Stopped in for dinner before a show at the Holland Center. We were seated quickly and servers were attentive. The food was more than enough and was great. The shrimp and chicken could have been a little more crisp (honey walnut shrimp & Kung Pao chicken). The reason for three stars for the disorganized staff. We were given the wrong menu by the hostess, which was corrected by the server but only after I asked if they had a wine menu. The other reason is because when we received our bill it was way more than what we expected. When my husband looked through it he noticed they had added another appetizer and a  bottle of wine to our bill that we didn't order. When I looked at the table next to us I noticed they had the appetizer and wine...so our server added their items to our order. Not a huge deal as mistakes happen....but they were not busy and we were one of maybe four other tables in that section. She apologized and fixed it without issue. So, overall food was good and plentiful just be sure to check your bill before you pay;) Good place to try before a show, especially if you're looking to get in and out before a show downtown.

Pretty disappointed overall. Good decor, nice art, but all the tables are out in the middle of one big room, which lends itself more to casual dining than the slightly higher tier of dining I was expecting. Drinks and our appetizer, the hot crab Rangoon (you have to ask for it to be hot, the default is cold) were yummy, but then dinner came. I had the whitefish, or rather a few bites of it. Not much seasoning to it, and the overly heavy cream sauce just made it worse. My boyfriend got the Fusion Anthology, which he reported as tasty and passable, but not fantastic. For the 70 odd dollars we spent there, I don't think it is worth going back. Service was very good, however, impeccable.

Had drinks and an appetizer at the bar on New Year's Eve. Great ambience and attentive staff. Lance and Natalie are always greeting and nearby. Great place for lunch or dinner b

My friend and I were in need of some serious hangover cures on Sunday after a ridiculous party were we drank like we were still in our 20's. I was really looking for some kind of kimchi ramen or a spicy seafood noodle soup. Nothing was open for lunch on Sunday so we waited until 3 for O. We were the only people in there but the host was nice and made small talk with us. Since my friend was visiting from LA I ordered the crab rangoon because she had never had one before. They were pretty standard. We both ordered the spicy seafood noodle soup and I asked mine to be extra spicy to hopefully burn away last night's bad decisions.

The soup had good flavor and the noodles weren't over cooked. There was plenty of seafood in the soup including mussels, shrimp and scallops but I didn't find any squid. I wish mine had been even spicier and had more broth, but it hit the spot and started to make me feel like I hadn't just drank all the alcohol ever made and might just be able to reclaim my place as a respectable member of society again.

Had a great meal here last night! Did an appetizer tour. Had spring rolls, wasabi wings and pork dumplings. Spring rolls came with a killer peanut sauce! The pork dumplings were just ok, but the peanut sauce helped. The wings were good, I especially liked them with the wasabi soy sauce - it was such a great combo of flavors!

I've eaten here numerous times and every time I've been extremely satisfied.
You have to order the Spring rolls!
    This place is amazing.

Dropping our son off at college so trying some new places in Omaha. Having traveled extensively, we consider ourselves a little too picky on what others consider good restaurants.  We thought the food here was actually fairly good.  Started with pot stickers and lettuce wraps, which the lettuce wraps were some of the best we have ever had. Egg rolls were just ok. Entrees we had were curry chicken, orange beef, pad Thai and beef fried rice, and again some of the best! Love the smoky undertones on the dishes and they were spicy as we requested (Thai hot!). Also brown steamed rice was a definite plus. Beer was cold, service friendly and on a Friday nite at 6 PM not crowded.  Will definitely return when we visit Omaha.

It was my first visit to Omaha and I had NO idea what to expect. Hailing from San Francisco marks me as a foodie and I found my haven in no time. After the olympic trials, my family and I wondered down the road in search of a watering hole. Yelp told me to go here, so I did.

First star is awarded for location. Outside seating, downtown & across the street from a huge slide in the park!!
Second star is for the drinks. Affordable and EXCELLENT selection of beers & wine.
Third star is for the food. We tried every app on the menu and not one disappointed.
Fourth star is for the Service. Our server was so pleasant and so were the owners!!

