I have been a fan of this place since i moved to the area 2 years ago. Afternoon happy hour is awesome..the bartenders have never been rude and they all talk to you and make sure you stay quenched and happy! Me and my girl usually share a pitcher of PBR for $8
Been there tons of times for the UFC fights and helllooo it's free! You just have to get there early to get a seat im talking like 2 hours early. And it's easier to just keep your tab open for those nights. Don't expect to roll in right when the fight is starting trying to find a table for all your friends....I watch hockey here too and the bartenders are always cool with switching channels for you to see a certain game, just ask!!
Breakfast on sundays is also amazing,I mean all you can eat for under $7!? That's a steal! Had their breakfast burro before too and it was so yummy. I usually order hot wings, fries or chicken tenders and I have never had a problem with any of the food.
So office, i love you guys and I will always be coming back, you guys rock keep it up!
When I first walked in the first thing I noticed was how loud it was. I can't stand to go to a place to hang out with friends, but I can't hear a word they say! The jukebox needs to go.
Sitting down we got slow but kind service. Not impressed when we got the menu. I don't like food that is intentionally as unhealthy as possible. I want a couple of healthy options.
I did like a pear beer that I had and we enjoyed watching the ufc fights. The sports bar scene can be so so and this place was only ok.
I went to the office this past Saturday for the UFC event on Fox. Â The bartender was very friendly and prices were reasonable. Â It was happy hour and I tried their quesadilla with chicken added. Â Lots of chicken, lots of cheese, and lots of favor for a good price. Â My friends and I relaxed in the lounge area toward the back and were never rushed to leave or buy more, we were allowed to be comfortable. Â I would definitely come back here for another sporting event, probably during happy hour again.
Review Source:Came in a few nights ago, for dinner and also I wanted to catch the LA Kings game with my girlfriend.
Looking at the Menu we both saw something called the "Cardiac Fries" and we both looked as if our eyes had popped out of their sockets. Â Chili Cheese fries with onion, steak, and Bacon? Â Why have we not heard of this before?
I ordered the BLT sandwich and found the sandwich was pretty good, and so were the fries (though I did't finish them all from my plate and added them to the Cardiac).
By the time the 3rd period was over in the Game we had to leave, so we couldn't see the Overtime and shoot outs as the Bar was closing but out server Diana was very kind, and friendly and asked if we wanted to stay and finish the game, but we didn't want to impose as she had to close.
Kudos to both her, and the cook.
First and Probably the last time i go to this bar. I went last night and i have to say they have a cool interior and Good Karaoke DJ but the bartender was the most incompetent and rude person i have ever dealt with. I read many reviews with 4 and 5 stars for this place but i didn't see it  last night . Someone needs to call Bar Rescue to teach them the proper way to help customers. such a wast of a bar
Review Source:***Edit I wrote this review 2 months ago when this happen, but it never posted so im trying again.***
We come here a lot for lunch, but I never will again.  I was here 2 months ago and ordered a cheeseburger I asked if they could put chili on it.  The waitress said "no problem."  When it came out no chili.  I asked her about it and she said they were out.  I wish she would have told me that when I ordered, but whatever.  I was in a hurry so I kept asking her to bring the check.  Finally after 20 minutes of no check I just handed her my card.  When she brought the receipt she had charged me for the side of chili.  When I pointed it out she said, "I am new here and don't know how to remove it, so I had to charge you for it."  WTF!?!?!  I was already late for work so I left and figured I would email the owner and he could fix it.  I have emailed him twice now (<a href="mailto:brian@theofficeburbank.com">brian@theofficeburbank.c…</a>)  He will not respond to me.  To make it worse when I checked my credit card statement there was another charge for $17 on it from the office.  She must have charged me for someone else s meal too.  Dont hire new people and leave them alone for a busy lunch if you are not going to train them!
Dance floor has green lazer-type lights and they play music from the 90's. Nice, but I guess there were maybe 5 couples on the dance floor at this dive bar. My review is for the bar only. I never tried the food (since I got there pretty late).
Parking: Â street or on the lot next to KFC.
Good: Strong drinks, especially because the bartender forgot us and it was last call so she made the last drink we had count. Free pour WIN! Also, the prices are pretty low!
Weird: Crowded with girls who look like they are in Vegas. I felt underdressed. But the guys are all casual. Oh and it was pretty loud in there but I doubt you are at a bar to just "talk."
Bad: The bar was sticky. Only 1 bartender, 1 bus-man. Random guy was rude and just about ran me over trying to get a napkin.
They have a AYCE breakfast and supposedly great burgers. I'll be back to try these things!
