Once was enough. Though the actual hookah was pretty good and the little we were able to taste of the food was good the service was so bad that it's not even worth it. Somewhere in the first quarter of our time there, our server completely ignored us despite being very attentive to the table right next to us. It was so bad that we had to call the manager who proceeded to 'not understand' what happened because he was one of his best servers, offered to take the hookah off our tab which I refused because I didn't go in for freebies, just for a good time. We wanted to order more food but he took so long to take the order and then bring it that we gave up, left and had a wonderful dinner somewhere else. Never going again, will greatly advice you to find somewhere else to go too. Also, the bathrooms were so disgusting, water all over the floors, women passed out there and the hostess was just straight up rude and dry.

Came here 45 minutes before they closed and they turned us away. Bouncer told us to ask the owner, who refused to even talk to us. The time I came before that, the hookah was mediocre. Never patronizing this place again.

First time trying hookah...went on a Wednesday night when it was nice and quiet! We sat outside which was very nice and the view was perfect! We ordered the blue stuff for the hookah it was awesome! I enjoyed it over all, only bad part is that they only serve sushi on the weekends which is a real bummer!

And the sleeze award goes to...Off the Hookah management. My friend wanted to celebrate her birthday here on a Friday night and called in advance to inquire about cover charge for our group. What they told her and what actually happened are two TOTALLY different things.

When we rolled up before midnight (SUPPOSEDLY no cover bf 12am, but quadruple check before you go), we were shocked to find it would be $20 each. Mind you, our female-to-male ratio was 3:1. I asked about their no-cover and the door staff explained they had a "special" reggaeton performance so everybody had to pay up. After what can only be described as a stare down worthy of a Korean film and some negotiating, he only made our dude pay.. *still sucks*

When we walked in...the place was a ghost town. Thought it would get better later in the night and while the crowd strolled in sure enough, the music didn't quite get the memo. It was literally the same song over and over and over. The DJ must've gotten hold of Y100's playlist and then proceeded to add in some more tikki-takki before blast off. Point is, every song was played out to death and annoyingly euro-trance in nature. Oh and every 10 minutes or so, they'd blare this crazy train-horn siren and spew cold fog from the ceiling....miserably trying to make the place a super-party-hot-spot but the only thing it reminded me of was the Costco freezer section.

What I'll give the place is that it's cool looking and the outside seating offers awesome postcard views of Bayside. The chandeliers and Egyptian decor is eye-catching but if I wanted only visual stimulation via themed furniture, I'd hit up El Dorado. Clubs are for dancing and unfortuantely, the only time my feet got moving was when I happily jetted outa there!

This place is very disorganized. We arrived at 930pm only to find out no one had any idea of our reservations (of which we confirmed TWICE before our arrival). The hostesses and VIP staff were very unfriendly and not at all helpful. The drinks were ok. The food was overpriced and subpar. Supposedly they had drink specials (as advertised on their website), but when we questioned the staff about it they informed us that that advertisement would not be honored. The manager was completely incompetent and had the most atrocious attitude ever. When he was questioned about the false advertising he informed us he had no interest in working with us and only came over to tell us why we were wrong. Seriously? When we visited the womens restroom, we found 4-6 waitresses hiding out in the bathroom evading their jobs. As we left (1130pm and STILL the place was empty) and walked through Bayside we were approached by a promoter or something to go to Off the Hookah, we told him about our bad experience, and the manager with the attitude problem. The promoter CONFIRMED the manager is an @ss and wished us a good evening. It really tells you something when the staff is completely disorganized, uninformed, and thinks so poorly of management. Never going back to this location again. I wonder if the Fort Lauderdale location has also gone down the drain?