We liked it so much, we went back two days later for lunch. Thank you O for showing me that great things are definitely possible and expected in Omaha.

Another great O dining experience... O never disappoints me.. Great service, drinks, and Asian fusion dining. This time I had their pot stickers, hot and sour soup, & potato pasta with chicken. My dining companion had the same with the Mongolian beef   entree.

Hot and sour soup was OK not great.... My entree was very tasty and I sampled the Mongolian beef and it was very well done! We requested our dishes to be spicy and they were!!! But that did not stop us from adding addiditonal chile sauce!!!

Also our martinis were bone dry as requested. I always visit the O when my travels take me to Omaha...

So, we were "those people" tonight.  We brought a 2 year old and a 6 year old to an Asian fusion restaurant.  Our 2 year old wanted to play with the chopsticks and make a lot of noise.  I told my wife I was sure someone would be tweeting something snide about how parents shouldn't bring their kids to places like this.  But we want them to experience all types of food, and they, as well as we, loved the food we got.

We started with the lettuce wraps, which were very well made, hot, and delicious.

We then ordered the Pad Thai and a rice medley.  Both were incredibly tasty, as good as any such dishes as I have ever had.  Of course, this cuisine is not my "bread and butter" so to speak, so maybe my palatte is not too refined in this area.  But I was certainly satisfied.

The staff was very understanding about the kids.  We left a bit of a mess, but everyone loved the food, and we made sure to tip well.  A nice night at O.

The food was not bad but not the best.  I've had way better although it was satisfying and it was made fresh for us.  The staff were friendly and the place looked very clean.  Its definitely a restaurant that turns into a night club after a certain hour.  I think that if they strictly focused on food that it would be way better quality.

We went on a Tuesday evening and there was absolutely nobody there.  We had the hole dinning area to ourselves.  It was a little concerning but I mentioned this to support the fact that the food was OK and not superb.  Thought???  why in the hoot is this place sooo empty???  I want to believe its location....

We ordered pad thai and king pao chicken. Both were the best I've had in Omaha.

I bought the groupon for this place and went with my boyfriend. It was AWESOME! I was very impressed with the wide range of flavors on their menu, and the waiter helped us pick out a house bottle of wine that went perfectly with our meal. The service was friendly, the food was great, and we will definitely be back!

Did a prix fixe menu through a living social deal and really enjoyed this place!  Shared a stir fry with mock duck and the chicken kung pao - both were great.  I absolutely love that they have options like mock duck (seitan  - as a sub for meat or tofu) as well as brown rice. Awesome!

Date night with my boyfriend usually consists of a delicious meal and a great film.  On this night  we chose O Dining & Lounge near the old market for some delicious grinds.   We're always scoping at some good eats on Yelp and through word of mouth and heard good things about this place.

It's a little be outside the old market and looks small from the outside.  When we walked in it definitely had a loungey relaxing feel to it the dining area is down and to the right off the bar but sectioned off from that area.  It was a welcome delight to eat at an asian restaurant with chopsticks.  I have an affinity for eating with chopsticks over forks, it's just way more comfortable for me!

Our waiter was really friendly and shared his thoughts on the dishes we each ordered.  I had the Pad Thai and my boyfriend had the shrimp pasta dish. I absolutely LOVED the pad thai it was so delicious with the nutty flavor from sprinkled peanuts to the sauce throughout the dish and the sprouts for texture.  The shrimp pasta dish was a wee bit spicey yet just to my bf's liking and enough spice where I could still enjoy the shrimpy goodness of the pasta dish.   The portions were pretty large so I took the rest home for my lunch the next day---still good---and was just as satisfied as I was the night before =)

I'm looking forward to trying more of their dishes and see how the renovations came along (looked like they were renovating when we stopped by).  I loved that the staff took the time to say goodbye to us on our way out.  All the little things matter--- to me at least!

