Checking this  place  out  ...kinda  of  a Pantry  type  menu   so far  so good .

Went on Friday 2-15-13, and  the menu mirrored  The Pantry at 15 & Van Dyke or the Original Pancake House.

We ordered & shared the Ham & Swiss omelet   , which was perfectly prepared with a slight  crust on the edges & plenty of ham & swiss.

We also ordered & shared the  Banana Split Waffles...LOVE the thick genuine whip cream,

Went here with the wife after Sunday Mass. What an awesome menu full of things like Belgian waffles, omelettes, specialty pancakes, crepes, all-American breakfasts and a few lunch options (like a Reuben or burger). For a tad extra you can get Canadian bacon, which is pretty awesome. The banana split on the menu looks heavenly and unlike any banana split you've seen before.

I enjoy a nice corned beef hash meal with 2 basted eggs atop it. Ringing in under $10 and coming with 3 excellent pancakes - it was a huge meal for the price. The corned beef has itself at a little but like mashed potatoes. It left me wishing the beef pieces were more pronounced, rather than minced into tiny pieces in the hash. Nevertheless, it tasted great with some ketchup and hot sauce.

The pancakes here are sweet like cake - a real treat. I mean they are some of the best pancakes I have ever had in my life. My wife got a "Garden Pancake," which is really like a huge Gouda-loaded cheesy quiche, loaded with plenty of veggies like mushrooms, onions, peppers, tomato, etc. It was more or less labeled a pancake, though it ate like a brunch-style pizza. They have a very broad spectrum of both savory and sweet breakfasts. I would lean towards the sweet delights being their area of expertise (meaning do not come here for a burger or a regular bacon and eggs breakfast). I really recommend this place as the ultimate go to brunch spot for North & East siders in the Shelby/Macomb area. It would actually hold up as good as, if not better than most of the Ferndalde-area breakfast joints. Midwest-value for huge Midwest breakfast portions. Two thumbs up!

This place has all of the exact same recipes as The Original Pancake House, which was a staple of my childhood. The fresh-squeezed orange juice is to die for, and all of the food is amazingly delicious. Raspberry crepes are a personal favorite and don't forget their delectable thick-cut bacon.