Off the Hookah was a fun experience. It is a good atmosphere for people who enjoy hookah. After about 10 or so it becomes a lounge with a great music, belly dancers and fire breathers. I preferred the laid back atmosphere during dinner.  The dinner is "OK" not gourmet. When I go, I generally share an appetizer (if I get food), have a few drinks and order a hookah. Overall,  I would recommend Off the Hookah for drinks and hookah.

arrived @ Miami on a friday night J -lo weekend after concert we decided to take a nice walk thru bayside and of course since I love hookah where else than Off the Hookah the authentic experience of Miami. The captivating view of the very high end yachts give you that nice eye candy you always crave. Front security was very courteous with my group and escorted us inside where we had set aside a nice little table over looking the bay. Our server was amazing !! he hooked us up with amazing drinks all night plus really gave us good information on the hookahs. Don't ask me which flavors I tried because I don't remember they have different weird names and frankly can't re call. The Dj spinned very catchy hooks with Dance/Reggae-ton the crowd dig gin it, we hanged almost till 3a. thats how well they treated us. So Next time you in Bayside, and in the feel for some exotic smoking bad ass music and party with friends OFF THE HOOKAH! ....

First time at the Off The Hookah in Bayside.  First of all, they couldn't have put it any further in the back corner.... Such a strange spot.  Besides that, the place is cool.  Plenty of Egyptian artifacts and statues for fun photos...I myself posed on top of one of the Pharaoh cats out front.

The inside appears big at first glance.  It's a little bit of an optical illusion.  Half of the space is actually the VIP section.  So us non VIPs don't really get much dancing space.  The drinks are decent.  $30 bucks for 3 drinks... Fair enough I guess; that's pretty standard.  Music was good. Crowd was... interesting... An intense mix of very young and very old...

Bathrooms were clean, but I did have to ask the bathroom attendant for toilet paper to refill the stall I was going to use..  Thank goodness I always check for toilet paper first... Phew!

Didn't try any of the hookah.  If I ever happen to stumble in again, I'll make it a point to sample some of the flavors.

If you live in South Florida at some point you've heard about Off the Hookah whether it be their location in West Palm, Fort Lauderdale or Miami. Off the Hookah Miami is mostly known as an afterhours lounge, but me being the glutton for food, decided it would be best to grab some dinner and see what the fuss is about at the same time. Really though, I was just craving some off the hook hookah!

We got there a little before 9pm so much of the staff was preparing for the nightclub hours. There were also a lot of people standing around with nothing to do too. We were seated right away, but since we did not have reservations we were seated at an awkward spot in the middle of the dining area so I recommended making reservations with specification of where u want to sit if you do decide to come here. I would even suggest that sitting on the patio outside by the water may be a lot nicer. Random, but the chairs were very uncomfortable.

The scene fit the feel of the restaurant/lounge. Music was playing, the lights were colorful, and a belly dancer dances so it is an overall a fun atmosphere. The others that had arrive early like we had, were having a good time; dancing, singing, talking, eating, drinking and smoking. I personally like places like this but if you are looking for a quiet dinner, this is definitely not the place to be. As I said before, there was a lot of staff when we arrived, but even after being seated immediately, it took a awfully long time for someone to come to our table. There seem to be some confusing as to who should be serving what table. Other than that, the service was good. The waitress we had was very friendly and helpful. She seemed to like her job and that makes all the difference in the world.

The food overall was mediocre. The Maryland Crab Dip was alright. It tasted fine but was nothing special. With the crostinis (which I'm not a fan of) it was palatable but with the pita chips (which I love on their own), it came off as bit too salty. I enjoyed the Rack of Lamb (herb crusted and charbroiled). Although it was cooked well done and I had asked for medium, it was not dried out and I enjoyed the flavor of the crust. The goat cheese mashed potatoes were whatever; I didn't like the cheese combo. The asparagus drizzled with a Andros sauce was good. The Filet Mignon wasn't very good at all. It was tender but as flavor goes it was very bland. It clearly was not seasoned and the sauce it came with added nothing to save the lack of the flavor. Again the bleu cheese mashed potatoes just were not good and the asparagus drizzled with a Cyprus sauce was good. Now, the drinks (a Signature Margarita & Long Island) on the other hand were nice and strong.

The main reason to come to Off the Hookah is the hookah and whether it was off the hook or not is to be determined, but I was happy with it. Let me preface by saying that I don't smoke and this was probably like my third or fourth time smoking hookah but I did enjoy the chocolate-mint flavor and it lasted through our entire meal which she outed so we could eat and re lit once we were done eating so no complaints here and it was well worth the price.

Perhaps if I came late night I would have enjoyed it much better, but for dinner since it is all about the food it would not be a top choice. It is however, a good place for groups and a fun place to have a good time.

