Niu Japanese Fusion Lounge

Niu is some of the best sushi I have ever had! My sister and I are real maki connoisseurs, so we were excited to try somewhere new and I have to say that this was some great Maki.  The roles are huge and definitely a good value for downtown dining.  The host, server and all the employees are genuinely nice and friendly, which is great! (I consider it a success when a server at a downtown restaurant doesn't act like you are inconveniencing them by dining at their restaurant, so this was so refreshing!). The atmosphere is great, and its a good option to take family or a date or to go out with friends. I can't speak to the alcoholic beverages, I didn't get one while there, but I will definitely try one next time. Overall I would recommend!

This was my second visit here and the Sushi was excellent. I would say it was some of the best I have ever had. Based on the food alone I would give this restaurant 5 stars but I cannot. All of the tables have large chairs that cause you to be pinned to your table if the the restaurant is full. I also ordered 2 cocktails, both of which were overly sweet and incredibly watered and the lighting was so dark I had to pull out my phone to use as a flashlight in order to see the menu.

Their sushi rolls are fantastic-both the presentation and the taste! My favourite is the raw salmon with cucumber, and the philadelphia rolls. The fish is always very fresh, and the prices are reasonable.
