I was seriously craving a pizza from Papa Murphy's tonight. Got the kids in bed and bundled up to go get some yummy study food. Arrived at 10 til 9pm. The workers had turned off the inside lights, but the open sign was on, so i walked in. No pizza for me. When i pressed they offered to sell me a pepperoni. I'm a vegetarian. Bummed i walked next door to Kroger to see if there was something there for me. I walked back to my car in the cold empty handed. Â I pulled out my phone to text to my husband that he could turn off the oven. Â Then i decided to write this review, because i'm rather PO'd.
One of the workers just walked by my car holding a half empty bottle of Jack Daniels. Awesome.
Ok, so here I am reviewing a chain again. Â But I do love me some Papa Murphys. Â The name of the place says it all. Â They prep the pizza with the toppings you want, you take it home and bake it in your own oven. Â Because there's no baking going on, or servers or tables etc., they're able to charge much less than the other pizza chains while still utilizing high quality ingredients. Â The pepperoni pizza is absolutely loaded. Â Their stuffed pizzas are pretty good too. Â Plus they have other things like 2 liters of soft drinks and cookie dough (I can't say how well the cookies turn out if baked because we always just enjoy the dough straight from the container with a spoon!) Â Here's a tip though. Â Before baking a pizza pierce it thoroughly with a fork, or else you might get crust bubbling (behold the power of steam).