I came here Monday night around 11pm for hookah and a late dinner. My cousin and I enjoyed the pink guava hookah with some dancing eel sushi and Mediterranean flat bread. The food definitely hit the spot and the hookah was great! Overall an enjoyable experience.

Came here on a Tuesday night at 8:30 The place was empty! But we didn't mind. Less hustle and bustle. The place is huge! It is dimly lit by red lights. The whole place has a morocco tone to it. Also has a club feel.  Let me just say the decorations there were elegant! Loved it. Great party vibe and clean.  It's perfect for a group gathering.  It is also right by the marina so you get a beautiful marina view. If you sit outside the it's even better.  We decided to sit in cause we were mesmerized by the decor. Think moulin rouge. The food was delicious. We got a groupon for $43 that includes one app, two entrees and two alcohol drinks and a hookah. It was a great deal and we were surprised it costs so cheap considering the decor.  We ordered Thai buffalo wings for appetizer.  Which was tangy and spicy and tasted like the sweet and spicy thai sauce they put on thai fried chicken. It was so delicious.  For entrees I got the chicken kabob and my friend got the beef kabob. The portions were big. There were two scuwers of meat per plate and it comes with grilled veggies and rice. The meat were tender and grilled to perfection. Then the highlight was the mango hookah we got. The place had the perfect atmosphere for hookah! I saw some reviews that the service sucked.  That wasn't my case.  Our server gave us great service.  He stopped by every 15 min to ask us how we're doing.  He even filled out water twice and asked us if we needed boxes.  I def will go back if I ever visit Miami again.

I really love this place as a place to go on a date or a place to go party. Thursday nights is ladies night until 4 AM no cover no nothing! The food is delicious even though it is a little pricey and they add an 18% gratuity to every check. The hookahs are well at priced $25.00 they have regular or hydro. I recommend Blue Mist or Chocomint they're sweet with a taste of mint. The downfall to the place is the service. They seem just a little overwhelmed at times. They try their best I guess. They have a belly dancer that performs outside by the bay while you have dinner on Friday nights. The sushi is absolutely perfect it is so fresh. I recommend the Baked Crab Dip or the Hummus as an appetizer. I also came here for lunch one time with my little sister we sat outside and enjoyed the view of the bay. The location of this place is perfect. On Thursdays they have belly dancers, go go dancers, and flare shows. The bartender's flare show is incredible! The music in this place is good. I like the Egyptian décor. This is my favorite place for a wild girl's night out of drinking and partying or a nice romantic dinner date with your boo outside by the bay.

It took 15 min before our server came to greet us. That essentially set the tone of our experience there. We had to flag down our waitress every so often after feeling neglected for too long. She told us they ran out of small appetizer plates. Then My sister asked for some salt to salt her steak. 15min later my sister flagged her down again and it was only then that she revealed they had no more salt and pepper shakers available.....as if grabbing 1 from another table wasnt an option or simply putting some salt in another container and bringing that out wasn't an option. We had a groupon so our bill was only a fraction of the $400 tab it would have been but I could not and would not leave her the suggested 18% tip. good service = good tip.

I went to Off The Hookah Sunday night wtih some friends. We sat at the outside patio bar and had a few drinks. The patio over looks the waterway, it was gorgeous out. We order a bunch of different food items, they were all good. The humus was amazing and the sushi was above average. I will def be coming back again. I love the entertainment with belly dancers and music. Besides when you walk in the place is just decorated to impress. Made me feel as if i was in for a carpet ride or a tomb raiding adventure. The lighting is dim, Anubis statues and egyptian cat statues are evident in the decor. The private rooms have linen curtains and some really nice carpets are laid out on the wood floors. The pictures don't do it justice so come in and see for yourself. I myself have been to both in Bayside and in Ft. Lauderdale, come to the one in Bayside.

Came here on a Friday night around 11 and had no trouble getting in. I keep hearing about how fun this place is and i was glad i had the chance to finally check it out. The theme of the club like most people have said is egyptian. It is very spacious inside so its not cramped up like other clubs which is a plus. We ordered a hookah which came out to $30, its $25 but gratuity was added.. bugged me a little but whatever. We got the peach hookah which had really good flavor and lasted a long time.