I love this place, its a great place to come in and watch the games. On Sundays they have every game on very reasonable prices on the drinks, and you just can't beat the $2 tacos! They have an amazing staff Delilah, Laura, Diannah, Amanda, and Neena. This is my favorite bar in Burbank and I highly recommend any football fan come in here to watch the games on Sunday!
Review Source:this place is pretty awesome. The food is really good and the drinks are reasonably priced. My husband and I go there all the time to watch fights. They don't charge a cover like most other places do. The only down side of that is that you must get there early enough to get seats, otherwise you will stand all night. The service is ok, but their bus boy, is really attentive more than the servers actually. Pretty nice guy.
I like the chill environment.
It was a Tuesday night and I happened to be in the area with a friend of mine and we we were craving food and karaoke so we yelped till we decided on this spot. Since it was 11pm on a Tuesday night, it was pretty dead but we didn't really mind that. What I noticed right when we walked in was that (I'm assuming) the regulars all pretty much stared us down with a "who the hell are you?" look. So after letting that pass, every time we ordered beer or were talking near the other people at the bar, they would mimick and make fun of us. This happened all night.
So the beer and the food I would say is 4 stars but the locals and regulars just killed it for me.
Good happy hour burgers, friendly staff. Â Bartender might be out for a smoke with her homies while you're trying to get a beer, but nothing personal. Â Good selection on tap, but prices make no sense (since when is modelo more expensive than fat tire??). Â Â The kind of good neighborhood bar that makes me wish I lived within walking distance.
Review Source:Really, really, really good bar food. Â We came here for lunch before heading to the airport to drop off my guests for their flight home. Â I, of course, Yelped the nearest restaurant while driving and found The Office. Â I was a bit surprised when we first walked in, that it looked and felt like a "bar." Â My impression was that of a sports bar slash restaurant. Â The menu was full of hard-to-make choices, but I decided on the tuna melt. Â My guest had the tacos and the other had a salad of some sort. Â Everything was delish (I tried it all!). Â The bartender/waitress was super friendly, fast and efficient too. 5 Stars!!
Review Source:To be candid, I am not much of a drinker and I definitely don't hang around bars very often.
I used the $7 for $14 coupon from Yelp to try out a local spot. I had the penne with chicken & mushrooms in a cream sauce ($10) and the onion rings ($4). The penne was unnecessarily spicy (cool it with the red chili flakes!), but the beer battered onion rings were very, very good.
I went at 7:30pm on a Friday night and the place was less than half full, and still quite loud. Service was non-existent; I think they hired bartenders and forgot to train them on how to serve food.
I don't know how anyone is giving this place anything less than 4 stars. It may not be the best at anything but it is a SOLID establishment.
Highlights:
*Good food, standard menu
*All beers are not the same price, so if you want to drink cheaply you can. If you have more expensive tastes go for it.
*Really good beer selection, OK so it is no Tony's Darts Away but it is a very good selection nonetheless.
*There is an awesome yelp coupon.
*Try The Pear Moon
*Great Staff
My only complaint is that the jukebox is expensive. Otherwise it is a great place. I will be back.
Not a bad place to stop if you're in the mood for beer at a good price and some amazing beer battered onion rings. Whenever we stop and see IPA's on tap, it's always a good thing. The cheeseburger and caprese salad were solid. Did I mention beer battered onion rings? I would go back just for that. Excellent place to stop when you're flying in or out of the Bob Hope airport.
Review Source:Always in search of a great burger and this place is on the top of my list! Â Have the Aioli burger: YUM. Â Great selection on beer.
Be prepared: can't change ingredients on your food and you order from the screens at the bar, no one is going to take your order....Get use to it, its worth the lack of service for the exceptional food.....
The best thing about this place is that I can walk there! :)
No need for a DD is a huge plus~
They have Modelo Especial on tap (one of my fav beer) and the food was pretty good. Â The place is a bit small and can get crowded. Â
Oh, and on Wednesday I believe they have Trivia & Rockband night, which is cool. Â And they also have Karoake on Tuesday.
Make sure you use your Yelp Deal & save some $$$.
My friend and I decided to go bar hopping last night, so this was our 3rd stop of 4.
Not too bad, very cozy, and not crowded. The beer Hoegarten was pretty tasty and the service was pretty good and we sat and talked to some guy that's a regular there. All in all not a bad little place.
I want to like this place, but I can't really get into it.
First off, there's a weirdo guy walking around every time I was there. He says he doesnt work there but he buses tables and carries drinks. Oh and he's rude. Really rude. He totally put us off.
