  This place is great! Best Chinese food around. Always fresh!! Seems like they have a lot of regular customers each time I go. Good service too. Friends of ours have been eating here for years and told us we had to go. Only problem is they close early!

  First, we have to say that we can't believe all the good reviews on here....it was NOT fresh and tasted "blah". It reminded us of cheap take-out Chinese at high-end restaurant prices.  David thought it was "horrible".

  This is the best Chinese food in downtown San Clemente.  Overall, four stars.  Good food, good ingredients, good service.  But they get a fifth star for having the best lunch special in downtown.  
  
  For $6.95, you get a bowl of soup, a small iceberg salad with ginger dressing, and a decently sized portion of your entree, plus little fried wonton strips to snack on while you wait for your food (which never takes long anyway).  And to top it all off, they have their lunch special going every day, including Saturday and Sunday!  Most places get more expensive on Sundays, but this place stays cheap, with very high quality food.  Highly recommended.

  Pretty decent Chinese food offering normal items you'd see on a Chinese menu.  Love their house special fried rice (shrimp, pork & chicken) which takes on a darker brown color as they season the white rice with soy sauce.
  
  The sauteed dishes were made with fresh vegetables & proteins, and the sauces were flavorful and not overly oily or thick & gloopy.  You'll definitely get good food here, better than a fast-food take-out place.
  
  It's a little place owned by Asian people who run it like a traditional place so the decor is a little outdated. It's very clean so go into it expecting great food from a mom & pop type place, which suits San Clemente perfectly.

  We are very discerning diners.  We actually work on this street but have been afraid to dine at Pacific Taste because it is in a weird location and is ALWAYS empty.  We have out of town guests who wanted Chinese; so based on the reviews here, we tried it, with a positive attitude, truly hoping it would be good, as this street sorely needs a good restaurant.   The result:  WE WILL NEVER GO BACK.  These people do NOT know how to cook.....at all.  And their wine selection is really bad.  They are friendly and try to please, but they do not have the knowledge or capcacity to do so.

  I have been there multiple times now.....

  *Food is fresh and tasty
  *All fresh vegetables all the time
  *Always made to order
  
  I am a vegetarian and I am very cautious as to what I eat.  They are great.  They custom made the hot n' sour soup to my liking, as well as the main dish.  Priced pretty reasonably and well worth it.  I would and have definitely recommended this restaurant to others.
