Amarit Thai Restaurant

Love this place! It is a neighborhood favorite. Great prices, great service and great food! We eat here at least once every two weeks- either to go or dine in. The pad Thai with shrimp, the gyoza and the hot fried curry chicken are our favorites!

Gross.

To be fair, I'm not the biggest fan of Thai food but I've had my fair share over the years. This place tastes nothing like I've ever had before & that's not exactly a compliment.

The restaurant is quiet & cozy but I think the fact that it was nearly empty had a lot to do with it. If I were smart I would've taken that as a cue to take a pass...

I ordered the cashew chicken which passed as that by the slimmest of margins. It was big chunks of sliced chicken in this watery brown sauce. Disgusting. I took four bites &  was done. I can't really pinpoint exactly what was wrong with the food; it just didn't taste good.

The waitress was nice & she gave excellent service but I will never return.

Love Amarit; their pad see ew is my favorite in the city. Everything else on the menu is always consistent and the service is perpetually friendly and attentive.