I think this place definitely needs to be a little more strict with their dress code. I saw a couple of girls there with jean shorts on.

-P.S Thursday is Ladies Night, drink free all night.

I never thought I'd be coming here for dinner since the times that I have seen it advertised they always talked about ladies night and two for one drinks and DJ en la casa lo conosen.. Hence.. I was surprised when I came here for dinner with a groupon for four on a Tuesday night.. and it turns out this place is actually very good.. the food, and service were great! the ambiance was good but it could be better if they could just turn the music down a few decibels at least for dinner before 11 so people could sit inside and talk. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone that enjoys good food at a reasonable price with good service.. The menu is mostly Mediterranean but they also have some great sushi rolls.. This would be an Ideal place for a date or among friends..

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE!  I wish there was "No Star" rating as this place has no regard for paying clients. Made reservations to eat, drink and hookah. I thought we can have dinner before our broadway show cause its close by. We got there at 6pm and it wasn't busy at all so I thought "perfect timing" but no! No hostess, we had to ask for the bartender to help us. After 20 min we were finally offered to sit outside. The sunset was blaring toward the terrace and was about 80-90 degrees hot!  I asked for a seat inside but the "don't care attitude" useless hostess said that it was closed for a private event. I asked to speak to manager to explain that she should have mentioned over the phone that indoor seating were closed before I made plans to go. What a waist of time! The manager was not helpful at all and had the same "don't care" attitude. I don't want to even bother giving this place another shot cause once you experience the worst 1st impression, it will reflect on the food and bad dining experience! STAY AWAY!!!

I went on a Thursday night around 9pm before it turned into a club and sat outside; I ordered food, a hookah, and a bottle of wine. My server's name was Darien, he was somewhat attentive but when I got the check and noticed he had charged me $50 for my bottle of wine when I ordered a different bottle that was $24, he just said sorry for his mistake but he couldn't do anything because I had already drank it. I was a little angry because I had to pay an extra $25 for his mistake. The overall experience was ok but I don't think I'll ever go back.

    Cover was $10.

When I first heard about this place, I thought it would be a hookah bar. Well apparently, it's more like a nightclub. No sandals, no shorts, I learned that the hard way. After making the 20 minute drive back to my house to change, I went in, and it was packed.

The music was great, and there was a lot of people dancing on the dance floor. The bartender was very nice, and the drinks weren't that expensive. They had 3 dollar tequila shots, and 3 dollar coronas. Not sure if this was a cinco de mayo special, but it wasn't bad at all. They closed at 5am, and I have to say, it was worth the drive.

If it weren't for the awesome deal my friends and I got through groupon the experience would have been horrible! The service was not good and how exactly does a restaurant run out of plates....Not to mention there was no salt and pepper on the table and when my friend asked for some she was told by the waitress that there was none! Drinks were also not impressive either.

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! This place pretty much sucks mainly for the  horrible managers they have and slow service. We got there an hour before the restaurant turns into a club. Got a table by the entrance which apparently turns into the VIP section but of course we were not told about this so we started ordering lots of drinks, four hookas and food. Couple of hours later once the club started to get full we are asked to leave to the bar area unless we buy a bottle. SERIOUSLY!!! They tell us this when our tab is already $500? So we ask to speak to the manaer, and we literally spoke to five managers until they realized it made no sense to kick us out because we were going to keep spending. After telling us "sorry about that enjoy your night", the General manager shows up and gives us our tab and tells us we have to leave!!!! This man by the name of Jonathan is an idiot and has no clue how to treat customers. This was truly an awkward and horrible experience thanks to OTH. This place deserves to learn a lesson so they start treating customers right and stop this bs. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. THERE ARE MANY BETTER PLACES OUT THERE WITH BETTER FOOD, SERVICE, MUSIC AND REAL ENTERTAINMENT. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE!!!!

Wanna go to Hialeah?!?!  Well don't because it is right around the corner in Downtown Miami at Bayside Marketplace.

Off the Hookah's prices for bottle service is pretty high considering the clientele that visit this venue.  The decor is amazing and it seems like they put a lot of money into the place in order to make it look somewhat mediterranea.  But like other reviewers say...It looks more 'Egyptian' than anything else.

The music was good, Power 96 was broadcasting live, but once the broadcast was over, songs were repeated over and over again, at least a handful of times.

