Nonna's Italian Kitchen

A little Mom and Pops place good food fun staff great prices with comfort food.  You can't go in to Nonna's and not get a smile.  Not high not the best but good food with a nice room.  Its just around the corner and always welcoming,

We had several recommendations for this restaurant, but after tonight I will not be recommending it. The best thing I can say is, thank God Coney Island is in the same complex!

Nonna's is an overcrowded restaurant with inattentive waitstaff. On top of that the food is nearly in-edible.

We tried the calamari, and I could barely chew through the rubber texture severed with a sauce that was bland.

The dressing on the caesar salad was awful, and it tasted like it was directly from a bottle.

I ended up only taking one bite of my pollo rosa maria because it was covered in juices from the vegetables; it looked and tasted revolting.

Save your time and money, go to coney island. You can thank me later.

I was on a quest to find good italian take out near my home. I checked yelp and noticed this place had pretty good reviews. My experience wasn't a good one at all!

Nonna's is a little resturant in the strip mall, walk inside and there are a few tables, nothing fancy, city coney island style. I was fine with that. I've been to some hole's for resturants and the food turned out wonderful.

Moving on! There were about 4 waitresses standing around by the register gabbing amongst themselfs, with one customer off to the side talking to who I believe was the owner. No one asked if they could help me, just stared at me with deer in the headlights look. I asked if i could make a carry out order, in a condensending tone, one of the girls said "what do ya wanna order?". I ordered a stuffed shells dinner with a sliver of lemon cake for dessert to go. When my meal was ready, again totally ignoring me, not busy at all waitstaff, took my credit card and I paid for my $20 dollar dinner!!!! Yep, $20 bucks!!! Well get to the meal in a minute.

As I was walking out with my order in tow, infront of me, the owner walked out with the customer that was waiting off to the side earlier, talking about personal things laughing and carrying on. Totally disreagarded me walking through the door, no smile no nothing!

When I got home, my tasteless thin stuffed watery sauced shells were the worse I've ever tasted. My homemade recipie is better, and Im not one to cook! The lemon cake was dry and had flour still on it, just as dull as the stuffed shells! I wont even comment about the side salad! Took one look and threw it in the garbage! $20 bucks for one carry out dinner and I threw it away! Never will I ever go to this resturant again!
