It's just like any other potbelly's you may encounter.
I just happen to go here because it's the closest to me.
The sandwiches taste the exact same as the ones I get anywhere else in Chicago and the staff is generally friendly, never had bad service.

This review is based strictly on value- not on cost.

I ordered a cup of chili and a chicken sandwich.

The chili was quite decent (3-3.5 stars out of 5)

The sandwich was decent, but nothing special. I couldn't really taste chicken; it tasted more like chicken skin. I've definitely had much better sandwiches at other delis and would say that even Subway makes a better sandwich. (1-2.5 stars out of 5)

I also ordered a chicken salad sandwich, which was actually quite good (4 out of 5).

Lastly I ordered a Dream Bar, it was pretty tasty but WAAAAAY too buttery...I could taste the butter while I was eating it. It was actually greasy. DISGUSTING. 0 out 5.

It's fast, it's cheap, it's delicious. I absolutely love their veggie sandwich (mushroom melt) with everything on it and extra hot peppers.

    Good food
    Good service
    Delivery, carry out, eat in
Now they've branched out into salads, more sizes of sandwich, etc. their prices have risen noticeably.
    Still a tasty grilled sandwich.
I prefer the turkey hold the mayo and oil with hot peppers and all other ingredients on whole wheat skinny.
Their new Mediterranean sandwich on whole wheat is very tasty!

I've been to this location a few times and I have yet to be disappointed.  Food is really good, service is awesome, place is clean. What more can you all for for a quick cheap lunch? I had an oreo shake at the most recent visit and it was delicious, i'm craving one right now actually.

I love every sandwich on the menu! The customer service is outstanding! They really take care of you and have fast service! They even deliver. The grilled chicken and cheddar with mushrooms and the werks aS well as the chicken salad sandwiches are my favorite! Soup and chili is bueno!

Got a meatball sandwich, chocolate milk, and a chocolate cookie. The meatball sandwich and chocolate cookie were alright, but the chocolate milk was bad since it was pretty much just plain milk with a tint of brown. Not that a BEVERAGE would ruin my view of a place, but the sandwich and cookie were just "A-OK". I'd recommend to others

I really, really love Potbelly's.  It is sooo yummy!  Even though its my whole day's worth of sodium, sometimes you just have to go to Potbelly's.  I went in yesterday for dinner and really enjoyed my sandwich.  I got the turkey on wheat with mayo, mustard, oil, italian seasoning, onion, pickle, and lettuce.  The sandwich was exactly what I had wanted.  I also realized another reason I love Potbelly's so much, the onions are diced so you get a little bit in each bite (it's not overpowering).

This location isn't that convenient for me, but I would definitely be back if I were in the area.

I've reviewed two potbelly total on the yelp, I think this the third and really why? since they are all the same.  Well, that's precisely why....to declare  the outstanding consistency of this former "one of a kind" sandwich shop.

I moved to Chicago in '97, went to the original Lincoln location shortly thereafter and quickly became a fan.  I can honestly say that the sandwiches they put out at every Potbelly i've been to since (and that's a ton) are pretty much exactly as I remember well over a decade ago.

The Wreck, Tuna and Turkey are my go to's and never leave anything other than totes satisfied.

Imagine that, *another* chain that got it right.doh!

You can probably see on my reviews that I go to a lot of Potbelly restaurants and this is the one that is closest to my new job. I have not had any complaints about the speed of service. i am usually in and out of line within a couple of minutes. Everyone needs to remember that it is the toaster that makes the line slow!

The pop machine does have cherry coke (a plus for me) and their peppers on the side are free. The only bad thing is that street parking is pretty terrible if you go at lunchtime.

Soooo frustrated.  I should wait until I'm not this frustrated to write this review, but I'm consistently frustrated with this location.  The lines are slow and the order takers are always doing that thing where they try to yell over six people to get your order so they can get the orders in and wander off while everything else gets backed up.

I love the bike delivery guy idea but, seriously, how much are they paying these poor souls?  Hire a couple more.  Two hours is an absurd delivery time for a place down the street.   I think I'm finally going to give up on this game.  There are other places in the area.  Thanks for playing.

If you're in this neighborhood with literally dozens of locally owned food choices why are you going into a chain?

It's Potbelly's, the food is pretty much standard from location to location.  I always get the roast beef with no mayo because for whatever reason I have deemed most white condiments to be the work of Satan.  Possibly because I am insane.  I don't go to Potbelly's a whole lot, but I noticed at this one they actually have a soup of the day.  At the one on Damen, every time I've been there they've had the same two soups.  So yay for this location.  They were quick and friendly and have never fucked up my order by putting dreaded white condiments on it.  I'm glad that they got people through the line today because if the line was long or moving slowly I would have answered the siren song of the portly Italian ladies and their Italian beef at Patio at the expense of most likely over 500 calories more.  So, Potbelly's my own little belly thanks you for your speed.

    Great Potbelly Sandwich works.

Only gripe is the .50 cent cheese on the chilli.

Staff excellent, product perfect, and location is awesome.

    Nice and roomy and cosy.

Great for a meal under $10.00

I like Potbelly's sandwiches. They are well prepared and are more tasty than Subways. This location is absolutely excellent! Its right on the corner of Taylor and Laflin with "ticket in car window" parking. You can really run in and out in no time. This location is not just for students, but also for workers in the many healthcare facilities in the Medical District.  The staff at this location is very efficient and friendly. There is a bus route and University shuttle on Taylor Street that is accessible for this location. This location does indeed carry S-A-L-A-D-S!!! I was just there yesterday!  Unfortunately this particular store is not wheelchair accessible which can be a concern especially located in a medical center.  Otherwise, that is my only complaint, but if staff is hospitable enough to accomodate those unable to climb the steps, then that would be great.

Great little Potbelly's location located across the street from RoseBud and Hawkeyes Bar & Grill in Little Italy on Taylor St.  When I have time to walk over from campus I will go here for lunch compared to eating the over priced healthy food & the fast food provided on campus.  If you are a UIC student and haven't checked this out, please do so before you graduate!  There aren't many seats so go on off lunch hours and they can be slow at times or lack a full stock of chips after the lunch rush.  Bathrooms are confusing to find at first, in a back hallway, but are always very clean and neat and look like new each time I've visted!  Most Taylor st places give students a discount (not sure if potbellys does) but if they do no better reason not to try them at this location! :D

i havent eaten any type of red meat in 4-5 months. this place broke my streak. i felt extremely guilty ordering a meatball sandwich, but oh each bite was more orgasmic than the next. in total, there are 8 or so sandwiches on the menu and all are equally priced at $3.89. that alone is an irresistible deal. enormous pickles are 99 cents each (wowowowow) and soft-baked, oatmeal cookies are $1.29 each. the location is right by my sister's apartment, so if we cant decide what to eat, potbelly's is there to suffice our cravings.

i gave this particular location a 3 because the service wasn't all too great. the cashier was busy talking to her friend before and during our transaction. the service was a little slow too. oh yeah, i asked for extra peppers on the side and got none. now that really hurt.

Subpar potbelly's location.  Inconsistent quality and the staff isn't very quick or friendly.  Go to conte de savoa instead for a delicious sandwich.  It's a nice price here though.

Although I absolutely love Potbelly's this location is not my favorite.. they don't have salads and they always have live music.  Sometimes the live music is good but other times it just sucks and its not what you want to be listening to while you eat
