The Original Pancake House

I have lived near this location for YEARS and this was the first time I have ever stopped in and tried this place. My boyfriend and I waited for maybe 15 minutes before getting seated. For going on a busy late Sunday morning this was not bad at all. The place was definitely smaller on the inside then I thought it would be.  We got seated and waited on with in minutes. There was A LOT on the menu to order from. I got the brown sugar and almond french toast. That was the hands down best french toast I have ever eaten. What made it even better was the strawberry syrup that they make there. WOW that was some good stuff. I will be going back.

We use to go to this franchise a lot on the west coast, so I was pretty excited to see we had one in Indiana.  Drove 45 minutes to get there and was highly disappointed.  The food menu was very limited, service was very unenthusiastic, and the place was dirty!  But what pissed me off the most was when we were paying, I was asked to wait?! I had a toddler with me and we were ready to leave! To top off our experience the cashier told me to put a tip on our credit card slip!!! I informed her a left a cash tip at table.  Very rude to be told to add tip.  I think Denny's is better then this location!

Because the food is delicious and the restaurant is family friendly, we have dined here since our children were babies. It is still a favorite breakfast spot, with everything cooked fresh and to order. I especially like the fact that I can have lower fat and calorie choices ( poached eggs, toast or oatmeal, freshly squeezed orange juice,etc) while everyone else eats the very filling and delicious crepes, corned beef hash, potato pancakes, and every kind of waffle, omelet, and pancake imaginable. Do be prepared for the typical noise of a busy restaurant filled with diners and expect lines during the holidays and after a nearby church lets out on Sundays.lines move very quickly though. Seating is either at tables or booths. We prefer booths.
