The bartender who was also my waiter....was good at checking on me and asking me if the food was okay....only problem is the food was average. Presentation was beautiful but the flavors were not there at ALL....I was looking for the salt for nachos....the cheese wasn't cheese....it looked like it though....my bean and cheese papusa was good but the pork and cheese had beans in it and tasted funny (The best I ever had was at SF carnival parade) ...salsa that came with it was the tastiest thing I ate overall....

I'm giving this restaurant 3 stars. My husband and I been wanted to stop by and check this new location out for a while and we finally got to go last night. First impression was that this restaurant is really nice and location is great. We walked in and our waiter was really nice. I came in not expecting anything because its a new place.
We order appetizers first and I ordered a margarita. For appetizers my husband wanted try the pupusas which were not cooked well, the masa was still soft. I ordered crab cakes and I was not a fan of it. It had a weird taste to it. Lastly we ordered the loli pop chicken wings which I thought were good. But I think the best thing were the chips and salsa. My drink was taking a long time. Our waiter came and told us he was sorry for the delay but the bartender was new. I was totally fine with it, get it. When my drink finally was brought to the table it was not a margarita it was a cherry martini that tasted like cough syrup.  Yuk! My husband was planing to order dinner but after tasting the appetizers we decided to just leave and go McDonald.
Last thing I wanted to mentioned if your a new restaurant and you notice you customer odering a drink and still sitting there, wouldn't you asked them "I notice you didn't finish your drink, was it ok? Or how was everything? " I'm too shy to be complaining about my meal or drink. If you want this business to succeed you need to pay more attention to your customers. We went around 10pm so there was people coming in and out the restaurant in to a lounge/ mini club. Which to me was really annoying I just wanted to enjoy a good meal and drinks with my husband.
Ill give it another try, i heard happy hour was better. we shall see.

New restaurant.  We went there for lunch.  A wonderful Caribbean and Latin American menu.  I had a bisteck encebollado and my wife a lomo saltado.  Both very good, nice presentation, reasonably priced.   French fries were good, rice nicely done and seasoned.  There was a habanero sauce that was very good.  Good plantains.

The design is nice and fresh, great colors.  The waitress was friendly, attentive and helpful.  The owners are very friendly and cordial.

Good place.  We enjoyed our lunch.  We recommend it.

First of all ... 4 stars because I have hope!!

Having worked at several NEW and start-up restaurants, I have a lot of sympathy for restaurants in their fledgling stage. Sunday June 16th was my first experience here. Upon entry, there were a total of 2 forget guests in the entire restaurant- and they seemed to be there because they were actually friends with the bartender (nothing wrong with that, as long as they are paying customers!)  we were seated at a table in the dining room, which was clean, neatly decorated, yet simple. Our server was very friendly, yet unfortunately needed a lot more guidance as far as menu knowledge, and proper table service.

As far as food goes, the pupusas are delicious. I can't speak for much else off the menu.... But I will definitely be trying more items the next few times I come.

Happy hour seems fair... Select cocktails at $5 and draft beers at $4. Pretty sweet deal as long as whoever is tending bar knows what she/he is doing back there!

I look forward to seeing the improvements this place can and will make over the next several months, and wish it much success! I'll be back for sure... Especially since it's so close to home.
