Love this place! My wife and I very rarely get time to go out together but when we do this happening little village bar is a must for us! Even on nights when we go out for dinner first Piano Piano is our choice for desert and a drink after dinner. The place is gorgeous, very large open dinning area and a nice sized bar. They have live music most weekends and the staff couldn't be more warm, friendly and knowledgable. Their tapas menu and deserts are fantastic and the food is always fresh! Can't wait to go back! THIS PLACE IS A GEM!
Review Source:I really enjoy going to Piano Piano. It has a classy atmosphere and is never too crowded or loud. The staff is friendly and helpful. They have a good selection of appetizer-type food, and I've thoroughly enjoyed everything I've eaten. The salsa dip is addictive! It's a hot, gooey, cheesy salsa dip. They have a good wine list, haven't had a disappointment yet with any I've tried.
Review Source:Piano Piano is a nice little spot to get some wine in Fishkill. The space is great with really high ceilings, dark walls, and low light. The waitstaff were very friendly and knowledgable and the wine was good. Â They have a large beer and wine selection and a small appetizer menu. The location is great and is within walking distance to restaurants in Fishkill.
Review Source:Went to Piano Piano Wine Bar while on a business trip to IBM. Great looking building on outside. Decorated inside like a Holiday Inn. Purple walls with white trim. Bartender was cut and dry. Did not know much at all about wine. House wine he poured tasted like cheap cooking wine. Â The wine was discounted because we were told it it was "left over" from the weekend. Place was quiet, and mostly empty except for my partner and I. Â For what we received, the food plate pricey, and the cheeses were uninteresting and served too cold. The loudest thing we heard was a conversation between the bartender and - I think - his wife, complaining to a male customer about a competing business down the block. Â Bartender called someone named Paula a bitch and the wife laughed. Â The male customer seemed shocked. Â So were we, so we left soon after. Â Piano piano just seemed sad and depressing, run by a frumpy couple with no clue and nothing nice to say about anything. Super nasty and negative vibes. Maybe they should call Piano piano closer to what their personalities seemed to give off: Poison poison.
Review Source:I went to Piano on a Sunday afternoon with my family and was very impressed by the space. It wasnt very busy as it was Mother's Day but I am definitely looking forward to going back again. Im looking forward to going when they have live music and the owner is very friendly and welcoming.
Review Source:Decided to stop in on a Saturday night after a show. Â This is NOT a piano bar (LOL), the name was a little misleading (turns out it's an Italian idiom about relaxing). Â
The good:
- The building and interior are beautiful with excellent parking and a short walk from the nicest restaurants in Fishkill. Â
- Very friendly service. Â
- A nice sized snack menu. Â We had olives, caprese salad, cheese and a slice of cake; all delicious.
- Excellent selection of wine; very reasonably priced. Â The selection will afford you a chance to try some things you've not had before.
The bad:
- The service was friendly, but very uncoordinated. Â We ordered multiple flights of wine and there was a 5-10 min. lag between each flight coming out. Â They ran out of glasses and only had one person pouring. Â
- I asked for a recommendation between a couple varieties of wine and got a very vague answer ("I like them all"). Â I was looking for the server to provide some expertise and share the elements of the wine in which I might be interested. Â
This seems like a new establishment, I think the bad can be easily remedied...which is why I gave them 4 stars instead of 3. Â Would happily go back.
Well, this is interesting. The village of Fishkill, which Wikipedia tells me has a population of only 1,735, has not one, but two excellent wine bars. They're very different, though: Piano Piano is in a large spacious, high-ceilinged room which I gather from another review used to be a bank. The decor is nice, the proprietors very friendly, and we chose a good reasonably-priced bottle from their list.
Review Source:Great addition to Main Street in Fishkill. Â Owners Rich and Anne couldn't be friendlier. Great selection of wines by the glass ranging from $7 on up. Â Bottles are also available as well as a menu of small plates like tapas.
The space is beautiful its in a historic building - it used to be the old bank.
They also have music there and will be having some upcoming tasting events.
We enjoyed a red Primitivo from Puglia and a white vermentino from Italy. Â Rich will also let you taste something before you buy, which is always nice.
We will definitely be back.
Another wine bar in Fishkill??? Oh my!!!!
What a nice spot in this vintage building. Located right on Main street...an easy find. Parking can be an issue.
Decor...Old World meets new....
Our meet & greet was friendly and knowledgable.....we had a gr8 Merlot, some fine crudites and an excellent time. Next time...I will try the patio!