The bartenders are OK but get too busy to really take care of everyone adequately. The food is generic pub food. Nothing to write home about. The beer selection is reasonable and the prices aren't bad.
Its just a bland bar. No real personality. There's some couches and probably some theme nights. But... eh. I'd prefer a bar with more personality or at least more attentive service. I can get a beer anywhere, and it probably won't be here again.
Watch out for the creepster.
(Dined 9/25/11 SU): Thanks to a social coupon by Double Take Deals ($20.00 of food for $10.00), my friends & I found yet another nice place to catch some games and enjoy happy hour prices on drinks and food.
The way my friends and I see it, being a regular someplace is nice, but we also believe variety is the spice of life. Plus, during the NFL season, it's always good to have several options depending on what time you finally head out to catch the games or which team(s) you're root for.
The Office is very unassuming from the outside; hence, we kind of got lost trying to find it (look for the KFC at the corner right next door). But once we got here, it was on! TVs everywhere, a nice size bar that fits between 10-12, high tables along the wall, and if you go to the back of the place, there is a lounge/couch area with one huge TV.
They have plenty of beer both on tap and in bottles/cans, as well as a full-stocked bar with alcohol and wine. We started off with a glass of Kona Longboard ($4.50 ea.), and worked their great daily "happy hour" menu by ordering hot wings ($5.00), 3 soft tacos ($5.00), and onion rings ($4.00). we also order their  1/2 lb cheeseburgers which comes with french fries ($8.00 ea.) and two refillable sodas ($2.00 ea.). Please keep in mind that their food menu is rather limited, but more than enough choices to have with your drink(s).
The hot wings are spicy hot, the onion rings are crunchy and don't fall apart when you bite into them, french fries have a nice crispiness, and the cheeseburgers melt in your mouth! Damn, I'm starting to get hungry just reading this myself!
The service was as good as can be. The place was busy with a full house watching games, so being well-attended to can't be expected under those conditions. However, they did the best they could. And the bartender/waitress (Amanda) was cute, so I'm also giving her a reprieve.
Parking is a bit tight as they only have about five parking spots. However, there is plenty of street parking along Hollywood Way and the surrounding neighborhood streets.
Overall, I'm happy I bought the social coupon to The Office because the entire experience was a good one. The place was packed with great NFL fans, the food was better than expected from a sports bar, and based on the prices, and I found exceptional value (total bill was $43.00 before coupon and tip). And they take my credit card of choice...AMEX!
This place has a lot of potential -- it really does. Â They don't do anything completely wrong, but they lose stars from a bunch of small things that add up.
I come on Wednesday nights for Trivia and Rockband. Â The drinks are strong, the bar and bathrooms are clean, the host is hilarious and the crowd is young, upbeat and lively. Â Those are the good things and on those merits alone this place would have 5 stars...
But the food is good, not great. Â Judging by the other reviews it seems I had a rare experience, so I'll have to try again. Â But in my order the cheeseburger seemed old and undercooked, and the fries hard and overcooked. Â Not terrible, but not what I expected.
The service is good, not great. Â The bartenders are hot and friendly, but they make frequent mistakes. Â To their credit, they often give a drink on the house when this happens, so it's not a big deal. Â But a small improvement here would make a big difference.
Trivia is awesome, and Rockband has the potential to be awesome, but starts too late to have the crowds it needs. People look at their watch at the end of Trivia and call it a night.
I imagine it's also a Catch-22 for the managers -- if Rockband drew bigger crowds, they'd spend some money getting the cooler drumset, getting all the songs, and starting earlier. Â But so long as it starts late and boasts a tiny selection of songs, it won't really gather the regulars that other rockband bars do.
All-in-all, this place is worth a visit on Wednesday nights. Â Bring some friends, cut the bartenders some slack, don't look at your watch and enjoy the games.
Not bad.
I wanted a cheeseburger last night, so my boyfriend and I ventured out to Burbank since it's close.
Since it was Thursday, this place wasn't busy. The service a little slow since there was only one waitress (this place is small, so I guess it makes sense), but she was working her butt off.
The food was pretty good. The fries were overdone, but the burger was that perfect "greasy-but-bot-too-greasy." Â Not the best burger I've ever eaten, but it definitely squelched my craving.
They were very skimpy on the condiments -- we had to ask for more ketchup and they gave us little cups of it.
Still, the staff was friendly and accommodating. And the prices were really reasonable -- we got two cheeseburgers w/ fries and three beers for $28.
Since this is a sports bar and food is probably not their number-one priority, I'm cutting them some slack.
