We found this place through Groupon and we were excited because since moving to Florida from the Chicago area we have been looking for some good Mediterranean Food. Â I'm happy to say this is the place we have been looking for!!!!
It's tucked away in a Publix Strip Mall and hard to notice from the street.
We loved everything we ordered.  The shawarma platter with hummus, almonds and  falafel was wonderful, so was the Veggie Platter with Hummus , Baba Ghanoush, tabouli and stuffed grape leaves.  We keep debating which was better the hummus or Baba???
Service was great too. Â Loved it that we could get extra pita when we ran out.
We reallly hope this place makes it...It's a great addition to SW Florida..
Can't wait to go back...
I stopped in there because I needed a quick bite to eat and didn't want the usual places around there (Subway, Publix sub, etc). I had the gyro and it was fabulous! I told the cashier it was my first time there and he made an extra effort to be very friendly and efficient. I heard other diners elaborating on how yummy their meals was too!
Overall, very clean, friendly staff, quick service, affordable and really really good gyros!
Thank you Pita Palace, I'll be back!
Really great. Â I had the Shawarma plate, and was in heaven. Â Perfect humus, Shawarma was very tasty and tender, and the falafel was crisp and so freaking good. Â Wife had the chicken gyro, and I had a few bites to help her clean her plate, and loved that just as much.
Check this place out...you will not be disappointed.
We love mid-Eastern food and based on the stellar reviews we just had to try out this place. Â It was fabulous.
We had: (1) the Shish Kabob Platter which came with char-grilled beef tenderloin cooked perfectly, a pita & hummus, together with rice, and (2) the Gyro Platter which included gyro meat on a pita with tomatoes, onions & tzatziki sauce. It came, for some reason, with fries, which didn't quite seem to go with the meal and were the only downer in this otherwise excellent meal.
This is clearly a "mom & pop" joint and well worth seeking out.

I spotted this gem when I was considering early dinner options. Â There's a Subway in the strip mall, but that's old and predictable. Â I'm SO glad I tried Pita Palace. Â The owner (?) was very friendly, and his family was around. Â Love family-owned/operated places!
I ordered the gyro wrap combo (with fries). Â Upon leaving, though, I realized that the combo included a drink. Â Right?? I didn't get my drink.. Â Oh well..even without a drink, the price was still spot-on. Â
The gyro was the best I've ever had. Â The meat was NOT Kronus brand-style (hotdog on a spit), but rather chunks of meat (lamb? ALL lamb?). Â My mouth is watering again thinking of how delicious that meat was. Â There was so much meat, it was spilling out of the gyro. Â The sauce was perfect, and the bread for the wrap was delicious. Â The fries were plentiful AND double-fried, which is the tastiest thing you can do to a french fry.
I wish I'd have found Pita Palace earlier on my vacation, but if I'm ever in Ft. Myers again, it'll definitely be at the top of the Go To list!
Excellent middle eastern food. i m a from middle east and i think their falafel and hummus are very genuine compared of what we have back home, and taste so good. We tries stuffed  grape leafs, and baba gunnoush,  they are great with a quality highly above average among many other middle eastern places we tried in florida.
Regarding meat they make, we tried chicken kabob, shish kabob, and kofteh kabob. The best is the chicken kabob, especially with the accompanying garlic sauce that comes with it. Shish kabob is also very good and was very tender.
However, the kofteh kabob (kobedeh kabob) is not the best i had. We will definitely go back again as we live near by.
Stopped into Pita Palace with several people before going grocery shopping.
The staff made us feel right at home, introducing us to other patrons as well as the delicious Mediterranean food.
Every thing is home made.
The Baba Ghanousch was very flavorful; we will certainly buy a container for take out.
The special of the day, Falafel Wrap, was crisp and tasty. Served in a large pita. With the fries and soda combo upgrade, the wrap was very filling.
The Shawarma wrap was beef, not lamb. It came nice, coated with Tahini.
There are many items to choose from and we will definitely go back.
