Nakama Sushi House

The food was tasty of what they had... but the fish I wanted they where out of both of them. Service was friendly. Sushi was good, better if they had the fish in stock.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would, because my experience here was HORRIBLE.

I came here with one of my friends, for a nice night out to enjoy Japanese food because we are both fans.

The service here was absolutely horrible. The waitress was nice, but she did not keep us informed. The wait here for our food was OVER AN HOUR. That is ridiculous. Either they were understaffed, or horrible time managers. Either way, that was pathetic.

You'd think that with a wait time that long the food would be amazing right? Wrong. I ordered the shrimp tempura rice bowl, and vom. That was so bland, lacking of flavor and greasy. Never again. The only upside was the large portion size and the ceramic bowl it was served in. Too bad it didn't taste good so I couldn't finish it. My friend ordered a curry bowl and hated it too. It looked gross, so I didn't even try it.

Most of the dishes are around $10 which would have been fine if the food was actually good.

Immediately after eating, both of us got sick, and had food poisoning the next day. I do not have a sensitive stomach, so I was astonished this happened.

I usually love trying new places, especially small businesses but I would not recommend this restaurant until it figures out the necessary steps for becoming a better restaurant focused on quality food and improved service.

avg place in town, nothing too special. Good service, food can take a while even if its not busy, but they do cook everything fresh which I like. The sushi is pretty straight forward and nothing to fancy.
