Weekend brunch is always something everyone looks forward to.
I've been to the Yolk in the South Loop once and a few times to this one, in Streeterville; I prefer the latter - it's got more light and has a better ambience.
Yes, it's always better to go in early or closer to closing time, just so that you'll be seated quickly; though every time I've been here, I haven't had to wait more than 15 minutes.
Freshly squeezed juices are fantastic at Yolk - Strawberry Orange juice is a favorite.
I've had and really likes the Strawberry-Chocolate Cakes, Fruit and Nut Pancakes, West Coast Crepes, Stuffed French Toast and Tropical Walnut Chicken Salad. Make sure you try the seasonal specials, if you're in the mood for it.
The staff is friendly and easy with recommendations. They give you enough space while you enjoy your meal.
The food here is amazing and very reasonably priced. The Metropols coffee is excellent as well and they will give you a complimentary cup to go when you're done. The portions are generous, there was no way I could eat an entire omelette as well as pancakes. Get there before 9 AM on Sunday to avoid the crowd.