ON THE HIGH NOTE:  The service was up to par and very attentive by the staff.  The drinks were continuously refilled along with the ice bucket and the any little spill around the table area was cleaned up almost immediately.  THUMBS UP to the Staff of Off the Hookah!  The charcoals were changed very frequently on the Hookahs to continue burning...Hookahs never died out.

The only problem was the crowd.  The crowd was so inconsistent and there were so many different types of people in there.  There were some dressed up and there were many dressed down...I mean I saw a great handful of people wearing T-Shirts and shorts along with one wearing a Heat jersey.  Come on off the Hookah...if you are going to attract people, attract the right crowd...Not let everyone in!

I'm sure it can do better...I may give it another chance.

Went to see a DJ last night at Off the Hookah and the place was pretty dead - which is weird during WMC week.  We had just had dinner and drinks so we grabbed a "Pina Colada" hookah.  Well set up - wasn't harsh at all and lasted quite a few rounds.  Wasn't super Pina Colada-y - but pretty good.

Didn't try any food.  Great view outside.

They went a little overboard on the Egyptian decoration... haha.  I think everyone that goes there "walks like an Egyptian" at least for a few seconds.  I know I did.

OMG, tonight makes twice I visited this place and both times it was ......
    OFF THE HOOKAH!
So awesome. The first time was for lunch with my dog, I tried the steak salad for lunch per the servers recommendation and it was soooooo perfect.
Tonight for dinner I had a glass of pinot and I tried the macadamia nut crusted mahi mahi and I'll go back for that dish alone! Belly dancer playing with fire, handsome servers, reasonable prices, beautiful ocean breeze outside and a romantic atmosphere inside, what more could you ask for! Nice bathrooms would be an understatement, I love the decor! You gotta go..........

Went last Saturday to celebrate a friends birthday. Ordered the cleopatra salad delish! Then had the lollipop lamb chops. The salad I expected to come atleast 15-20 minutes prior to the entree being served but the entree came out about 5 minutes later which was kind of annoying. The lamb chops dish was full of  flavor however cutting into the chops was very difficult. For $24 I expect the lamb to be delicate and cut like butter instead it was more on the rubbery side. Overall experience was just o k, can't help the patrons who decided to dine next to us who were screaming and yelling totally classless disturbing everyone in ear distance and beyond. Also the live 80s music was more on the sucky side and was blaring over speakers set right above our table. Not sure I'd return for dinner...if someone else picked up the tab I'd consider it, just for that salad. Wasn't worth my $76.50 part of the bill which totalled 324 & some change. Thought it was a rip off.

The absolute worst place in Miami. Dont waste your time. From power tripping bouncers, to scummy managers, this place ceased to amaze me with every terrible experience. I am a local concierge checking out a new spot in town, when I told the bouncers and manager this, they looked at me like I was speaking another language. When i arrived ...After 30 minutes of one manager speaking to another, my cover charge was reduced from $20 to $10. Gee thanks since I send hundreds of guests to bayside daily and I usually don't pay cover at the most exclusive bars in south beach but that's besides the point. As I walked past the bouncer to walk inside, he said "what you got for me?" I looked at him shocked beyond belief and offended at point, and offered him a piece of gum which he declined and then explained to me why I should "take care" of him. Complete scumbag. Don't even have time to get into detail. Slow service, extremely expensive drinks, and managers everywhere who weren't willing to give me a free straw with my $20 drinks. Place is awful, if it's your last resort, go home and save yourself. RIP OTH Miami

The food was good but the service was misleading.  We had bracelets for free drinks but then discovered that not all the drinks were free. We asked for separate checks but were told they couldn't do that. In my opinion you can find a restaurant that offers better service.  Once they realized they kept messing up they were not as friendly as they were before.  I would never go back and eat there again.  There are so many other places with good food and much better service that's not misleading.

A bunch of us had a good Saturday night at Off the Hookah. Although we don't care for smoking, drinks were alright, atmosphere was okay, belly dancer was very pretty (but belly dancing challenged --- where is the wiggle in the hips???), service was friendly and attentive.

Food - I just had an appetizer platter which had the middle eastern staples, which was plentiful and good. --- Most friends had sushi and after trying a piece here and there, I was happy that I didn't order.