If you like sports, you will go bonkers for this place. Big assortment of beers, tons of TVs, including a huge one in the back, with a bunch of big couches to sit on -- it probably makes you feel like you're watching sports in someone's living room and there's a never-ending supply of chicken wings as your disposal.
This must have been the best cheeseburger I ever tasted! Â I can tell that the meat was high quality! Â The other plus is the garlic aioli on the burger! Â I was in heaven!
I like the fact that it's a small bar, very contemporary looking, and the service was amazing! Â Rolando, the server, was extremely nice and made me feel welcomed at The Office! Â I will definitely be coming back to this spot again!
I had a coupon (buy one get one free with 2 drinks) and decided to come in around 4pm. There was only a few guys at the bar and I ate my burger and loved ever bit of it. wow soo good and such a small menu!
I loved the setting of this place it is perfect!
Bathrooms are nice. my bf liked the pee high score game lol (ew)
Very good staff, one girl and she worked it good!
Only a few parking spots in the back and street parking. The location is kind of weird but found it with gps.
Burgers are my fav food, and boy did the office do a great job and making me happy! Â :)
The Office is the perfect spot to grab a few drinks before heading off to the airport.
It's an upscale dive bar. leather seats running the length of the building with tables in between it and chairs. Â There's also a section that looks like it could be used for dancing or karaoke or something. I guess, from other reviews - beirut (beer pong for the average joe). Â
Our bartender was friendly and served as both the bartender and the cook! impressed. Â The onion rings were just salty enough to stand out from the average ring. Â The portobello burger was deee-licious!
I also enjoyed that they were playing Star Wars on the flat screens (along with a few other shows).
NIGHT OUT for some drinks...
Good place to bring over friends on a day out... Not a crazy bar like place. Just a place to get your head cleared after a long day of work or a crazy fight with a b/f or g/f.
The prices for drinks are as usual, just like any bar.
I recommend this place since its not always busy, but at times would be great if good company is with you.
C+
3 Stars
The year is 1983. The town is anywhere in the US. Drunk girls are playing beer pong. Drunk guys are getting beer pong playing drunk girls even drunker. The music is typical dive bar music, only this doesn't look like a dive bar and the prices aren't very dive bar-ish either. Sound like a weird dream? Newp, it's just another day at The Office and I still don't get it.
I think this bar may be having a bit of an identity crisis. When you walk in, it shouts, "Hi, we are looking to be an upscale Burbank bar. Do you see our pretty bar and bottles of booze, sexily lit to create a sleek ambiance?" But then there's beer pong and redneck looking dudes and trashy girls and I suddenly think I am in the 909 at a dirt bike convention. I dunno, this place definitely wasn't my scene. Maybe I hit it on the wrong night, but can't say i would rush back.
I like The Office. Â A lot. Â It's got a combination between a lounge-like ambiance and a sports bar atmosphere, so it's a crowd pleaser for a lot of different types of people, plus they've always got different bands or events going on there. Â It's seriously just what we need in this neck of the woods. Â
Personally, I enjoy it the most when I go with a couple friends to have a beer and kick back and people watch.
The Office has made west Burbank a whole lot better.
These two guys, John & Brian, turned a really dreadful dive bar into a very upscale, wide open, very cool bar and grill. Â The decor is slick, with dark tones, probably 10 HDTV's (with a hi-def signal), wireless broadband, and killer bathrooms.
They serve a wide range of "rotating" bottled and draft beers, as well as a permanent stable of both. They offer a solid wine list as well.
The Office really hits it's mark with the food. Â Really good, with great portions, presentations, and extremely reasonable; from 1/2 lb burgers ($8) to horseradish encrusted salmon fillets ($12), to their steaks ($14)
I had the Penne Pasta w/ mushrooms & sauteed chicken($10) for a late lunch today that came w/ a salad and garlic toast. The meal was fantastic.
21 and over only.
Great place!!!
Wow has the Blue Chip transformed! The Office has turned a grimy sports bar into a mini Yardhouse like bar/grill.
The layout is pretty cool. Bar to the right when you walk in with quite a few bar stools and tables with booth like seating on one side and bar chairs on the other. Dark wood finishing and black vinyl. Looks really nice inside.
They have Blue Moon on tap which is AWESOME. The small menu has some pretty good things on it. Burgers, salad, appetizers. The prices are extremely resonable. The chicken caesar salad was yummy and so was the roast beef melt.
Pool tables and darts are now gone and are now replace with about 10 flat screen TV's. Â In the back there are a couple couches to lounge on. Â Nice change for Burbank.
