Ponderosa Steakhouse

After going here several times over the years, the service is great, but the quality of the food is substandard , after placing or order for 6oz sirloin well done, and fries, with buffet, we took are seats and were greeted and got our drinks before we got our coats off, once at the buffet, we found dried, crusty, some cold items on the bars, and wilted lettuce , frozen egg, diced bologna soaked in slimy liquid, other ingredients dropped in others and looked as though it had been stirred in, the dressings were slopped every where and dried on.
  As our steaks came out, she placed them down warning us the plates were hot, we discovered they weren't, and the steaks looked like pieces of charcoal, upon cutting into them , the blood ran out and they were as red as the waitress's face, after they took them back ( 3 times ) the steaks were maid a fourth time fresh even and still were not right . and the fries were even cold so they put them back in the microwave  I found this out by asking the waitress if they did, she confessed .

Nice buffet selection for the kids.  They got plenty to eat and didn't waste the usual amount of food.

I had a sirloin which was better than I expected.  I had added the buffet when I ordered and it ended up being way too much food.

No problem with any of the food, but I did have trouble getting to it.  Very small lobby, where you are expected to stand and order your meal without being able to see what is on the buffet.  This caused problems because three other families came in while we were trying to order.  It made for a mess once all the kids started talking and moving around while we were trying to guess what was on the buffet.

This is not a problem for people who eat here all the time, but it was a real pain for infrequent diners like us.

I have kids, let me get them strapped to something before you make me order!
