The Old Town Flying Pig

I should have known when plastered all over the windows was Lunch Special.  Not good.  Slow service, slow to get my order, and most of all no taste.  I should have know it would be normal bar food.

A friend of mine who is really into sports asked me to meet at the Flying Pig to watch a basketball game.  It was the only place described as a sports bar close by in Lewisville.  More like a smoke bar.  I think that all the patrons of local bars that ban smoking moved here.  I could not stay more than 10 minutes before I had to leave from not being able to breathe.

Decent little neighborhood bar situated right on Main Street USA, well to be more precise Main St. Lewisville.  A friend and I stopped by for a few beers and some apps to try them out.  It was like walking into Cheer's sort of.  All the regulars were at the bar and we were the outsiders, but after the initial staring everything was good to go and people were really friendly.  The beer was fairly priced and the drink special was surprisingly good.  The big downside was that evidently we choose the wrong day to come.  The cook never showed up that day and only the bartender was working, so much for apps.  Regardless though it was enjoyable experience and would readily go back for a place to kick back and just drink.