Clearly a-ok with potential although I cannot figure out how middle east and pseudo Japanese is supposed to blend.

This place recently opened. I went here with my best friends for dinner. I had a gyro which was delicious and my husband had the sliders which were also very yummy. It was a Thursday night and the atmosphere was fun. Not too many people, but also not too many waiters. Our waiter had his hands full and it was hard to get his attention when we needed ketchup or sugar.  We ordered as an appetizer the off the hookah platter. The hummus was just alright. The grape leaves were also average.
In general I like this place and maybe ill come back for the hookah.

Basically Off the Hookah is the BEST HOOKAH LOUNGE I'VE BEEN TO!

Driving down biscayne as a Miami local you might forget about Bayside.
But guess what? Theres a new playground in town.. Off the Hookah.

Here's why I love this place:

    1. Right on the bay! You can smoke hookah in those comfy red couches while you watch the yachts and boats pass by.
    2. Try sex on the beach hookah !!
    3. Lots of space to dance and the decor and venue is amazing.
    4. Best American location Hookah lounge in Miami. ( ive been to over 5 and also hookah bars in the middle east (my fav)   this one hits the spot!)
    5. You can smoke hookah, get light headed , drink and dance the night away.
    6. Theres a DJ spinning and they have good specials on bottles.
    7. great to go in a group

The only downside is walking through bayside to get to Off the Hookah, but hey water views makes it more distracting. I parked across the street on biscayne the few times i've been. Overall my experience was fun, it's the nicest hookah bar in south florida. This place makes me want to visit the Middle East again maybe Morroco next time :)

Quite a disappointing experience. My friend and I were lured in on one early evening by the host who said it was "ladies' night" and ladies' drinks were free at the bar. Only after being served our $12 margaritas we found out that the "ladies' night" started after 11 pm! Seriously??? Bayside pretty much shuts down at 10, why on Earth would they have drink specials after 11!? The margaritas were mediocre, and the bartender took about 10 minutes to prepare them though there was no one at the bar besides us. And when my friend asked for a hot tea, it took him another ten minutes to tell her that they had no tea! Not going back.

Off the Hookah is pretty fun if you are drinking. I love the middle east motif very beautiful. The location is kind of wierd since Bayside is not really happening but, it is fun. I would like to go to the Ft Lauderdale to see the belly dancing. The hydro hookah is pretty good. The sex on the beach flavor is nice. The hummus is pretty good too. Thanks for reading.

Firstly, let me just say I've only been in Miami since May 2011.

I've been here two times.  The first time was on a week night with my husband.  We saw that it was a hookah bar and decided to try it out.  There was absolutely no one there, but for a week night I wasn't really surprised.  We had 2 sushi rolls, hummus, 2 drinks and smoked some hookah.  The sushi rolls were presented in a really nice way and they were good as well.  The hummus was really good too, I'm a fan.  It was kind of expensive, but honestly everything at Bayside is that way it seems.  It was a nice experience, and our waitress was very attentive and informative when we were asking her about the place.  She told us that it opened only 3 weeks ago...

The second time we went we decided to go on a Saturday night, which we were told was like a techno/electronic atmosphere (we liked the music when it got loud enough to hear over their neighboring businesses - a con to sitting outside).  We went with some friends and had some drinks with our hookah.  The waiter, again, was nice and attentive.  The one thing that irritated me, was that in order to sit inside where we could actually see the belly dancers and listen to the music, you had to buy a bottle or be VIP.  I really can't stand that, especially when a bottle of Jack Daniels is $250.  Absolutely ridiculous.  I'm not sure if this is how much everywhere in Miami charges, but I would never pay that much for Jack.

I used to go to hookah bars in my old city all the time, and this was just a really different experience for me.  I understand that they are trying to cater to the nightlife crowds with their bar/club atmosphere, but when you restrict people with the VIP and bottle service I think it's just obnoxious.  I'm all for dressing up and looking nice, I just hope that they work out the kinks to try and make this place a little more approachable.

Overall we didn't have a bad experience, and the food and hookah were good.  I may go back here again.  Not too sure yet.  I would like to be able to sit inside without having to spend copious amounts of money, especially if it's just my husband and me...
