The coat check at this place lose my $200 jacket. After talking to Frank Recupero, think hes the owner or manger, he assured me he would take care of reimbursting me. Â This guy gave me the biggest runaround. Â Every time i would call looking for him i was told that he had just stepped out. I drove all the way to the club several times looking for him but nobody knew where he was or when he would be back. Â Needless to say i never got my jacket or reimburstment. Â I'm so glad this place closed. Â HaHa thats karma Frank!
Review Source:Due to a three weekend string of shootouts during the summer Orchid has closed before the town of Saugus was forced to close them(I'm not making this up - it's all on <a href="/redir?url=http%3A%2F%2Fboston.com&s=c3aaf7dc99d547a34892a83ac741c8bd5890fcd369c480cd4a5ebe81a72077c7" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://boston.com</a>).
But due to the juice the club owner/promoter has with the town there will be another sleazy club opening in it's place in a few weeks. So keep the body armor and Mac 10's handy.
I have to say this place is alright. I used to be a big clubber, now not so much. When I do go out I tend to overdo it, and Orchid is the place for that. I agree with much of what has already been said - huge parking lot, enough orange to make you feel like you are in the Willy Wonka factory, and the reggae/hip hop room gets to crowded and has a funky smell to it. And it is certainly amusing to people watch.
I disagree however on the comments about the bartenders. I was actually impressed with them. Every time I went up the girl knew what I wanted, she got to me quick and the drinks were strong. Maybe I lucked out, but I can't complain.
