Love the 99. Almost always get the steak tips. They are out of this world.
Have not had a bad experience at the Manchester location. The staff is always attentive, quick and friendly. Food has always come out hot (which is good for a chain) So no complaints here.
The family always has a good time and leaves full with a bill that is not insanely high.
We waited forever to be greeted at our table. By the time the server, Courtney, did come over we were all ready to order and she seemed somewhat annoyed by this. The restaurant had a good amount of people in it but was not overly busy. When our food did come up in the window it sat for a few minutes (we were seated where we could see) before another server, Kristen, brought it out to us. Our server came by to see if everything was alright, which it was, twice during the meal. I noticed that other servers were running food to her other tables, around me, as well. We finished our meals and then waited for about ten minutes, with our plates stacked on the edge of the table for her to ask us if we wanted the check. She ran my card and brought it back pretty quickly. I usually enjoy the 99 but probably will not be returning to this location.
Review Source:Not too bad for a chain restaurant. One here in Manchester had a very friendly staff. I ordered the turkey burger because I happened to be on a health kick while I was here. The guacamole on the turkey burger was delicious. The fries tasted a little rubbery, but helped me stay on my healthy eating.
Review Source:Used to come here all the time with my grandmother and it was always quite nice. Ate here a few months ago and got sick for three days and I KNOW it was from this place. I had a good time for a while but a restaurant that makes me ill cannot be recommended. Try the one in Hooksett instead.
Review Source:What can I say? Â It's the 99. Â It's really good for what it is. Â You can get a decent burger and a beer here, and the other menu items are good, too. Â I like the turkey ciabatta sandwich that is on the lunch menu. Â Not the world's best beer selection, but you can get Sam Adams, the current Sam seasonal, a Shipyard selection (right now it's Applehead), and a few imports such as Guinness and Bass. Â They have the usual Bud/Coors/Miller stuff, too, for those who like it.
This location is fine; it is clean and the service is good. Â It's a decent place to go if you want to sit at the bar and watch whatever games are on TV. Â It's the 99, not the Hanover Chop House, for crying out loud!
Friendliest barmaids anywhere and the steak and shrimp combo for $15 is awesome. Â Ate at he bar watching the XGames tonight.
I've been going to 99 for many years and get surprised at those who won't go. Â Menus change with the times and the 99 is a leader. Â There is a 99 closer to home but I like the huge one by the Mall of NH, next to Famous Dave's.
Yeaa...... this place is really not all that. The food was sub-standard, even for a chain. Crab cakes were stale... to an extreme. Don't bother with the fish tacos. Maybe it was my fault for ordering seafood there? HAHAHA well... either way, if it's on the menu it shouldn't be shoddy. Waitress was decent though. Probably the only plus.
Review Source:3 stars for a franchise would be too much. Â Maybe I just come on their better days, but the staff is usually on-target and very flexible. Â
The food is standard chain food. Â Don't expect a culinary adventure. Â And they actually GOT RID of my coconut shrimp!! :( Â
Not much for the wine list. Â Ho Hum.
99 OWNERS -
PLEASE INVEST IN SOME SAUV BLANC OR RIESLING!! Â CHARDONNAY IS TOO OAKY FOR YOUR MENU! Â YOUR MENU IS GREASY ENOUGH YOU CAN GET AWAY WITH SUBTLY SWEET OR CITRUS-NOTED WHITE WINES!!
WHITE ZIN DOES NOT COUNT AS WINE!
And I haven't dared to get a cocktail in fear of being ripped off with a weaker-than-water vodka tonic. Â
I'm not *obnoxious enough* to really complain about it, and I'll get stuck paying for it anyway... so I stick grudgingly w/the Kendall Jackson Chardonnay or BEER and belly bubbles the rest of the day.
Advice: get soda or water just to be safe and definitely get your money's worth ;) Â
OK enough about booze...
The place is always clean, sometimes there is a wait but the staff is gracious enough that you don't feel like "a number." Â
Good for a chain, but definitely not my first pick in the whole city.
