Sadly this place is mediocre and pricey.  $19.24 for two barely edible lunch plates.  I kept thinking that these guys could make so much money if the food was better.  This close to campus & easy parking for non students what's not to love except the food.  The egg rolls were the worst I have ever had.  I think they fried them in old grease or something.
It was weird to order too.  If you go there just ignore the posted signs because they are wrong and order at the cash register.
We won't be going back.  I am not willing to give this place a second try.

I've waited a while to write this review, because I wanted to give it a fair chance...and I really, really wanted to like this place because I love Vietnamese food and this place is literally across the street from UTA. I had a bad impression the first time I came to this place when it opened. They messed up my order. I thought it might be the inexperience of the people who worked here so I thought nothing of it and gave it another chance. They have continued to bring me the wrong orders! Once, I ordered spring rolls and specifically asked for shrimp only, because it was during Lent and I was unable to eat meat other than seafood....but sure enough, I bit into my spring roll and it had shrimp AND pork. That upset me. Sometimes they bring me the fish sauce for dipping, other times the peanut sauce for dipping.

Besides the poor service, I should mention that the taste of the food is good...not great. Just decent. The pho bowls are a bit bland, there are better tasting pho restaurants nearby. The assortment of sprouts and mints is very little compared to other pho restaurants nearby. For the price they charge for a bowl, I'd expect a little more than what they give.

In all, this place is okay. I'll still eat here simply because it's the only Vietnamese restaurant within walking distance of the UTA campus. I'm very disappointed this place isn't better. I think it could be better. Buyer beware, make sure you're getting what you ordered...

The price is a bit high -- for the named specialty: $7.50 for a small bowl, $8.50 for a large. Slow. Wait for cashier. Out of thit nuong. Confusing set-up. Dried-up, crusty mall-style Chinese food. Sealed cafe su da was interesting and strong -- great job! Great looking set-up, but there were 8 unbussed tables with food and leftover food -- gross! Their open kitchen concept is better than Pei Wei and really a great draw. Lots of potential, if someone would just work at it.