Always, always trust your wife. When, upon sitting down in the newly renovated, mostly empty dining room at O, my wife said, "Maybe we should go somewhere else," I should have listened. But I didn't. Though she sensed that the superficial changes telegraphed a deeper deterioration to the restaurant,  I made the classic diner's mistake of hoping (against all evidence) that my experience would get better. It only got worse.

The new "decor" consists of bare, blood-red walls and reupholstered banquets. Oh, yes, and the "water feature" (angles panels of plexiglass guiding a neon illuminated sheet of water -- the element frames the new "d.j. booth" and would be more at home in a club where the dancers are also employees). The bare walls feel cold, and make the room dark and small.

Despite the lack of diners, our server seemed busy, distracted. Several times he did a "drive by", a bad wait-staff habit where the server flies by your table and yells a question over his shoulder to which he had no interest in hearing an answer. Though the staff out-numbered the customers by 2:1, they still seemed harried and distracted -- unpracticed and unprofessional.

We arrived late, I suppose (close to 9 p.m.) and toward the end of the meal, staff began clearing away tables to prepare O for the transformation from and empty restaurant into an empty night club. Our server, without explanation, brought a slice of cake to the table, on the house. I don't know if the dessert was old and needed to be thrown out, or if our server sensed, from a distance, that we were increasingly annoyed. After the table next to ours was carted away, one of the movers, a young man dressed like the bus-boys sat beside my wife and asked how our evening was.

Clearly, he was only interested in compliments.

He bristled when we described our preference for the previous decor. The art on the walls, the plastic plants, made the room warmer and more welcoming. He argued with us when we explained they would likely have trouble pulling off the fine-dining/hot nightlife fusion -- after all, Tao in Las Vegas is very successful (as is the Venetian, the high-end casino in which the Asian Fusion dance club is housed -- location, location, location). The young man stated it was clear there was nothing he could do to change our mind.

And, it turns out, the casual lad was the owner, (we had to ask) and rather pleased with the changes he had made. Indeed, he was more interested in protecting his concept than addressing the poor experience of customers who used to dine at his establishment several times a year. The most important thing to this owner seemed to be to have a room that is "cool". And cool it will be, because you need to have bodies in your restaurant to make it "hot". An empty dining room on a Friday night in the Market should tell an owner everything they need to know about the success of their concept.

Finally the food. I had a Pad Thai, the wife had a seared Tuna appetizer. Each was ok. That's it. Not terrible. Firmly middle-of-the-road. About right for the price. Not as good as it once was, back when O knew what it wanted to be: a decent restaurant.

Used to like O, but won't return until they have sorted out their identity crisis. Best of luck.

I just ate there with my wife and her visiting family on Sunday night, and had a tremendous time.

The servers was incredibly speedy and attentive, refilling our drinks almost without our noticing. When the item I wanted was unavailable, the waiter apologized and recommended a substitution that was more than satisfying. He also recommended additional vegetables for each dish that really popped. We truly had a perfect evening out, and considering that each of us was able to take a to-go box for another meal the following day, the price is really nothing to fret about.

    Full recommendation!

I was excited to take my fiance to O Dining last night, especially since we'd seen on the news that the business has been mediocre of what they were expecting it to be with the CWS.  So, I was happy to come on down and spend some money.  I have always received great service and the food is always awesome at lunch; however, last night was a different story.  After my fiance and I were seated, we had one server come to the table and give us water.  That was it...20 minutes later no one had come by to even take our drink order.  There was only two other tables in the restaurant and they were all done eating.  The servers were busy talking and cleaning up tables.  So, we decided to leave and go to the Upstream, where they were happy to take our orders and money at the end of the night.

Before you complain on the news that business isn't what it should be for having the College World Series in town, maybe you should take a hard look at your waitstaff.  They may be the reason no one is coming in...

It's a bit odd and expensive and all, but the food was pretty good.

In Omaha, it's probably great Asian.  On the west coast, it is overpriced and confusing.

My husband and I went here a few weeks ago for the first time to celebrate my birthday, and we were definitely impressed! Our server was very prompt and on top of things... we never once had to ask for drink refills!
The food here was delicious. I had garlic asparagus chicken and loved it, and also loved my husband's orange beef. Everything was very fresh and just the right temperature.
To top off our great experience here, our server even brought me cake on the house for my birthday! We loved every moment of this experience and will definitely be back again!

