Not gonna lie... my immediate impression went along the lines of "seriously, this place is a Panera knock-off", but then I didn't get stuck waiting in long lines, I still got to enjoy the incredible bacon turkey bravo sandwich, and to top it all off... I got a (free) cookie with my meal! Â Not to mention it's right down the street from my house, and well... Panera isn't. So say "goodbye" to Panera and "hello" to Paradise Bakery!
Review Source:This place is really great! I've never been to a Paradise  Bakery before and left impressed. I wish there was one near my house or my office because I know I would be going often.  The place was so clean and the staff was really friendly. We went in for a coffee but came out with soup, sandwiches, salads, and ice tea! The system of ordering is a bit confusing.  Each station has a separate line, then you pay at the end. I was in the sandwich line when I really wanted soup and salad. The lines weren't long so it really wasn't a big deal. The ingredients seemed fresh.  I loved the French Onion soup, it really hit the spot. After 2 long days of raging Phish in the oppressive heat, soup is what I needed. They even let me order it to go,and it fit perfectly in a large coffee cup.  The turkey sandwich and salad my friend and I split also hit the spot. We took it all to go and hit the road, WI Bound. I swear Paradise got us there!!
Review Source:Food taste is 4 star HOWEVER, having just had lunch there and observed the poor food handling - I am grossed out. We sat in front of the salads on 1/22/12. The girl, wearing gloves, overfilled the pasta salad container, used her gloved hands to scoop the pasta into container. Then - with same gloves on- she grabbed a wet dish rag and wiped off counter and around salads. Then- still same gloves- prepared fresh salad, actually touching food. She topped it off by wiping her hands all over her apron, using the same rag again and repeat with next customer. Those gloves aren't to protect YOU lady---change them! Frequently!
Review Source:I'm a regular patron of Paradise. It's a great place for coffee and a dessert. The coffee is much above average, certainly better than Panera, for instance. The food selections are a bit overpriced but their salads are very good. It's an excellent location for a small group get-together or to meet with a business associate or potential client. The complimentary wifi access also makes it a convenient temporary workplace when you're on the go.
Review Source:I went here for the first time and I ordered a double espresso and coconut chocolate chip cookie. The cookie was delicious; it wasn't too sweet (perfectly balanced). The espresso shots were nice. There was a nice crema on top without a the nasty bitterness of some espresso stands that do not know what they are doing.
The place was clean and appealing. It reminded me of a Panera, but Panera has an automatic espresso machine and Paradise has a manual. A manual will almost always beat out an automatic machine when the barista has basic skill and knowledge.
