Â I have yet to try a beer here that I haven't thoroughly enjoyed. Â From honey ales to porters, they've got you covered.
One thing worth mentioning is that this place doesn't feel like an actual industrial "brewery" like the others do. Â It's not in a warehouse. Â It's in a little strip of downtown Vista. Â They've got tables and even a seating area in the back. Â And to top it all off, you can use the phone and order food to have it delivered directly to you at the Tap House. Â Can't beat that!
Great beer, great growlers, great overall experience. Â I love this place.
I knew this was a 5 star my first time in, but I went a few more times to make sure. Yeah, still 5 stars.
My most recent trip was with on Dec 22. We survived the end of the world and we wanted to celebrate! M.E. came through with an End of the World Brew aptly named End of the World India Pale Lager. It brought great flavors of an IPA to the less hoppy side of a lager and worked really well. They had the usual setup with 20ish housebrews on tap. No matter what your taste, Mother Earth has a beer that fits your palate. Hoppy, malty, strong, light, creamy...they have it all. Here's my "must do" list :
Cali Creamin' - A vanilla cream ale. Think adult cream soda. Freaking awesome
Pipe Dreams Porter - Well balanced malty goodness
Double Decker English Brown - Another malty delight. Smooooooth
IRA Irish Red - Aggressive red brew with some good hops
Pin-up Pale - On nitro! (at least right now)
The people are friendly, the service is a leetle slow, the facility is large but the best part is Urbn pizza across the street will deliver the pie to your table! (Go bacon and mashed potato with Cholula). They also are very dog friendly, so that's awesome.
5/5 Would drink until I get hammered!
Our 3rd stop of a brewery tour. Â Least favorite.
SERVICE: Â These people are NOT so great w/crowds.. or people. Â For a Saturday in December, you'd think a brewery would be well prepared for crowds. Â Especially when they knew we were at least coming through on a tour. Â Apparently, they were not aware though. Â When I called to ask who delivers pizza to them, they said they weren't aware of us and that we'd find difficulty getting to us b/c of a parade. Â Our tour people checked and they had been in touch with them, but were not notified of a parade. Â When we arrived, they were rude to us while our tour guide drove around finding parking. Â The service was super slow and unfriendly.
LOCATION/AMBIANCE: Â On a main street area with little parking ... then again, we were there the day of a parade!!! Â There was ONE women's restroom and it was a very long annoying line. Â There were a lot of people, not many of them happy and probably b/c of the slow service.
BEER: Â I couldn't tell you if ti was good or not. Â I was busy eating b/c I was starving and felt like I felt more time waiting for my beer than enjoying it (i.e., probably slammed it b/c i was just so annoyed!)
Bottom Line - I would not return here nor recommend it.
Grabbed a tasting sampler and headed out to the patio. After several minutes of trying several beers, we started discussing lunch. We settled on pizza and just then we saw a guy walking across the street with a large tray and set down a pizza on the table next to us. "Oh, just give us a call or swing by and order and we'll bring it to you here" the guy said. Wha-wha-whaaat??? Really?? I decided to walk over and check it out, and paid for my pie there and walked back. Few minutes later, a nice large pizza was delivered to our table, piping hot. With plates and napkins! There must be something in the beer that makes you want pizza because everyone was doing it, and it was awesome!
Ok ok on to the beer. Tried their End of the World IPL which was a bit hoppy but still excellent, Pipe Dreams Porter which was my favorite, Double Decker English Brown Ale, Pin Up Pale Ale, Auld Knocker IPA which was great, and their Irish Red Ale which I thought went particularly well with our pizza. Very friendly staff and will totally be back!!
First of all, this is the Mother Earth tasting room. Â Their other facility (the actually brewery) is not open to the public at this time. Â
Located in a very quaint area of Vista, the tap house has about 10-12 beers on tap for your enjoyment. Â Their flights are fairly priced and generous portions. Â We had their pre-selected flight, then ended up trying the other ones as well. Â On a Sunday afternoon, the place wasn't too busy, but it probably gets pretty packed on a weekend night.