The best way to describe my experience at O Dining is mediocre.  I stopped by for dinner on a Monday evening.  Despite the fact that the restaurant was pretty empty, our service was spotty at best.  (Our appetizers arrived before our drinks, and it was just all-around strange and slow - although friendly - service.)

The food was deemed tasty by both my friend and I.  I had the snow pea and asparagus stir-fry with tofu.  I ordered it "as spicy as it could be" and it came without a hint of spiciness, but it was delicious other than that.

The space is very odd.  It's trying to be up-scale, but not quite succeeding with painted drop-ceilings and unfinished elements on the walls.

    I didn't necessarily dislike O, but I didn't like it either.  I can't really think of a reason I would go back.

O is a fantastic upscale-ish asian fusion restaurant and favorite of mine.

It's a great place to take your friends when you're thinking all you want is chinese food but your friends want to do something a little on classier side.  This is a perfect place to meet them in the middle.

Their menu is fantastic, fresh, and flavorful. I always get something different at this restaurant for two reasons:

    1. I can never remember what I had the time before

    2. I've never been let down with my meal.

The one item on the menu I order consistently is the spicy cucumbers. MMmmm I could eat them all day every day.

The servers are friendly and knowledgeable. I usually end up chatting with them longer than I should.  Upstairs is a bar area. I like how its separated from the restaurant part. The feel it completely different. As it should be.

Their wine selection is good. I was impressed when they had my favorite wine for much cheaper than I could find anywhere else in the old market area.

WOW!  This is a great place!  The location is excellent for anything you want to do before or after you eat.  The staff is excellent.  And the food is outstanding.

The first time we went, there were 4 of us.  Each ordered a different meal.  There is enough food on one meal that it can be shared between two people.  (which was fine with us, because we all got to taste something different.)

We've gone back a couple of times and made meals out of the appetizers.

    Great selection of wine, too!

It's one of my favorite Asian places in Omaha. I bring my family here, they love it. I bring my friends there before a night on the town, they love it.

I always order the Flamed Beef or Infused Rib Steak, they're so good I'm afraid to deviate. My dining partners usually order something different and none have ever complained, only praised so order with confidence.

Try the Soju if you're in the mood for alcohol and want to try something new. Very few places in Omaha serve it.

Asian fusion somethingorother. Whatever. It is good. Very tasty in fact.

I was told the owners graduated from PF Changs. That is a good sign... take something successful and make it better.

Steamed shrimp dumplings were delicate and delicious.
Green beans and garlic were perfection.
The entrée I had was the Fusion Anthology... with a little bit of mm mm and a little bit of uh uh. Calamari, beef, mushrooms, assorted veggies and lots of flavor notes... it was name correctly.

My colleague had Orange Essence Beef... super rich.

We split a flourless chocolate torte. Buttery and super smooth.

So I loved the place. Our server was awesome. The wine list was affordable and unpretentious. The food was tasty. The location is awesome. The decor included art pieces for sale. What is not to like?

    O. was a favorite when it was on Dodge due to proximity, but I don't miss the parking hassle at all.

I'm an Asian food junkie (it's the half Japanese in me). I love Asian food it all its forms...traditional, authentic, fusion, upscale, street food, homestyle. So, of course, O. is on my radar.

Here's the deal with O. They have a few items that are quite lovely and should be included on the "must try at least once if not every single time list". That said, they also have items that are "avoid at all costs because it's so NOT worth it". On the YES list: Hot & Sour soup, Rib Steak, Flamed Beef, Garlic Green Beans, Hot Braised Shrimp, Veg Stir-Fry (with Tofu). Certain dishes, like the Black Bean dishes, are hit or miss...sometimes really delish, sometimes over flavored (which can happen with black beans).

Although O. isn't on my regular rotation, it's a really good downtown option. Let's face it...the Old Market has fabu ambience, but most of the dining establishments just aren't that great. Thank goodness O. helps redeem the OM food scene.

