This is a great little dive cafe on the NE side.  The location/building is a bit strange, but it adds to its character and the food is on point.

    Pros:
    -  Food is fresh and healthy
    -  The menu has some good variety
    -  Service is fast - not "fast-food" fast but good for a quick lunch
    -  Dressings and marinades are AWESOME
    -  Owners are friendly and super nice

    Cons
    -  Portions are small for the price
    -  Not a ton of space inside for dining
    -  No website menu (at least I couldn't find anything)

I would recommend definitely checking this place out if you're in the area and need a quick and different lunch option.

Movable Feast is the best lunch restaurant in the area. The building itself is about as small as a cafe could be, but this fact seems to add to its charm more than anything. The owners and sole employees, Peter and Kathleen, are sweet and always interested in bettering the local neighborhood.

Moreover, they REALLY know how to cook. It's hard to go wrong with their menu, but those in the know always order one of the three daily specials. Ingredients are fresh and the meals are flavorful. The catering service is pretty popular - the Spanakopita is especially delicious. Basically, the food at this place is simple but very good.

If you're in the neighborhood for a weekday lunch, Movable Feast is your restaurant.

I really like this place! The food is very fresh and always tastes good. I wish they had a different set-up for their drinks and the portion sizes could be a bit bigger for the sandwiches (for the price) but all in all it's an excellent place for lunch. I've liked everything I've had there except the chili. The beans were a bit hard and it really lacked flavor and spice. Some hot sauce would've helped but there were no bottles on the tables.

I was not impressed and I so wanted to be. Upon arrival the first thing I noticed was the ordor. It reminded me of bug spray, that was a turn off, but I kept on going. The place is not big, but it is charming in it's on right. You order at the counter and they call your name whenyour food is ready. My friend who came in after me picked up my food when her order was up. The lady was a bit snippy and told her "I called you friends name, but she was talking, here is her food" I felt  what she said was fine, but the way she said it was rude. I had the grilled chicken salad and an ice tea.
The chicken was dry and had no seasoning at all. The iceberg lettuce was fresh but short on the serving if you ask me. The ice tea tasted like it had been sitting out for a few days. I also had some black bean soup, it was good but nothing special. On a good note parking was easy! If I go back it will be to try a sandwich, hopefully that will add some stars to this review.

Needed a centrally located place to meet for lunch!  Plus - the food is tasty and well-prepared!  Sometimes your body can overdose on the bugers and other fast-food type experiences.  This was a great detox from the usual.  I ordered the cajun ham and bean soup (5 stars) - it was very spicy and I would come back just for the soup.  I kept with the Cajun theme and ordered a Cajun spicy chicken sandwich.  It was really good with bell peppers and a spicy sauce.  What was really neat is that the owner greated everyone (with the exception of me and my dining partner obviously) by first name!  They definitely have their regulars! Minus - it was perfect for two.  But, the entire place seats maybe 12 so if you are claustrophic take your food to go!  I think the size just adds to its charm!

My sandwich was quite good and the cole slaw (which is sort of a test for any sandwich place) was also very nice. Portion size was ok and overall the meal was a good value. Their product is very fresh and I suspect a lot of local return customers. The location is not in a high traffic area and there is little or no foot traffic - so to get here you have to drive.

They're only open for lunch Monday through Friday, and they have a simple menu of soups, sandwiches and salads, but the food is well prepared, the service is friendly, and the tiny restaurant is kind of charming.

It's been a year since last review.  They are still great.

This kitchen creates sandwiches and soups to die for. The staff, all of 2, make wonderful creations with fresh ingredients, and their love for making the best product.

Eat in and enjoy or take away.

    You'll enjoy, I promise.

Summer gazpacho is one of my favorites

Ahhh, Movable Feast. Happy haven for busy businessmen and women who are sick of McDonald's.

The building itself, which was formerly a hot dog stand, is tiny by U.S. standards, but it never feels that way to me unless it's really, really crowded--which I'll admit is a good possibility at the lunch rush. This place is a Binford Boulevard staple. Anyway, if the relatively cramped quarters wig you out, or if you're short on time, you can always call in advance for carry out. Myself, I appreciate the cheerful cacophony of the decor, with local art (for sale, at that!) hanging on the walls and copies of the original "Movable Feast" laying around for your perusal.

Founders and current owners Peter and Kathleen serve a variety of sandwiches, wraps, soups, and salads: good, cheap, hearty lunch fare. I've enjoyed anything I've ever had here, but I especially recommend the pasta salad or the turkey wrap. Any meal will come with your choice of side. The selection, if I'm not mistaken, can vary from time to time, but there's usually cottage cheese, pretzels, fruit salad or chips to choose from.

As one might guess from the name, Movable Feast also caters. I've never hosted a function that required catering, but I feel confident that any of Movable Feast's offerings would be worthy of your guests. Try them next time you have a party and get back to us!