They also had a gift shop off the side of the bar area, which we did not go into. Â In addition to a pretty decent size bar, they have long tables as well. Â They do not offer food, but we witnessed someone bringing in a huge pizza, so apparently there is no issue with bringing in food. Â They also appear to be dog friendly (or maybe this person was a friend of the bar?) Â I was greeted by a very friendly German Shepard.
As for the beers, I pretty much liked all of them. Â They have an original tasting beer, California Creamin' which is reminiscent of an orange creamsicle. Â We took home 2 of the pre-bottled versions, as well as a growler of the double decker.
Being an avid  connoisseur of good beer, I am very lucky to live in San Diego,  particularly in the North County San Diego where it  "Microbrew Heaven".
My buddy Nick introduced to Mother Earth and boost about this place to all friends. Why?
1) Great tasting beers, of course! ( I prefer this place than OAW)
2) I love the local atmosphere. Few tourist and dogs are allowed ?!
3) Beer Drinking Crowd == Friendly People. A matter of fact, I made some new friends the first time I went there.
4) There is NO food there, but some of the local restaurants will take your order and bring  to you. Or walk to one close by.
All in all, great positive experience.
"Live Life, Drink beer, Make new friends"
If your in the north county area of SD and you haven't been here yet, your missing out.
Mother Earth has some delicious beers on tap and very good prices. Â $6 for a 6 beer sampler (pretty good size too, probably around 3-4oz each). Â Their pints are huge.
They don't do food, but they do allow you to bring stuff in and URBN across the street will deliver to your table.
Oh Mother Earth!
I love how open and big and just the atomsphere here!
Beers are kinda a hit or miss for me though, sometimes they are really good and others I would have preffered something else.
I love that you can call in an order from URBN pizza across the street and they deliver it to you at Mother Earth.. swee deal, and their pizza is super!
I went to Mother Earth on Saturday afternoon. I had never been there before. It was a really fun experience. They have tv's so we were able to watch the football games. They have tons of seating. It was nice you can sit at the bar or they have tables and chairs inside and outside as well as benches you can sit on that surround wooden barrels if you want to stand up.
The really cool part was that we ordered pizza from Cold Fired Pizza which is a pizza join right across the street. We called in our order and they delivered it to us at Mother earth. I thought that was neat and the pizza was really good.
I tried there sample beers, you get a ring of either 5 or 6 different draft beers to figure out what you like. I think my favorite ended up being Double Decker.
Overall it was a fun crowd, lots of seating, good location. There's lots of little shops down the street. Fun night. Id definitely go back again.
Very nice location in Vista. It's been there about 3 weeks according to the staff, but you really couldn't tell based on how well things are run. Pretty big crowd and lots of room so that was nice to see.
We came in and noticed a very long wrap around bar with quite a few servers. We made our way up to the bar and decided to start with tasters. At $1.50 each, its' an amazing deal. The beer is slightly warmer than I like, but I'm sure they can work on that.
Up first was the Ryzen Weizen. Very nice Hefeweizen. Smooth and great for a hot day in a place with no a/c. Â Didn't take us long to down this one.
Next up was the French Connection. Tasty Belgian Blonde. It was well balanced with a nice hop finish. Not overly hoppy by any means, but just right.
Last up was the Dubious, Imperial Red. Great beer. Â Smooth, caramel, flavor with nice malty finish. I think it was my favorite of the night.
We would loved to have tried more beer, there were only 4 on tap. The website was up to date with that, so check it out before visiting. There were no stouts or porters on tap either. If they had more beers on tap or a dark beer, I would give them the full 5 stars.
Note: If you're hungry there is a Hennessey's Tavern, a Mexican Restaurant and Urbn Pizza all just a short step or two away.
For tasty beer at a great price, nice location and good crowd, this is the place.
