Nichi's Restaurant

I'm new to Wynantskill and thrilled to find an awesome place so close to home.  This was my second visit in 2 months. Friendly and professional service from the minute I walked in the door. It's lively but not noisy. The menu has a great selection of everything without being overwhelming (not a fan of over large menu). Tonight I had the Chicken and Shrimp Nichi - amazing! Creamy tomato sauce with tons of chicken, mushrooms, proscuitto, mozz cheese and 3 giant shrimp... pasta al dente, shrimp succulent and chicken tender. (last time i had the shrimp and scallop fra diavlo - also excellent). Thanks to Mark and Marissa for a really nice visit. I'll definitely be recommending Nichi's.

Bravo! I had such a great time at Nichi's!  The fra diavolo that I had was spectaculare.  John and Tina know how to take care of a party. Dont sell yourself short......get there.

Went here for my sister-in laws birthday. We had reservations for 6:30 but we really didn't need them as the restaurant wasn't busy at all. Getting back to the restaurant, it is really nice inside everything is new and clean. I started off with a glass of Italian wine it was a Chianti, very nice wine nice-after tones not too dry and not too fruity at all. I put in a appetizer of their eggplant rontelli, it came out and it looked really good. I am extremely picky when it comes to eggplant so I rarely order it when I go out, the eggplant here was delicious ,great filling with melted mozz cheese on top...it was really yummy, would definitely order it again. For my entree I ordered parmesan crusted chicken and it came with baked potato with green beans. The chicken itself was quite rich but it was really tasty, it is a dish that leaves your tummy filling full and satisfied. My wife ordered shrimp alfredo with broccoli in it. Her dish was extremely rich and heavy but really good and fulling, there was no way you could finish this dish at one sitting. You are going to have leftovers because the potions here are HUGE. I wanted to try dessert but I was full, but seeing though it was my sister- in laws birthday the waiter came out with a piece of chocolate cake which I sample and it was really moist it hit the spot. Over all a very pleasant experience at Nichi's, I would definitely go back if I am in the area.
