This is our "go to" place when we want quality food. I have never had a bad meal here. I usually stick to the specials which are creative and delicious (the Rueben Pizza for example). Always a great place for fried clams or beer battered chicken tenders. Service is excellent and super friendly.
Review Source:Found PJ O'Sullivan on yelp while visiting Manchester. Â Glad we gave it a try. Â Service was great, she was very attentive. We shared the onion rings, they were tasty and not greasy. I tried the beer battered chicken fingers and they were soo good and arrived hot. Another person had the buffalo chicken sandwich and it also was very good. Â Another had the fish and chips, fried haddock. She enjoyed it but the coating was a bit too thick for her. Â We all took some food home because it really was too much to finish in one sitting. Â The atmosphere was fun because football championship game was on and they have TV's everywhere. Â Will definitely go back next time I'm In the area.
Review Source:Pre-gamed here before heading over to a night I would like to forget at a club nearby. I like this bar. Outdoor patio looks cool with the tv. If I'm up this way during warm weather definitely want to check it out. Good selection of beers and of course Heineken Lights available always makes me happy. Some friends ordered food but I didn't partake so I won't review it. The only con was the slow service. One bartender is not enough in my opinion. He struggled to keep up with all of the thirsty patrons.
Review Source:PJ's has great pub food, drinks and a quality dinner menu. Â As far as bars go, this place has some of the best food in town. Â You can't beat the meal and the price. Â Overall, food quality is a step above other restaurants in this category. Â I would choose this over Billy's even though Billy's is closer to my house.
Breakfast is awesome on the weekends and the fireplace is cozy on a cold winter day. Â
If you smoke butts, there is plenty of room on the patio and you can bring your drinks with you (a very important consideration for me when I used to smoke butts).

Awesome food, great bartenders, great atmosphere. There bar can get pretty full at night (especially when there's a New England sports game on) but it's always a good time and in 5 years I've never seen a fight. There's a covered patio area for smokers. I recommend this place to everyone.
Review Source:Located at the pointed corner of S. Willow St & Maple St, this "old timer" bar & grill serves up typical good pub food and drinks. The food menu offers fried appetizers (wings, tenders, sticks, nachos, etc.), salads, soups, sandwiches, burgers, pasta dishes, seafood, steak, homestyle comfort food (baked mac & cheese, meatloaf, country fried steak, & more), 10" special pizzas, daily specials, and desserts (apple pie, cheesecake). The prices here are moderate, sandwiches $8-$9, homestyle food (no salad) around $10 and a full dinner section (include salad), around $13-$15.
The Battered Onion Rings ($5.99) are pretty good! The Shepherd's Pie ($9.99) which has ground beef, cream of corn, topped with mashed potatoes & baked on a glass plate, has a sweet and savory taste.
Beer specials are offered here including $2.25 Coors drafts (all the time) and $2.25 Budweiser/Bud Light drafts (M-F: 4-7 & during all Red Sox & Patriots games).
The atmosphere here is an open room (renovated) with minimal lighting, large brick tile flooring, plenty of framed classic pictures of local Manchester sports teams on the walls and Red Sox & Patriots signs. There's seating at the U-shaped bar & high top table seating to the left side of the room and table & booth seating in the regular dining area on the right side. The room is surrounded by 11 TVs including a large flat screen TV on the left end wall behind the bar and a projection screen TV on right end wall in the regular dining area.
The seating around the bar is generally occupied by "50 & 60 something" folks enjoying their beers & mixed drinks, talking sports, issues, and cracking jokes about their lives and marriage. The laughs are pretty loud!
The service here is laid back and easy going! The server on my last visit waited on my table and at the same time, actually had a meal with her friends at another table across the room! My basic table needs were taken care of, it's all good!
