My boyfriend took me to brunch here on Sunday and we liked it a lot. We got there about 2pm and it wasn't crowded. The first thing that caught my eye on the menu was the Pulled Pork Eggs Benny with chipotle sauce and red pepper/tomato marmalade. It did not disappoint and was delicious. But when I go back I will probably not get it again because this brunch menu had too many other interesting things on it. And I normally don't really like breakfast food. My honey had the Chi-Town Skillet and couldn't finish it; it's bigger than it appears. He said he enjoyed it very much. The potatoes were just right too.
Our server was slightly absent-minded and forgot to bring our champagne (which was filled to the tippy-top for $4) and refill coffees, but was very nice and enthusiastic. We weren't bothered though.
We will be back for sure to try all the other items on the menu; this isn't your regular boring waffle and pancake place, and I'm excited to visit again!
Went Saturday morning for brunch. No wait time since we went to the bar. Extremely friendly staff and a great ambiance!
Coffee was very good and had that with a breakfast burrito which was one of the best breakfast burritos I've ever had. Yummy melted cheese with sausage and scrambled eggs!! Very delicious!
Overall a great place for Saturday brunch and the menu is very reasonably priced!
What a day. Â We had matinee tickets to go to see the Book of Mormon in the theater district in Chicago. Â Our whole family went - we met Sarah at the restaurant and drove into the City.
The reviews for Brunch out here on Yelp have been mixed. Â Some people cited problems with long waits, and value. Â I have to say that our experience was pleasant. Â We were seated in about 10 minute. For 11:30 AM on a Sunday morning, I thought this was quite fast.
The food is pretty standard breakfast fare, albeit with a little more flair. Â I'm boring when it comes to brunch. Â I had a vegetable omelet with potatoes. Â The food arrived hot, but the wait was a bit long. Â
If I had to hold something against them it would be service. Â While the server was pleasant and friendly, she was slow and was hard to find when needed. Â Pricing I would say is moderate: $9 for an omelette in River North is about right.
It was an experience. Â The play was great. Â I'm glad there are plenty of restaurants in Chicago. Â I'll never tire of finding new places to go.
