What a great find nestled here in the West Loop area. I used to work a few stops from here and stumbled upon it while browsing for great happy hour places. Though it appears small from the outside, there's actually a good amount of seating, and it feels quite spacious.
They offer a great selection of red and white wine, but not so extensive that you gt lost, and the bartender with tattoos (Craig?) has a generous pour, which is never a bad thing. I also went to their first-year anniversary celebration and met the owner, the Paola! She's incredibly friendly and welcoming, and she takes the time to introduce herself to everyone, which I believe is one of the most important things an owner/manager of a restaurant/bar should do.
Definitely recommend this place if you're looking for a casual place for drinks or even a wine date night with your significant other.
I was surprised by this somewhat hidden gem. It's a terrific wine bar, that is not only perfectly located for after work drinks, but also hits the mark on many other levels.
I have only ventured to Paola's Vinum after work, but it had a lively crowd when I went and seems to anytime I pass by the location (I work nearby).
The service was excellent (especially the friendly bartender) both times I went. Â Also, I had the chance to meet the very personable and welcoming owner of the establishment. It's always a plus to have an owner directly overseeing operations when I visit an establishment.
Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to Paola's Vinum and will definitely be back again.

This is a good after dinner cocktail spot. Me and a few friends decided to come here after school got out at 8pm on Valentine's Day. I really liked the place, but I am docking two stars because their selection is not that great, and the service was terrible.
The weird waiter made up for it for giving us a drink for free, because he forgot to bring one that I ordered.
We had a few of the appetizers which were pretty decent. The cheese plate was good, and so were the mini sausages. The bruschetta was okay, but I did not care for it much.