I used to travel to Omaha on business on a frequent basis.  I wish I still had to go there, and not because I liked working on "Omaha projects."

Nope, I want to go back so I can eat at O.

The food is great.  It is not Chinese or even Asian.  It is Asian inspired with a great deal of Chinese flavors.  Try the cucumber appetizer (can't remember the exact name of it but it had chili flakes and a sweet-ish sauce that was worth the calories).  Entrees you can count on: Kung Pao shrimp; and Singapore noodles.

A classmate of mine who is still on active duty and flies out of nearby Offutt introduced me to this place.  Somebody give him an AF Achievement medal for giving me the opportunity to enjoy O.  Fly safe, brother.......

its quite a interesting restaurant. from outside it doesn't look anything like what you will see inside. As soon as you walk in you'll see this waterfall on the wall and a bar which leads to dining area. pretty tip top for a chinese restaurant. I had a blac barbeque beef and it think its only served here.  price wise its 20 bucks a person on average.

pluses: quite a fany chinese restaurant.
minuses: if i have to say, then dining area could have been bigger so that you don't feed conjusted.

I normally don't like Asian fusion. Usually, Asian fusion really means: "Let's take this perfectly fine Asian dish and screw it up by making it supposedly more palatable for white people." It didn't look good when I walked in there and everyone (including the waitresses) was white. Then I saw the menu and noticed a lot of stuff was some Asian dish that was modified somehow. Not a good start.

First thing I asked the waitress was "What ethnicity are the owners"? I asked because there were some dishes on there that could potentially be authentic. Apparently, the owners are Chinese-Korean. That allowed me to confidently order the Black Bean Noodles, since that looked like it could be one of the non-Asian fusion dishes.

Turns out, I was right! It was a very good ja jang myun (Korean name for the dish). Much better than even the Korean restaurant in west Omaha.

I also got the spring rolls (not that good; didn't taste super-fresh; peanut sauce and chili sauce were kinda weird) and the hot and sour soup (pretty good, but it's hard to screw up hot and sour soup).

If you want authentic Asian food but your not-very-adventurous friends are scared of it, you can come here and get either the Black Bean Noodles (ja jang myun in Korean) or Spicy Seafood Noodle Dish (jam bong in Korean), while your friends get the other stuff and everyone will be happy.

I was much more impressed with O the first time I went (in the old location).  Not sure what or how, but it seemed to me that something changed when they moved downtown.

Don't get me wrong, I was thrilled that they moved to the Old Market of all places, but it just wasn't the same for some reason.  I probably would have done the opposite of Ryan and given 5 stars for the old location.  :)

Still, it's a great spot with delicious meals and friendly service.  The brown rice is pretty winning as well.  It's also a great place to hold an event of modest size, drinks upstairs to start the night, and then dinner in the back room.  Excellent.

So far from home and missing SF Asian cuisine, I was quite delighted by my O Dining experience.

Everything on the menu sounded appetizing and the selections we made were all flavorful.  I was particularly taken by the Rice Paper Shrimp Dumplings (har gow) which could pass for homemade.  They were small, succulent and served properly in a steam basket.

The Garlic Green Beans were done nicely, although I would have preferred them a bit more "al dente."  Nonetheless, they were divine!

I was very happy to see that they served glass noodles.  I asked if they could substitute tofu for meat and they were more than happy to.  The tofu was cooked nicely and was plentiful and scrumptious.

Ooh!  They also serve brown rice and it is aromatic and cooked to perfection.

I was particularly taken by the Wasabi Hot Wings.  What a wonderful appetizer!  Sweet, with complex flavors and a nice crunchy texture.  Heaven!  I only wished that they were a bit more bold with the wasabi, it was too mild for my taste.

I suppose that would be my only criticism... items marked as "Spicy" are not very spicy at all.  Even the spciy dipping sauces could use more fire.  The kim chee was delightful, but lacked some kick.  Next time, I am going to request that everything be made "extra spicy."

