Why there are no reviews for this place is a mystery to me.
I first came here three years ago and enjoyed their pork chop sandwich. It was simple--a well seasoned, thick pork chop between two pieces of bread with a side of fries. The pork chop was delicious. The fries and bread? I didn't care. The pork chop was the main attraction.
I came back to town for work, wondering if it was still as good as I remember. I went back, and it was as glorious as I remember. It gets a little smokey as they cook up their orders, but I feel that's part of the charm. I ordered the boneless rib sandwich special, which came with a side of fries and can of soda for $5.75. Not a bad deal. The sandwich came draped in barbecue sauce and was topped with some chopped onion and pickles. It resembled a McRib, but was made of actual, real meat. It tasted very, very good. Again, the bread and fries were just there. I ate the fries, and enjoyed them--but my attention was on the sandwich. My, my, my.
The prices are very decent. It seems to be in a relatively quiet residential area, which might explain why it didn't seem very busy. A few people came in to pick up to-go orders; I was the only one in the restaurant eating.
