Great Fine Dining in Lake Alamanor
This is a great fine dining place that you would expect to find in places like San Francisco or San Jose. Â If you're looking for a great dining experience in this part of northern CA, this is the place to come. Â The food here is top notch and the chef does an excellent job. Â Everything we had there from the soups, salads, main, and deserts were all done with high quality. Even the seafood here tasted fresh which shocked me. Â They also have a couple of vegetarian options too.
Cost here are bit on the high side, appetizers and salads will run about $7-$10, mains about $23-$30, and deserts around $7. If you are looking for fine dining in this region, this restaurant should be at the top of your list.
Kind of an odd place... Â Obviously the local version of an upscale restaurant, but without the ambiance or service to prove it. Â We got there about 30 minutes before our reservation, and thought we might get seated a little early. The hostess told us to go and sit at the bar, and they'd set up a table for us in 5 minutes... Â About 25 minutes later, we reminded her that we were there (after she seated some people who came in without a reservation), and she said they were "still setting up a table for us," so after we'd been sitting at the bar around 45 minutes, we were finally seated, and the hostess told us that since we were early and got seated late, we could "split the difference" which I thought was pretty inappropriate. Â The menu features typical California cuisine, and the food was OK, but nothing special. Â The wine list is pretty good, and the bread offered before the meals was also good. Â I probably would try someplace else next time I'm in the area.