    Three suggestions for the owner:
    1.  Be more forward with the fire.
    2.  Serve hot tea in a pot.
    3.  Have spicy black bean sauce and red rice vinegar available as condiments.

Overall, a wonderful experience that left a lovely, lingering taste in my mouth.  I will definitely be back for more!

I went here for business, so I can't comment on the price.

I loved their drinks, the wine selection is ok, and the service is slightly above average. The bathrooms are downstairs, which was inconvenient in heels.

The food, however, is on its own level. It is unique, delicious, and memorable. I had the salmon, and it was paired with fabulous sauces and flavors. I'm a big fan.

This is probably the best Asian place in Omaha.  I only went ot the old location once and dined a tthe new downtown location the other night.

The Sexy Alligator Martini was awesome - I was a little hesitant to have a martini that had Jeagermeister in it, but it rocked.  Unfortunately for me they have a lot of dishes with shrimp (as most Asian restaurants do).  They even put a shrimp in my hot & sour soup - I double checked the menu and pointed out that shrimp was not in the description.  The kindly made a new batch for me.

When I finally got shrimpless hot & sour - it was excellent.  The Lemongrass Chicken and the Beef & Glass noodles were great as well.  My friends assured me that the shrimp dishes were tasty too.

My only complaint is that the service was a little spotty at times, but I think that that goes with having just opened, so it might take a little bit of time.

The place is huge and it looked like it has an upstairs bar/lounge area as well

O Casual Dining is my wife's favorite restaurant.  Those of you who are familiar with Samuel L. Jackson's character "Julius" from Pulp Fiction will recognize that makes O pretty much my favorite restaurant as well.

If I were rating O based on my experience at their old location, I would have given them only 4 stars, as I liked their food, but it lacked kick.  The items on their menu that were marked to indicate "spicy" were only "spicy" by my grandmother's definition, which I think involves cinnamon and scotch.

The new menu has a lot of the old favorites (including Walnut Chicken, which is like crack to Mrs. Angry Midget), but they have added some heat.  I tried the Jalapeno Chicken, which was not only really hot, but incredibly tasty as well with bell peppers, asparagus, snow peas, and bamboo in addition to the ingredients in the title of the dish.

O also has a great selection of cocktails and beer.  I like to drink Kirin Ichiban anytime I have sushi or Asian food, and they have it on tap, as well as Goose Island IPA.

Despite all this fantasticality, the prices are very reasonable and the serving sizes will ensure that you have plenty to eat for lunch the next day.

I enjoyed this restaurant several times at their old location which was on 80th and Dodge.  Unfortunately, Children's Hospital bought the building (which reportedly, O Casual had spent a chunk of change remodeling) and tore it down.  They had to relocate, and were closed for 3 months.

We had heard that they would relocate and thought the Old Market would be a great place.  They are in the location where a Chinese place used to be (The Great Wall location??).

Their food is supposedly a fusion between French, Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Vietnamese. and American cuisine.   Atmosphere is upscale contemporary.  The bar has a wall of water dripping behind it (which was probably moved because there was one at the old location as well).

They reopened at the new location on 1-24-2008.  I had dinner there on Saturday, their 3rd day.   We were greeted promptly and seated quickly even though the restaurant was packed.  We waited a while and finally our male waitron appeared.  My dining partner asked for suggestions and the waitron had little to recommend.  He had tried little  on the menu (bad idea for restaurant owners!  Your waitrons need to know WHAT the food tastes like!).

The wine we ordered they were out of, but the bartender or owner came over and made some other recommendations.  We had to ask several times to get a glass of water.

My dining partner chose the pecan chicken and I had a steak stir-fry.  I had the steak previously and loved it.  It was good this time, not great.  The pecan chicken is sweet, which I usually don't like.  It was okay.  We also had a eggroll which was typical eggroll fare.  If I had been eating with my husband, we probably would have tried some other more unusual items.

I think they are still working out the kinks of a new restaurant.  I think this place has HUGE potential and I will definately be back.  There is a bar upstairs with a great view--a nice place to have a few cocktails.
